He was out of your range in the afternoon. Then he decommed airplanes, which can make up 4k+ NS. Then he declared on you, then he rebought airplanes. Standard fare.
I don't know that he would have had time. I read the declaration message within at least 25 seconds of getting it. I suppose that's plausible though.

He probably didn't have tanks before declaring. I've decommissioned tanks and airplanes all the time to get down into range of someone during a war. Not a bug.

Its not that. He was out of my range in the afternoon. He declared before update. He failed to get his attacks in at update though, that's when I checked, for the fourth time, to make sure he was out of my range. Still no declare war icon on his nation page. I wish I'd taken a screen shot.

  3. If you see my charts here - http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display_charts.asp?Nation_ID=136504v
And the person who attacked me here - http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display_charts.asp?Nation_ID=148607

You'll notice that on November the first, when he attacked me, my strength was 93,394 and his was 125,141. I've checked the math a few times, and 75% of his strength is 93,855 and 133% of my strength is 124,214. Now, being the prudent man that I am, I checked his nation page several times to make sure I was out of range. As I suspected, there was no icon to declare war against him present, and he was not in peace mode when I checked.

So, I checked the details of declaring war, and I see that the range is 75% less to 133% more +/-250. So I check that too, and as it turns out, 93,855 (his minimum range) minus 93,394 (my NS) is 461, 200NS outside of the standard deviation. I realize this is small, but to me it has made quite the significant difference. After all, nobody wants to get attacked by someone who is 134% bigger, especially when common sense dictates preservation now, further slaughter later.

I mentioned this in my alliance private channel and I was told that it happened to someone else too. I don't have the details of that, but I'm hoping admin, blessed be his name, would find it so kind to look into this anomaly. I should hope, as I explained earlier, that if I do not have the option to attack them, then they should not have the option to attack me.

I am having a good laugh at the fact NSO has to use the "lol you lost sanction" line in order to feel high and mighty.

This war has only proved one thing so far that is new. Legion grew some balls and decided to use them, Kudos to them.

Some things have not changed so far along the lines of NSO getting all war hungry when the odds are on their side and Tetris being a bunch of idiots.
I'm pretty sure that for a war hungry alliance, NSO has never had the odds in their favor. Ever. Just ask anyone that's ever signed a treaty with them.

Well, for them to get over the conflict I believe this would be a necessary step in the right direction. NPO did get rid of them, indeed, as they seem like they are in the process of moving political spheres. At the same time they did hold on to them for many years, friends move on...

    Meat Shield =/= friends

And once again general membership pays for extremely stupid leadership. This DoW takes the cake for worse move of this war. Congrats on that I guess. CD membership would be wise to throw out it's current leadership. They failed you.
CD isn't a democracy. In any case, the membership mostly wanted war as well. Nobody has been failed here.

I am curious how two alliances can be at war with each other when neither alliance considers themselves to be in a state of war with the other.
The answer has been repeated here multiple times. Two alliances that do not recognize a state of war between each other are in a state of war with each other when one side makes their case with self-serving sophistry.

    :P

Like I said before, we can argue all we want, we can even be right, but nothing is going to change the minds of the unscrupulous majority. Just like with the old hegemony, they'll get theirs some day. All that matters now is that we can somewhat get them off your guys' backs.

We haven't abandoned any friends so I'm not sure what you're trying to say here.
You used to be an alliance who resisted, now you oppress. The alliance that resisted would say "friends before infra" and the alliance that oppresses would respond to that with "good, you'll be giving up lots of infra then".

  9. With terms, broken or not, there is nothing we can do to change the perceptions of MHA/Umbrella and co. who feel that we violated them. You guys are bigger and have more fire power, therefore you are automatically "right" in everything that you do. How hegemonish of you MK. And if we lose I fully expect surrender terms with reps of hegemonic proportions. Good job Hegemony. I have but one thing left to say to you: FRIENDS > INFRA

Can someone from CD honestly come out and tell me the answer to this question? I'd like to know just how AZTEC "made it seem" like the war was going to last weeks. That seems to be the main issue here.
No, it's actually far from the main issue. FAR FAR from the main issue. Like, way far, but people like you keep getting caught up in the idea that it somehow is. It's like you read the first sentence of a post and assume it doesn't go any further. The main issue has been reiterated by CD gov as well as the TC gov members present as well as our old and lovable friend, Auctor. I'll tell you now, Walker Texas Ranger is not CD gov and has been out of the loop for some time.
Seriously now, who told you and who knew exactly how long the war would last? I'm sick of hearing this line of argument, it's really beginning to piss me off. I wish someone would've told me how long the war would last, I'd have goaded more MHA members into attacking me.

No, you didn't have a second wave, you had your middle & top tier in peacemode for the NPO-DH front, so no that doesn't 'also explain why you kept a second wave in peacemode', every nation ranked in the top two thirds of your alliance does not constitute a second wave.

If WAPA knew that we'd all be peacing out less than a week after you entered, they'd have never asked you to enter in the first place. The situation is unfortunate but not exactly something that they could've known, so quit the bawwing all over the OWF, it's getting !@#$@#$ ridiculous now.
Mayzie, you know as well as I do that getting upset over this, in combination with you're frequent drinking, would be bad for your future ulcer, so just relax :P

CD came into this war because WAPA was the first of our allies to require our help. Gov made the logical assumption that it would be a long war, and told the membership to prepare for that. Of course, we were already in peace mode pending other plans, but that's all besides the point. However, I'd like to state for the record that before terms were posted here, CD only had 14 of it's 74 members in peace mode, 3 of which had rulers taking holiday in unknown lands.

The point is, as has been stated clearly time and time again, that when Bionic Redhead was first presented with the peace terms, it was pretty much all said and done. Just because someone is in the channel during the talks, doesn't mean they're paying attention to it. It's typically good coalition conduct to inform everyone of plans set, granted Cairna and BR should definitely have been following up on what was going on.

In any case, by the time BR was given the terms, he had no choice but to sign them. Had he been involved in the discussion, we should hope that our own interests could have perhaps been protected and therefore represented by this "white" peace. As a result of that not happening, we have to sit idly by while our allies, who still fight on, cannot expect us to lift a finger for fear of retribution by the largest alliances in the game.

And therein lies the problem. CD is locked between a rock and a hard place, and the real complaint is that AZTEC ultimately went over our heads in the process of ending this war. CD does not hate peace, it hates not being able to help its friends.
