  1. Nobody else is going to roll in next to Triyun besides you, you are fully aware of this. Africa and Middle East limits you incredibly on the type of nation you are, and everything else(the parts that people actually want to RP) is controlled by #hegemon.

I just rolled into a RL shithole area of the world, surrounded by powers on four sides. Lets see how limiting it really is.

  2. The Global War on Terror in the early part of the 21st century wreaked havoc on an already unstable region. The northern states managed to avoid the eye of the United States as they continued to govern themselves. Afghanistan and Pakistan were not so lucky. The former combated the Taliban for two decades; with US involvement bringing a weak democracy after the Taliban government fell. In the time that followed, many nations held control over central Asia. This provided those governments with buffer regions and a cheap labor force of an already exploited population.

Central Asia began uniting. In their differences, they had one common element that bound them together: fear. Fear of more invasions and exploitation. The Soviets fought to steal Afghan resources. The Chinese sought to buy the rights to those same resources away from the native population.  Kazakh oil and natural gas was stolen by Russian corporations in the 21st century. Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan were relatively ignored as other “more important” nations received aid, while their people suffered decades after the fall of the Soviet Union. History recently repeated itself with Cochin, the Dragon Empire and even Tianxia.

Central Asia had to come together, akin to their time in the Soviet Union when they helped form one of the strongest nations in the world. Over time, they began to integrate their infrastructure and defense posture. They developed a customs union, a currency and began integrating their economies. Their external voice became united, as did their militaries. Kazakhistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan and Pakistan would form a centralized government to handle these affairs, as well as developed a common and united internal policy. Culture would be able to flourish among the nearly 1,000 different tribal and ethnic groups that make up Azadistan.

After nearly 50 years under this centralized government, the leadership had fallen into the corrupt routine that makes up dictatorships. The institutions that had made Azadistan flourish were now falling apart. Inequality was rampant and the financial markets fell without a substantial recovery. Government reform was too little, too late, with much of it rolled back to suit the power brokers. The people were angry. They began rioting and fighting the government. A small civil war ensued against the established powers and the rising power of the people. The conflict ended with the Agreement of Täwelsizdik küni, which gave rise to the People’s Democratic Union of Azadistan and the Council of Ministers, led by Nursultan Nazarbayev.

  3. "That is perfectly acceptable though we would request de jure transferring protectorate administration over during the preparations of the referendum"

"This is acceptable for us. Let's begin preparations immediately."

  4. "This referendum would be appropriate, with the 50% requirement. We have seen the work the United Kingdom has done to improve Australia, so we would not be opposed to the protectorate region falling under the protection of or under proper governance by the UK. Should either of those options be chosen, we will wish to maintain control over Perth and the islands just off the coast of the city for a military presence in the East Indian. I have the authorization to state we will hold the referendum in two months time. During the referendum, Novak will observe the vote and the ballet counting."

  5. The representative would arrive in Canberra to discuss the situation in Australia. Government services and economic opportunity have been improving under the administration of the United Kingdom, so the representative was prepared to hear what the UK had to say regarding the region.

  6. Qurei would motion for a legal aide to create a draft. "It should be complete by the end of lunch," Qurei said. As if the staff were waiting for a cue, a catering service immediately brought in lunch for the delegates and staff of both countries. It would feature cuisine unique to Novak as well as some British favorites. By the end of the meal, the draft was brought in for the parties to sign.

  7. "Your role is Tasmania has been impressive. When it comes to Australia, that's closer to what I feel would be appropriate. Novak should remain the de jure protector of the Australian continent. This covers the military base we have established in Perth, the unrestricted military access across the protectorate and allows Novaki investment to flourish in what we believe will be a more stable presence to our business leaders. The United Kingdom should serve as the primary administrator of and primary face to the protectorate region, with the possibility of annexation determined by a popular vote and our confirmation of the results. Prior to any annexation vote, we will shift de jure Protector status to the United Kingdom at least a year in advance, allowing you to take full responsibility for the region. We will require that we maintain the region around Perth, the island bases near the city and the unrestricted military access prior to, during and after any annexation of Australia."

  8. Couple notes:

    • I'm stepping down from the GMship.
    • I'll be locked from 11/23/2014 to 12/21/2014. If I have any open RP's with anyone, let me know so we can complete them before the lock.
  9. "That is something we'd be opening to do in the future. We've had limited interactions and Australia has suffered at the hands of foreign powers already. Britain and Australia may have a history, but that has not been influential to events or to their culture as a former Commonwealth nation in the last few decades. For the time being, we'd like to see Australia operate as a Novak protectorate with some British assistance, until such a point where the citizens of Australia see a British protectorate as more beneficial."

  10. This poll will run for 48 hours, and only valid CNRP2 Players can vote.

Everyone has two votes. If you vote for more than two people, your vote instantly becomes void.

If you have the need to post do so on the OOC thread, otherwise posting on this thread voids your vote.

These GM's will serve until the end of the current term on December 15, 2014.

  11. The diplomatic mission would be met after their arrival by Admiral Kochavi and General Qurei. Aviv would exchange greetings before departing to handle Australian matters. The General continued on, leading the mission to the Embassy. A small tour of the Capital district and historic sites would be arranged for the foreign office employees while Qurei and Marbury met in a modern, yet ornate, meeting room near his office. The room overlooked the Capital district and the surrounding skyline.
