[size=3][font="'Times New Roman"]Gary Hanson: So, you are in charge of MediaCorp.First off, how did MediaCorp come into being?[/font][/size]
[size=3][font="'Times New Roman"]Charles Roa: MediaCorp came into being almost 15years ago, around the same time the Republic of York was formed. It was amerger between ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox to form a media conglomerate.[/font][/size]
[size=3][font="'Times New Roman"]Gary Hanson: How and why did that merger take place?[/font][/size]
[size=3][font="'Times New Roman"]Charles Roa: It took place in Manhattan. The fourCEO's of the companies decided it would be in their best interests, with theworld and the North American continent in such turmoil, to pool their resourcesto create one, single, media empire.[/font][/size]
[size=3][font="'Times New Roman"]Gary Hanson: How did the citizens of what was thenYork, react to the situation?[/font][/size]
[size=3][font="'Times New Roman"]Charles Roa: There was very little reaction to themerger, to be honest. For the most part, media continued on as usual, justunder a different brand. Prices were lowered because MediaCorp was able tostreamline all operations, so they were happy about that from what I could see.[/font][/size]
[size=3][font="'Times New Roman"]Gary Hanson: Over the years, how has MediaCorpchanged and evolved?[/font][/size]
[size=3][font="'Times New Roman"]Charles Roa: We've expanded, certainly. We're one ofthe largest companies of any type in the world, and also one of the richest. Wehave resources or subsidiaries in all matters of communications, from internetto cell phone to landline. And we're constantly building up our communicationsnetworks and internet service, looking to make things faster and moreconvenient for the consumer.[/font][/size]
[size=3][font="'Times New Roman"]Gary Hanson: How would you rate MediaCorp'sobjectivity, when compared to other companies of your caliber?[/font][/size]
[size=3][font="'Times New Roman"]Charles Roa: Objectivity in regards to what?[/font][/size]
[size=3][font="'Times New Roman"]Gary Hanson: Objectivity in regards to internationalnews.[/font][/size]
[size=3][font="'Times New Roman"]Charles Roa: I'd say we're just as objective, if notmoreso, than any other news organization. We have many different viewpointswithin our own organization that keeps viewpoints fresh and that keeps everyonethinking about different possibilities constantly.[/font][/size]

[size=3][font="'Times New Roman"]Charles Roa: I can only see more expansion, morewealth, and more open media access for all.[/font][/size]
