    Imperial Assault Alliance Declaration

To the brave and loyal members of the Galactic Empire, to our allies and friends among the stars, to those who call Planet Bob their home, and to those who don't really care all that much for us:

I, Grand Admiral MercyFallout, am pleased to declare the following:

    1. Emperor Chimaera is an awesome ruler but a horrible military commander.

    2. Lavo_2 actually can fight wars.

    3. IAA has more red buttons than it knows what to do with...and we are collecting more.

    4. Mathias fails at coup attempts.

    5. There are too many "Darth's" in IAA.

    6. Tie Defenders rock your socks.

    7. Kuat Drive Yards is at maximum Star Destroyer Production.

    8. Stagger_Lee likes cookies.

    9. Burger needs a new mic.

    10. The male to female ratio in IAA is no longer 50:1. Its somewhere around 33:1.

    11. Chimaera is the master at the art of bothering people until they join his alliance.

    12. IAA is officially over One Million Nation Strength and 200 Nuclear Warheads.

    YAY US!

Also, party in #IAA. Drinks/other things on Chimney.

On the more srs bsns side, I hereby declare eternal open season on Cat of Schrodinger of Grand Chandelier (Also known as Rebecca) for crimes against the IAA, conspiracy to bring down the Empire, continuous attacking the Empire, and the besmirching of the honor of a good friend of ours.

  2. Emperor Kim had managed to get some more formal clothing--at least, something more imperial than a pair of jeans and a shirt. He was still in the foreign ministry. There were enough communication lines there so he could deal with all of the issues at once. Something about protests in Dalian for closing the port and reports from field commanders on the Northern Border. A ministry agent walked up to him carrying a sealed message.

"From the Lady Protector, your Highness."

    "Thank you."

The man bowed before leaving. Keehyuk unsealed the message and read it. Minister Oh walked in when he was about halfway through the message.

    "What is it sire?"

"The Hanseatic Commonwealth. The Lady Protector Sarah Tintagyl sent us a nice message."

He finished reading it and handed the paper to Patrick.

    "How shall I reply, mi'Lord?"

"Tell her that we would be more than happy to meet her in Tokyo. Tell her to expect planes bearing Korean Imperial colors to bear in soon. Standard escort group."

    "Aye, sire."

"Get me on the line with Seoul Airbase. Need to tell 'em to wake up the pilots."

    To: Lady Protector Sarah Tintagyl

From: Empire of Korea Foreign Ministry

    RE: New Relations

To the Lady Protector of the Hanseatic Commonwealth,

Emperor Kim would be more than delighted to have the meeting in Tokyo. He will be arriving within the next few hours in a small Korean aircraft marked with Imperial crests and colors. An escort group of a half squadron of Imperial fighter planes will be with it also being Imperial markings. To the glorious future that awaits us.

    Duke Patrick Oh,

    Foreign Minister of the Empire

    IC:

Emperor Kim arrived wearing mostly casual clothing at the Foreign Ministry. He had planned on spending some nice quality time with his daughter, but alas, the woes of being a head of state. But still, this was necessary. Several Guardsmen stood outside of the ministry building. They snapped to a tight salute as Keehyuk walked through the doors and down the halls toward the minister's office. He could hear the phones of the ministry staff members ringing continuously as they picked up call after call trying to deal with the situation. When he entered the Foreign Minister's office, he saw the man busy behind a mountain of paperwork chattering something or another into a phone. He took a seat near the door after hanging up his trench coat. A few minutes later, the Minister--Patrick Oh, an older gentleman who preferred to be called by his baptized name--put down the phone and stood up to greet Keehyuk.

"My apologies, my Emperor, for the disturbance and for calling you here."

"Think nothing of it. What happened?"

"We still aren't sure. A rebellion in the Lu Empire started, drew large amounts of strength, and marched on Yamato. Then suddently, the Yamatojin government simply...collapsed. The armed forces disbanded and in some cases started fighting amongst each other."

    "Our forces?"

"Have moved up to the border."

"What do you suggest we do, diplomatically?"

"I suggest we contact the Hanseatic League. They are beginning to protect large tracts of land across the globe and have taken measures to protect the land of Yamato already."

"I see. Get me in contact with the Hanseatic Lady Protector. It seems we have more interests in common now."

"Aye sire. Also, the Special Diplomacy Unit has come up with some...very interesting finds."

    "Oh?"

"It seems that the former Yamatojin government rigged the polls in Yanbian."

    "Eh?"

"The people of Yanbian voted overwhelming in favor of joining the Empire yet the Yamatojin's rigged the polling devices to record more in their favor."

"Those tricksters! Add discussing the transfer of Yanbian to the Empire with the Lady Protector to the agenda."

    "Yes my Lord."

    ==Communique==

    To: Lady Protector Sarah Tintagyl

From: Empire of Korea Foreign Ministry

    RE: New Relations

To the Lady Protector of the Hanseatic Commonwealth,

Greetings from the Empire of Korea. Emperor Kim has expressed great interest in expanding diplomatic ties with our Eastern neighbors in light of the Commonwealth's greater presence in the Far East. There are a number of points of interest that the Emperor wishes to discuss as well--including the Yanbian prefecture of Jilin, Yamato. If you would, please respond so that a conference or some forum of discussion may be planned and opened.

    Thank you for your time,

    Duke Patrick Oh,

    Foreign Minister of the Empire

  4. As the Emperor and his daughter were boarding a luxury jet painted with giant imperial crests on the side, a black Imperial Guard car sped onto the tarmac and a man wearing a foreign ministry uniform jumped out.

    "My Lord, My Lord!"

Keehyuk turned around as Nia scampered into the plane.

    "What is it?"

"My Lord, the Yamato government has collapsed."

    "What? How?"

"No one is sure yet, My Lord, however the situation demands your presence. The Minister has begun talks with the Hanseatic League over the situation."

"Get on the plane. Go with my daughter to the Rebel Army. I will inform the minister that there has been changes to our flight itinerary."

    "Aye sir."

Keehyuk turned and went into the plane and found his little daughter staring out the window next to the engines.

"Hyejin, some important work has come up and Daddy has to go take care of it. Mr. Yoon here will take you to the Rebel Army. I'll meet you there in a few days, okay?"

She looked at him with tears in her eyes.

    "But you pwomised daddy!"

    He hugged her tightly.

"I know, I know. I promise we'll have our trip as soon as I meet you in Rebel Army. Daddy's so sorry."

She hugged him some more and nodded softly. She pulled away and wiped the tears from her eyes.

    "Go Daddy go."

    "See you soon, okay?"

    "Kay"

The Emperor walked out of the plane and stepped on to the tarmac. Guardsmen stood in perfect rows in formation. The driver to the car had the door open waiting for him. It was time for business.

==Transmission to the nations of the world==

'Due to complications with foreign affairs near the Empire of Korea, the Emperor is unable to participate in the early leg of the voyage. Due to instability in the near region, the Princess's travel itinerary has also changed. She will go first to the Rebel Army and then to Europe and the Americas.

Thank you and we apologize for the inconvenience.

  5. This. There is no need to have exchange rates except to further confuse peeps through further rules complexity. All currencies should match currency values in-game, i.e. 1 Transvaal rand (florin) equals 1 unit of everyone else's currency.

    Meh. I guess that works.

Then 1000 of mine = 1 of everyone else's (I've always RP'd mine as 1000x the standard currency).

  6. Absolutely no currency exchange markets, for the love of god. Its developments, change in prices, supply and demand are quite complicate in fact and are consistently affecting a country's economy in a daily basis. Considering that almost every RP'er here skip the economic aspect of a nation, I believe we can't suddenly emerge in such a complex and specific area.

We can just set the exchange rates and lock them. Like the original function of the IMF (or close enough). >__>

  7. Right, so, based on some of the IRC and non-IRC talk, here is a proposal for how to do a base currency exchange (not for all individual nations, I suppose we can discuss that as we go on).

The strongest currencies in the world would be as follows:

    1. Viniland's (whatever)

    2. Rebel Army's Rebel Credit

    3. Bavaria's (whatever), HEU's Hanseatic Mark, Prussia's Thaler

Bavaria's (whatever) = HEU's HM = Prussia's Thaler << "Base currency (BC)", similar to the USD

    1.5 BC = 1 Rebel Credit

    2 BC = 1 Viniland's (whatever)

    0.66 Viniland's (whatever) = 1 Rebel Credit

    Sound good? :v

  8. Rightyo, since we don't have set (or anywhere NEAR) set currency exchange rates, lets start deciding them.

The biggest national economies in CNRP are currently Viniland, Rebel Army, and Bavaria. So more or less, they would be the equivalent to the "pound", "dollar", and "euro" of the real world (which is which is up for everyone else to decide, I vote for them in the order I presented).

My nations currency is the Korean Won (KRW) and is currently on a 1000 to 1 exchange rate with the Rebel Army's Rebel Credit (mostly for convenience sake when adding/subtracting/etcing with Korean currency numbers. No decimals, nothing in the ones column ftw.).

So basically, decide some currency exchange rates. GO!

  9. For clarity, I came back with reduced stats. My tech was halved, my land quartered, and my infra....I think I got third of it.

I have also voluntarily given up my saved stats. I've passed all of them (or will soon enough) anyways.

  10. The Emperor graciously thanks all of the invitations. Below, the Imperial Travel Itinerary* can be seen.

    *Itinerary subject to change.

OOC: For the sake of time, I'm gonna impose crazy RP time here and have each visit be on RL day but a different number of IC days. Otherwise we'll be here until the end of August. XD

    IC:

Emperor Keehyuk sat through yet another boring and dull hearing session with two rather loud and obnoxious minor nobles disputing the bounds of their territory. Their argument, if Keehyuk recalled correctly, was over a matter of a few meters. He had half the mind of stripping both of their ranks for being such an annoyance. Still, they had booked this session six months ago so he would oblige them for the fifteen minutes that he needed to.

Once they had finished their arguing and finally came to the decision to compromise, the two were escorted out from the Audience Hall. As the doors closed shut, Keehyuk signed and slumped down in his chair a bit. Suddenly, he heard the high pitched voice of his only child, the young three-year old princess of Korea, Hyejin (though she's called Nia by most foreigners). He stood up and held his arms out as the cute little girl ran to him. He picked her up and twirled her around and her laughter filled the giant audience hall of the Gyeongbukgoong.

After a few spins, Keehyuk put the little girl down and she proceeded to run from column to column playing a spontaneous game of hide and seek. The two of them played for a bit while the Imperial Guardsmen lining the walls of the audience hall looked on showing the faintest bit of amusement at seeing the imperial family acting as themselves--just a regular family.

Having run a few laps around the audience chamber, the princess flopped down on the ground giggling.

    "Owwie."

Keehyuk squatted down in front of his daughter.

"Hyejin, be more careful. The floor is hard here."

"I knows Daddy but...I likes sitting on the floors."

Keehyuk laughed and ruffled his daughters hair a little. She looked up at him with a bit of a pout on her face. Suddenly her facial expression turned into a more of a quizzical type and she asked him:

"Daddy, daddy. You pwomised me we weregonna go see peoples, pretty castles, and stuffs in far away places."

    Keehyuk smiled.

    "We will darling, we will."

    "When daddy?"

Keehyuk thought about it for a second.

    "Why don't we leave tomorrow?"

    "Tomorrows? YAY!"

Hyejin's face turned into a smile so big--much bigger than what Keehyuk thought was possible.

"Go to your room and ask Miss Taeyeon to help you pack now."

Hyejin immediately got up and hugged her father before running off with shouts of joy and laughter toward her room. Keehyuk smiled at the sight. He had been so busy over the past few years that he only had had been able to spend a little time with his daughter. Every second of those times were so precious to him. After a few seconds, Keehyuk got up and beckoned for one of the guardsmen to come forward.

"Please inform the Minister of Foreign Affairs that we will be beginning a diplomatic tour of the world. See if there are any nations who can be prepared to receive us within the next day or so and see if there are any other nations willing to receive us afterward."

The guard saluted and hurried off. Keehyuk looked from where he was to where his throne was. It would be vacant for a few days but that was fine. He would be back.

==Public Communique to all Nations of the World==

To the Nations of the World:

Greetings from the Empire of Korea. Presently, the Emperor and his daughter--the Princess Hyejin "Nia"--are beginning a diplomatic tour of the world. During this tour, the Emperor has no agenda to push other than to visit national leaders and reassess the current Korean Diplomatic Policy all the while spending a bit of casual sightseeing time with the Princess.. The Princess, however, will be on a much more casual tour as she will simply be visiting the world for the first time. Therefore, we are seeking nations who are willing to invite the Imperial Family during their tour.

We thank you for your time and hope to see many nations willing to open up for this tour.

-Imperial Foreign Ministry, Empire of Korea

  12. The Empire of Korea, though usually secluded from international affairs, recognizes the honorable nature of the Hanseatic Commonwealth and pledge military and economic support in securing the former islands of Glorious Aotearoa.

Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight here at RSBN we have a special, special segment for you. For the first time ever, we have managed to obtain footage and imagery of the Imperial Guard training camps. As you all know, the Imperial Guard is the most prestigious unit of the Korean Armed Forces. But their training and personal lives are guarded as a state secret. RSBN has managed to obtain this footage and photography at great risk to our station and to the lives of our camera crews.

    kyueseon.jpg

Just like any part of the Korean Armed Forces, the Imperial Guard drill regularly in hand-to-hand combat and Tae-Kwon-Do. However, unlike the regular armed forces where a more basic training regimen is given, the Guards drill for hours on end and all guardsmen who have been on active duty (following their three year training period) is capable of sparring with some of the greatest Tae-Kwon-Do masters in the Empire.

    _42656149_sksoldiers_416300ap.jpg

A four man squad of Korean Imperial Guard trainees sparring.

    apsouthkoreawinterexercise.jpg

Like all units in the Korean Armed forces, the Guards perform cold weather training. The above photo is of first year trainees doing what older trainees and Guardsmen call "warm drills". The RSBN has obtained photographs of third year trainees and guardsmen during their cold weather training but cannot air it due to government laws against nudity.

    0702pod11.jpg

Aside from cold weather fitness, the Imperial Guard is required to maintain physical fitness at all times. The photo above is a common exercise amongst third year trainees to ensure that not only are they physically fit, but also balanced and able to use their entire being as a weapon.

    610x.jpg

Imperial Guardsmen performing regular punishment for being late to early morning drills (this group was late by under a minute). They are to march around their training complex fifty times carrying the heavy steel bridge support piece.

    20071122102046ENLUS0117960811957268.jpg

Of course, no modern army is complete without firearms training. All guardsmen are required to be able to shoot 100 targets in a row to the head at 600 meters.

These soldiers aren't all work and no play, though. Like anyone else, these soldiers enjoy good food, good company, good times, and good music.

that our sources recorded of Korean Imperial Guardsmen during their free time.

Put all of this together and you have Korea's finest soldiers--and perhaps some of the finest ever produced in the history of mankind. To the members of the Imperial Guard, we of Korea salute you! We thank you for your undying loyalty to your country and your unwavering dedication to protecting the peace of the Empire!
