I'll send $3M, they'll send 100 tech to the nations I assign. If either is interested, I can send money right after update.
I'm just here to say Baldr's tech deals rock. Choose him. 7. I am going to issue a public statement on this from the SBA. We in the SBA have acknowledged Poison Clan's announcement and accepted a sum of reps. We will not discuss the amount of reps since it really is noone's business. We in the SBA would like to Thank those of you that sided with us and brought Poison Clan to a decision. Most of all, we in the SBA want to give gratitude where it is due. Let it be known that Echelon will continue to be the protectors of SBA. They have stuck by us when noone would and we stuck by them when few stood by them in the Karma War. We hope that Echelon and SBA friendship will last. Thank you for your attention. Have a great day!
 8. I want this to be perfectly clear so I am going to use big letters. The incident between SBA and Poison Clan is over and no more needs to be said about it. We in the SBA have grown respect for Poison Clan and wish no more vendetta's started over this incident for anybody. Please stop posting in this thread and leave them alone.

 10. Yes we at the SBA have gained 4 new members and a lot of recognition because of this incident. For an alliance trying to stay under the surface of global wars this really is not a good thing. ): It is what it is.
 11.
I was going for the "incomplete information with protectorates isn't uncommon, nor particularly damning" angle, not offering them up for a retributive raid.
Come on now. SBA has a no raid policy. I was just joking.
 12.
Heh, just noticed something...right now, there is a Poison Clan protectorate with no wiki, and with 8 of 11 nations (all of the nations without nukes, thus the ones most likely to be raided) claiming no protection. As best I can tell their forum features no indication that they maintain any treaty links, and looks to be pretty dead; five total members, a peak online of three set well over a month ago. It looks to me as if AcTi has ticked many of the same boxes as did SBA.
Oh really. They can expect possible raid then.
 13. I have noticed people throwing around aid for the SBA. Please pm me in game to discuss details if you are serious. http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=320183
 14.
Most of the very vocal supporters, the ones screaming "PC did nothing wrong, it's all Echelon's fault, and if it comes to war, we'll ride with PC" are people from Athens, \m/, FOK, The Corporation, etc. That is, alliances that tech raid, alliances that have tech raided other alliances. Bottom line, they don't care. Their theory is that if you aren't big enough or well connected enough to stop them from tech raiding you, that they have the right to do what they want. All of the "Echelon didn't make it clear that this was a protected alliance" stuff ignores the fact that PC raided that alliance twice before, and that Echelon has contacted PC before to say "Hey, you're raiding an alliance we are protecting". PC knew SBA was protected, they just didn't care. And they aren't going to start caring unless significant military force lines up against them. Beating up on smaller nations/alliances is what they do. Personally, I think the SBA nations who were attacked made a mistake in accepting peace. If you don't fight back, you give the tech raiders what they want.
You don't know the situation....I buffed up my military completely and bought 5 guerilla camps, 5 barracks, and fully deployed my military. Even then they had so much tech that I couldn't get odds over 30 percent. Not to mention they all had nuclear weapons. I wasn't about to try anything stupid.
 15.
Because tech raiders want to attack people who are smaller than them, and tech raiders don't have any intention of paying reps when they do it. This should be obvious. All of PC's talk about "we didn't know, so it's your fault" gets nowhere with me due to the fact that PC had raided SBA twice before this incident, and had been contacted by Echelon. They raided SBA again anyway. And to me, that's the most important point of this thread. If PC decides to raid SBA again, they won't be able to use the "We didn't know, so it's OK" excuse. Echelon only asked for 1/4 of the damages. (Less, technically.) PC refuses to pay so much as $3M as a token payment. This isn't surprising - tech raiders can't afford to pay reps every time they tech raid anyone. I don't know SBA, and had never heard of them prior to this. However, according to the Echelon protectorate agreement with SBA, "Article V: SBA agrees to follow tech raiding rules, as outlined by Echelon". That's where I came up with that.
Alright. SBA Charter article 4d states: At this time, SBA members are not permitted to raid other nations.
 16.
Was there ever a thread stating that they had merged or disbanded?(as far as i can tell there was talk of a merger that fell through) Im pretty sure there was a DoE and even an OWF post about their treaty when it was signed. No more info here on the OWF tends to lead to the assumption that everything is status quo no? Your argument surely cannot be "but the wiki says so". The very least you could have done was aproach Echelon about the issue at hand no? Or maybe the raiders didnt want to realise that their prime raiding target may not be legit and would miss out if they researched fully.
Our merger did not include all of our people. Only half of our alliance went to Echelon. The rest remained.
 17.
That screenshot was taken today, the war was started on the 28th of Feb, between 28th of Feb and today there have been what 12 days? Within those 12 days he could have edited his nation bio and addded in: Protected by Echelon. Seeing as he is one day inactive currently, that could have very well happened and by that extension, giving this screenshot as an argument in invalid. But I do agree, Poison Clan is in the wrong here. Poison Clan should pay reps for this raid, at least 25% of the damages occured and forget about it and move on.
I hereby vouch for the screenshot. Valvation's bio is accurate.
 18.
Hey Tela, remember that time PG-13 got raided and when their protector posted a (somewhat inept) thread in an effort to secure peace you valiantly rode in on the steed of justice to demand that they pay you reps because he was overly aggressive in his defense of his protectorate? If PC ever finds themselves alone and a bigger party takes a page out of their book and decides to rub their faces in the mud just because they like to see them squirming and gasping for air there will be quite a few of us who won't care much even if they would have taken umbrage in similar circumstances. By the same token you've waived your sympathy ticket by happily helping hoist the nerd on the flagpole in the days when your star was shining. Best of luck to SBA. I hope you get your reps.
Thank you.
 19.
They do now. The fact is the wiki said SBA had merged. Your ex-Leader said you merged. You had nothing in your bios. PC did their research. Then SBA does get raided, the wiki is updated, your nations have their bios updated. I would not be paying reparations if we were in this situation due to the fact SBA seemed unprotected.
Just because we seemed unprotected does not give anyone the right to attack us. PC knows that we are under Echelon protection. They have attacked us in the past. There is no miscommunication.
 20.
Of that same token, 1 member of a 13 member AA told them they weren't protected.
Which one was that? The lowest one? That makes sense I guess. Because anyone with a brainstem would ask the lowest one on the totem pole and not the top one.
 21.
What exactly are we "lying" about? Echelon can keep saying 'oh anyone can edit the wiki so it isn't legit' as many times as they want but the fact is it wasn't just anyone who edited the wiki. It was 2 members of Echelon. The raiders who hit SBA are experienced raiders and I also don't believe for half a second one of the nations they hit had "Protected by Echelon" in their bios. It's the very first thing we check before anything else and to say this would have been overlooked before even proceeding to the wiki is laughable. Mistakes have been made on both sides but they were honest mistakes and I don't see why we should be made to pay reps over this.
So it's essential for us to put that in our BIOS to not get attacked now???? Even if this is true you should look at the top SBA members because they all have protection by echelon in their BIOS. This is absurd.
 22.
According to this, PC had been informed, and then continued to raid. If that's all true, then PC is clearly not following their own charter, and is continuing to raid SBA even after being informed. Looks like they did inform PC, and the raids did not stop. Of course, I'd have more sympathy for SBA and Echelon if they didn't do tech raids themselves. But they do, and they don't pay reps when they raid, so I figure they have little room to complain.
This is not true. SBA has a NO RAID POLICY!!!!!!
