  1. Right now, the strongest nation at the end of a round gets to put their own flag in game. That's great. However, that opens it up for loopholes where people can sort of/kind of war slot fill the top nation and guarantee that he/she won't be knocked down. I propose that the flag prize is not given to the strongest nation, but rather to the nation with the most casualties at the end of the round. Hopefully that may even encourage more wars! -A1
  2. To all SWAT members taking shots at 4077 - shut up and get back to the war. There is no reason for us to get involved with the troll web on these forums.
  3. Davyp is a ghost of SWAT. You can kill him if you want to.
  4. GGA now has a WRC. http://www.cybernations.net/stats_alliance...obal%20Alliance Congrats guys. I knew you'd get there...eventually. edit: ah crap I just realized i posted this with my TE forum account.
  5. Well, the explanation of this mess on the bottom of page three got drowned out very fast by the childish arguing in this thread, so I'd like to redirect you all back to this post so we can get this thread back on topic. Thanks.
  6. I already talked to you about this on IRC but I might as well bring it to the public. I am the "SWAT Leader 1" from those logs, so I believe I may be the one most qualified to talk about what SWAT was or was not planning. Yes, 4077 was a considered target after the UN war. We figured we would give ourselves two weeks to raid unaligned nations to get some tech and nukes before going in and set a tentative attack date at March 13th (Friday). However, in those two weeks, our strengths drifted farther apart as more nations from our SE parent alliance joined SWAT. We did not consider it an even conflict stat wise, and took 4077's name off the table. Some people thought that the expected military support from BW may have balanced the 4077 conflict out, but at the time many BW nations were sitting at 3.00 NS, so we weren't sure if they would be able to catch up from their back collections in enough time to make it even (I guess they did after all ). We then went on to consider other targets that were near our strength. OJ, Fellowship, AZTEC. Pretty much every alliance that was even with, or greater than, our strength at the time was thrown around, but no definite target was chosen. We even pushed the proposed assault date back. During this whole time (from immediately after the UN war until a few days ago), as any alliance would have done, we developed a back up plan. We know that almost every alliance in this game has friends. And we know that whether or not they have treaties there was a high probability that no matter who we attacked we may be countered by a third party. So...we went to MHA and asked them if they would be willing to intervene if some alliance, any alliance decided to make our war unbalanced, no matter what side that alliance was on. We did not specifically say Fark, CE, TPF, LE or any of the others you name. We actually didn't specifically name anyone. We simply asked that they be prepared to intervene against whoever decided to join the war on our targets side and/or bandwagon against our targets. They agreed, and waited for more information on who we were going to attack and when. I am the so called "military commander" of SWAT, and I have been mostly absent this week. So little to no progress was made on the details of our assault. We still hadn't chosen a target or an attack date. MHA was running nation building programs while they waited for details from us. I'm not sure how all of this was extrapolated to be a plot against Fark and allies, but it really wasn't. It was simply MHA promising to keep our war even and fun, and waiting for us to figure out when and where that war would happen.
  7. Let's keep the 4077/SWAT situation out of this thread. This is about LE and SWAT's peace. And with that, I'd like to thank LE for their understanding in this matter. You truly are a model alliance.
  8. heh. Nice pic. I admit I lol'd.
  9. Sorry, I just had to make that post readable before I could respond to it. 1. The whole point of TE is awesome, mindless wars. Just because we were more coordinated than you and got a quick victory after just three days of war does not make us cowards. It makes us organized. 2. You are not winning the war. The Initiative is. Do not take credit for the well executed blitz that your alliance was not a part of. 3. The reason they have "no chance" against you is not by your own skill. Rather, it is because you have allies like TPF with sufficient skill to defend you. 4. Really? Do you honestly think flame baiting Ceasar by calling him a bad leader is going to get you anywhere? I was hoping this war would stay respectful. You just shattered that hope.
  10. Hey LE, can we get a break for a few days so we can take out UN again?
  11. We should have finished the job the first time.
  12. I did not try to "play off" nations as ghosts. I misread his/her statement thinking he/she said SWAT members raided 4077 prior to your bloc's assault. Knowing that SWAT has a strict raiding policy, I was doubtful that any of our actual members were raiding 4077, when everyone knew full well we were preparing for some sort of war in the near future. Thus, I said that they were probably ghosts. I have since seen the war screen and re-read the post, so I now know that their attacks were merely a retaliation against your Bloc. I have been nothing but honest regarding SWAT's intentions in this thread. Trying to act like I am spreading misinformation is just plain insulting.
  13. Hey, it seems those three were SWAT nations after all. So....big deal? Also, perhaps there are some revenge sentiments from a few members seeing as how some of our members were formerly in NAAW last round. However, those who are "in command" do not hold such grudges, and I assure you our original choice of 4077 as a target was not influenced by these members. It as about numbers and finding an even combatant. Simple as that.
  14. first things first. SWAT has many ghosts. We like to keep them around as meat shields for our real members. Those were likely the nations that attacked 4077. Not actual SWAT members. Secondly, we were planning to attack you, yes. Your high nuke count, average NS, and proven military record from M*A*S*H last round seemed to be a great challenge for us. After demolishing UN two days into the round, we wanted to step up our game and take on some of TE's best. However, As our sizes became less and less even, we decided we would be better off taking on a larger alliance. So...in the end, we weren't exactly planning to hit you. We didn't actually finalize what our real target would be, and we didn't have a definite date set for the attack either due to the fact that our SE parent alliance has had some major changes which required our attention. We do understand your preemptive strike though. SWAT would have done the same thing. Also, to Londo. We have been approached by several alliances for treaties. SWAT, however, maintains a strict "no politics" policy which forbids us from signing MDP's and being dragged into the characteristically bull-crap TE politics that we see so often. Our goal is to blow stuff up. We find a target, we kill a target. Seeing as how treaties can interfere with our simple lifestyle of just getting into awesome 1 on 1 wars, we will never sign anything above an NAP to keep counters off of our backs. That was the reason the alliance between CE and SWAT was turned down. No hard feelings. Anyway, good job with the blitz. We now have the challenge we've been looking for.
  15. We shall cease attacks at 12:00 pm tomorrow.
  16. This has been a long time coming. I'd like to thank TPF for their months of hard work put into this treaty.
