You were expecting the banned leadership to charge back to CN leading a thousand 10ns nations to a glorious vengeance upon everyone who had *oh so* wronged them? Fat chance, they don't care. The most they care is to attempt to sabotage our efforts in an attempt to retain their fanatical belief that they and only they can be the real goons. We are the alliance known as GOONS now, our members are already coming in from SA. That is what a GOONS alliance is.

When negotiating to allow us to start a new GOONS it only seemed logical to talk to people we knew from other worlds. We happened to know a lot of people from another world in NpO. It was only logical that in the process we would align ourselves to those who we knew. Saying that, however, we got to know the new NpO very well through the process, and they helped us tremendously. In the process of clearing the protectorate with NPO, they asked to come too so we let them sign on. This is not the drinking buddies 2.0.

Still not getting why people are ragging so much on NpO, they are completely different compared to how they were in the ~ period. How dare you punctuate your ridiculous post with our emoticon.

Uh oh guys, we're being assaulted verbally by a cacophony of catchphrases!

We haven't even begun to pull from the motherland of 'SA, you'll know when we do though. Also you overestimate how many people in the old GOONS were actually SA members, it was dramatically less than half, it was mostly pubbies.

We realized that there would be pressure from both parties, but we will succeed nonetheless.

No they were deemed terrible because they (OOC: Stopped caring about the game, got themselves permabanned from it) and dragged the alliance down with them. If they had merely "lost" it would not have been an issue. They started a war they knew they would lose, because they were literally through with (OOC: the game), and left the old GOONS to rot.

We can't exactly advance our social agenda at 300K NS can we? Give it time. Recklessness at this point would lead to our demise. We didn't reform GOONS to lose it again.

Well thank you for the consideration, and for the record I can see perfectly well why people would see our protectorate from NPO and NpO as a betrayal. But it's really much more complicated than that.

Oh no not our precious memories of an alliance who decided to kill themselves after successfully driving most of their membership away with purposefully reckless leadership decisions. God forbid a new alliance attempt to rebuild what they threw away. The only people truly responsible for the death of the old CNGOONS are the leadership who grew tired of the game and instead of handing the alliance down to a new generation of leaders, ran it into the ground. Sponge and ~ may have been the agents but the fault still lies with the ones who turned their backs on the game at large. To defend them is to defend those who despise this world and all the people in it. Besides, memories are only that. We will prove ourselves in time, despite what you and many other detractors say.
