Yes, private companies are allowed to run against Grunder Industries. Also, because it is state-run, the corporation cannot go bankrupt, as it's liabilities are answered by the gov't. It's workers also recieve partial medical benefits up to 35%.

We are pleased to announce the creation of a state-run corporation. Known as Grunder Industries, this companies purpose, is to explore, create and expand military and engineering technologies in the name of the Republic of Ustio. We wish this corporation the best of luck.

Today, we have several special announcements from the Republic of Ustio.
First, we are pleased to announce the completion of a new foreign embassy complex. This complex will serve as the headquarters for many diplomatic missions to Ustio.

"Our treaty was a particularly interesting one. It shall keep the trolls at bay and one good day serve to punch them in the face when they decide to attack us. How is the Land doing?"
Von Weber chuckled lightly with the joke Magnhild stated. "Yes, our treaty was very interesting, but they know that this will serve to point in the right direction. PREAMBLE:We the people, in order to establish closer ties and mutual defense in times of war, do ordain and establish this treaty between the Republic of Ustio, and the Greater Nordlandic Empire.
ARTICLE I: RECOGNITION AND SOVEREIGNTY
The signatories of this treaty shall recognize each others country as an ally and trading partner, and neither nation can may claim territory, oppress the people of the state, nor invade their respective countries. In addition, the citizens of one of the signatory countries, may travel to the other country and vice versa, without the need of traveling visas.
ARTICLE II: MUTUAL DEFENSE AND OPTIONAL AGGRESSION
In the event that either of the signatory nations has war being declared upon them, the other nation shall declare war on the aggressor. In the event that either nation declares war on an aggressor, they may have the option of whether or not to participate in the war. If either of the signatory nations are ever threatened, they must share that info with the other signatory state.
ARTICLE III: CANCELLATION OF TREATY
If either nation decides to cancel the treaty, the leaders of the state must know 96 hours before hand. Once it has been confirmed, the treaty will be declared null & void.

The thing is, my corporation is not designed for weapons production, it is actually designed for Weapon R&D. Ustio does not (and until we get a second corporation) will not produce it's weapons.
