I love what Micro-Alliances bring to the game; its very refreshing to see some passion and people standing up for themselves. They, like many of us medium-sized alliances, are in this to enjoy their communities rather than "win" the game. To this purpose, I see many of them as being very honorable and holding steadfast to their principles; imo and from my experience, a smaller alliance is much more likely to honor its treaties than a larger one.

We had a superiority complex; from EmperorCharles on down there was this idea that GUARD was going to rise to the top after Aegis/the League fought the Initiative; there was a belief that neutrality would propel the NADC to the top like the GPA. I was in IRC a day before the NAAC disbanded though and remember being asked if we would help out; I was only a press secretary at the time and could only reiterate Charles' position of noninterference; I pleaded with him though because I was very anti-GOONs. He didn't listen though and the rest is history. Even if GUARD had intervened, I'm sure we would have been rolled though; there was little to no communication with our allies because of an errant concept that the NADC had to keep its advantages to itself. To be blunt, we were very, very snobbish and had a disproportionate sense of our self-importance.

Deservedly so I may add :lol: We had our heads so far shoved up our a**** I would have done the same!

A wonderful read; please do more, this brings back a lot of memories. @AirMe; I miss the days when the NADC/NpO/NAAC all shared the Blue Senate. There was lots of dialogue in those days; Polaris was always a lot more friendly to the NADC than NAAC was. (I was in NADC foreign affairs at the time.)

I'm afraid that you may not have a full understanding of the current state of political decorum in CyberNations today; in fact, many alliances see any attempt to recruit their members as a provocation for a justified declaration of war. You placed your recruitment message in the Alliance Politics forum; it would have been best to post it in either the Open World forum or the Player Created Alliances area. Now, I highly recommend that you withdraw from this thread and request a mod-lock immediately; as an experienced member of CN you should understand that you are endangering your alliance by continuing to disrespect more powerful communities. Furthermore, even if you don't receive any direct threats from some of our more aggressive alliances, you will surely be henceforth viewed as a target of opportunity by tech raiders and rogues; for the welfare of whatever it is that you hope to accomplish, take a deep breathe and walk away.

I admire your determination to get your alliance off of the ground; however, I'm sure that you will have more success by finding other individuals who have similar principles to your existing members. Speak with some alliances that you respect; ask for advice and perhaps develop a friendship than a protectorate. As an aside, a well-constructed dialogue on how to develop/maintain the successful governance of an alliance is located here; On the Proper Government of Alliances. I suggest you read the entirety of that thread as it will assuredly enhance the skill that is required to establish an effective government with hard-working members.

I thought there already was an alliance called Wolfpack; erm.., maybe I'm just old and deranged. I luv the theme and hope you do well. edit.. oh son of a-... just actually READ the OP, much respects to both parties.
