    Though I see little discussion of this in this LONG thread, I will say that I have been friends with Von Droz for quite a while, and have never for a moment doubted his intelligence, sense of propriety or basic decency in any way at any time. He has, in fact, always been a productive and dedicated member of his alliance and a scrupulously honorable player. This small gaffe in the course of a rather convoluted story should be a mere footnote, not a 194-page long thread. It's summer, people, get outside and enjoy it.

    I remain baffled as to why people persist in posting private queries to pastebin and what compels supposedly disinterested third parties to put the fruits of their dumpster diving on public display.

    Truly charming.

    the Nueva Sangre Protectorate Bloc:[/center][/size][/b]

    [b]Preamble:[/b]
    In recognition of the potential of new and capable alliances to Planet Bob the undersigned agree to adhere to the following regulations.
    [b]
    Article I: Membership Levels[/b]
    The Nueva Sangre bloc will be divided into two (2) levels, the Protectors and the Protectorates. The definitions of these will be outlined below.
    Protectors: The Protectors are the members of the ‘AZTEC’ bloc tasked with assisting protectorates.
    Protectorates: The Protectorates are smaller alliances under the protection of the Nueva Sangre bloc.

    [b]Article II: Admittance[/b]
    Alliances can be added to the Nueva Sangre Protection bloc with unanimous consent from the Protectors. No later than seven (7) days after the initial application applicants will be informed of the result of their application. For an application to be considered at least one Protector must agree to discuss it.
    Protectorates will be reconsidered every month after initial acceptance, for membership to remain in effect at least three quarters of Protectors have to support continued membership.

    [b]Article III: Obligations of Protectorates[/b]
    Protectorates will be required to operate an active government and provide monthly reports to Nueva Sangre. In addition Protectorates are expected to participate in tech markets of the Protectors. Finally Protectorates are not allowed to participate in hostile activities against anyone in Nueva Sangre without prior authorization by all Protectors, the punishment on aggressive actions will be immediate removal from Nueva Sangre and potentially military action.

    [b]Article IV: Restrictions on Protectorates[/b]
    Protectorates will not be allowed to sign any treaty with mandatory military clauses, all other treaties have to receive approval from the Protectors. In addition Protectorates will not be allowed to attack any alliance without consent from the Protectors. Should this clause be violated the Protectorate will be subject to immediate removal from Nueva Sangre.
    [b]
    Article V: Mutual Defense[/b]
    Should one Protectorate fall under attack all other Protectorates are expected to assist their comrade by all means. Should a Protector come under attack Protectorates are recommended but not obliged to assist

    [b]Article VI: Obligations of Protectors[/b]
    Protectors will be obliged to assist Protectorates against military and diplomatic aggression, in additions Protectors will assist the Protectorates in setting up their alliance and assisting in growth. At the request of the Protectorate an advisor from the Protectors can be assigned.
    [b]
    Article VII: Disbandment[/b]
    Should a Protectorate disband its membership is encouraged to join one of the other Protectorates or Protectors.

    [b]Article VIII: Elevation to AZTEC[/b]
    Should a Protectorate grow to a point where it can stand on its own feet it is allowed and recommended to seek membership into AZTEC and become a Protector of AZTEC itself. Normal admission criteria for AZTEC will remain in effect should elevation be considered.

    [b]Article IX: Cancellation[/b]
    As noted above violation of the pact or failing to pass additional votes can result in immediate expulsion, should a Protectorate wish to leave themselves they should provide private notice to all other Nueva Sangre members. Upon transmission of the private notice the treaty will remain in effect for an additional seventy-two (72) hours.

    What's with all the hatin' on TGE here? When KFred left, it was a bad day for TGE, and the folks who are left behind are doing their best to keep things going, as he would wish. Maybe sometimes they do well, maybe not other times, but I believe very strongly that if people are actually trying to do something positive and productive, their efforts should be encouraged.     It was an unnecessary re-opening of an old wound, and a bad show altogether. Further, if Victoria actually [u]is[/u] that incompetent, what does that reflect upon the judgment of the one who placed her on the throne?

    Further, while it would be a commendable, and perhaps even useful, [b]internal[/b] exercise for any alliance in crisis to take stock of what caused what when, this public airing of dirty laundry seems like making excuses, nothing more or less.

    You know we love you, Hardenberg, but you make it so difficult sometimes.

    [b]Preamble[/b]

    The Republic of Aquisgrana and NUHyperForce (“the signatory alliances”) enter into this treaty in a spirit of friendship and cooperation. NUHyperForce and the Republic of Aquisgrana pledge to pursue a peaceful and prosperous future for both signatory alliances.

    [b]Sovereignty[/b]

    Both signatory alliances and shall retain complete sovereignty in matters internal and external. Neither signatory shall interfere in the affairs of the other for the duration of this treaty.

    [b]Non-Aggression[/b]

    The signatory alliances and their individual member nations are strictly prohibited from declaring war and/or committing acts of espionage on any member nation of the other signatory, aiding in any manner enemies of or providing intelligence to alliances or individual nations in a state of war with the other signatory.

    [b]Friendship[/b]

    The signatory alliances and their members pledge hereby to behave with the utmost tact and consideration in all interactions, and to make full use of proper diplomatic channels to address any issues at controversy. Any information gathered or come upon by either of the signatories with potential impact on the other shall be promptly provided through private channels.

    [b]Assistance[/b]

    Neither signatory alliance is bound to grant requests of military action or financial aid from the other. However, should such a request be made by one signatory, the other is encouraged to come to the aid of the requesting alliance. In addition, should one signatory find themselves in need of assistance, they are encouraged to request such support.

    [b]Withdrawal[/b]

    In the event that either signatory believes it has grounds to dissolve this treaty, notification of withdrawal must be given to the other signatory within seventy-two (72) hours. Both signatories are encouraged to communicate whatever issue they believe to be affecting the future of this pact, and only to cancel if they believe those cannot be bridged. Revocation of this treaty by either alliance will be followed by a twenty-four (24) hour grace period during which neither alliance may declare war on the other. Following the expiration of this grace period, all terms of the treaty are null and void.
