Indeed it would have nothing to do with wishing to remain green and having a completely neutral alliance protect us while we grew. For the record we're for green stability as much any anyone else and are looking forward to working with our green counterparts.

In part to the revolving door: Not entirely true or accurate, I'm on the outside on my own volition, and under good terms no less. This after almost 2 and a 1/2 years of service to the GGA. We did let members return to a degree in that we were weren't going to stop someone from coming back if they left in good standing and wished to rejoin the alliance a lot of the time at a reduced rank than when they left, however there was even a point where that was discontinued as well (we're talking repeat offenders). On useless wars: I won't make any attempt to hide that fact. The GGA did take part in several wars that could be deemed pointless. But again you have to remember than even I wasn't a Triumvir during the hyperion war. That normally wouldn't mean anything but in this instance i was the most senior member of the Triumvirate up until my resignation. So again we're back to pointing fingers and accusing a govt. that really had no involvement in past indiscretions. Did we apologize for them? No we did not. Did we feel responsible for actions that took place when most of the current upper govt. didn't even exist? No we certainly did not. I can understand looking at the GGA with some skepticism but it was mostly displaced and definitely held our reasoning for continuing down the path we were already being pushed down. What was an alliance to do when being challeneged the way the GGA has been over the last two plus years? Dumping our only allies would be suicide and keeping them was a PR nightmare. Thus the GGA is at where it's at. On Ridiculous PR: For reasons i won't go into here as i don't wish to point fingers after the fact i will only this, the source of bad PR can still be found within the GGA. However they seem to have a handle on that to which i say kudos to them. In a govt. system such as what they have, convoluted messages are the norm as nine times out of ten we as govt. members had no idea what the others were doing. None of the instances you bring up, i can take sole credit for, however no one within the ranks of the GGA could be deemed "the incompetent one" as we were all being fed different lines from people who "should" have had a handle on what they were talking about in the first place. If they truly have a handle on that and i suspect they do, than dirty laundry being aired in public would be a thing of the past for the GGA.

Also this is flaud, in the context of this game none of this current govt. could even tell you what the Viridiacide was about. Actually i don't think any of the past govt. over the last year and some would even have much recollection of that war. I was literally a 4 month old nation at the time. All the beef you have with the GGA should be directed at members who have either quit the game entirely or moved on to new alliances a long time ago.

In the interest of playing fair it was indeed a coup and an illegal one at that. Procedurally it was an utter failure an a PR nightmare both internally and externally. It was also a major kick in the balls that i hope you guys learn from. However yes you do speak the truth we were in the midst of change way before the karma war, we just happened to have all the bad aired on the OWF with none of the good. Such is life i guess.

Ah yes good point and i missed that as well. I also respect the NPO don't get me wrong. But don't use the "poor NPO" card on the GGA. We got our teeth kicked down our throat and it would seem the new govt. is attempting to right some of the past wrongs. I don't see the harm in that. Also yay for further stabilization of the Green Sphere.

Not that it matter's much since I'm no longer affiliated with the GGA, but we were one of the last alliances out, we surrendered to 14(ish) alliances and we managed to run through our entire bank. not to mention the number of nukes/anarchies/surrendered nations we received in the name of defending the NPO. Your "weak child" analogy kinda makes me happy the GGA did in fact sever ties with the NPO if that's how you view the contributions of your allies, and it only solidifies the rationale that (i assume) went into ending any working relationship with the NPO. (Since we're trading barbs.... who's entire alliance took their whooping's like a big boy out of peace mode including the banks? oh that's right not the NPO). Further a split from the NPO was inevitable as both sides had grown tired of the other's shenanigans, I'm not sure where you got your information from but the break was more than mutual on both sides of that fence. There's way more to that whole story than meets the eye. But alas that's another story for another time.

New Triumvirate This announcement is never easy, but in the interest of having a new and open govt. I will make the following announcement. Scotchwithrocks, and Kungfuhamster, have been relieved of their duties as Triumvirate of the GGA. This decision was made after taking into consideration the actions of these two triumvirs over the last little while. I will not delve into what lead up to these decisions as i don't personally think its fair to lamb baste them in public. Both of them have been offered the position of Elder Statesmen and the offer will not be rescinded until they have made their decisions. Should they decide they wish to leave, we wish them well and hold no ill feelings towards them. Now onto happy times, with the opening of Two triumvirate positions i would like to welcome firstly Descepter as the newest Triumvirate, She will no doubt do great things as Triumvirate as she has already proven herself capable in the other positions she's held. Secondly as strange as this sounds i welcome back into the fold one Mr. Shaneprice. Shane has gone above and beyond to right the wrongs and has held a very pro GGA mindset in the process. I feel this is a long time overdue, welcome back shane. With these moves in mind, we hope to continue moving forward, away from the past that's led us to this present position. Progressively making head way. The Alliance has never had a brighter future in my mind, and i can assure you there will be more announcements in the coming days. The GGA is still has a treaty with the NPO as well. Two actually we rescinded our original cancellation to them i believe as well as through OV.

True but keep in mind, That treaty was written with input from VE and if im remember correctly iFOK was even present at that point as well as ourselves. The fact that VE and GGA worked to push green unity alone should be a huge indicator of what we are now, compared to what we were than. Ironchef possibly served during some of those terms but shane was a triumvirate after i became one he's pretty much in the same boat as myself. Thats aside the point though as most leaders in this game have done unsavory things at one time or another. As far as the FAN war goes, i was just a little guy at that point with no govt. connection what so ever, back than i just did what i was told. I wouldn't even know why we went to war with FAN had it not been for CNwiki. We don't control green nor would we attempt to keep people off the sphere, the ones that have left, have left before my time with the exception of GUN and i do believe we offered them a spot in the UJA before they left as well though i can't remember. The vocal membership is still within the rank, apart from being vocal on the OWF though they have no say or intention to run the govt. Theres nothing wrong with being proud of where you come from though as they are definitely not the only people on the OWF that blindly attack people attacking their home. Every alliance is guilty of having those members if you can even call it "being guilty". You are mistaken, we've made or attempted to make amends on several fronts, we've distanced ourselves from the Bilrow era, going as far as to stunt our growth by moving to new forums and transfering ownership of our roster systems amongst other things. We have allowed FAN and Vox to go in peace, and we haven't had a part in any war since i became triumvir aside from this one. As i said before this could go on forever, so i'll just say this. We know who we are, The alliances that have had to deal with us over the course of the last several months know who we are and really in the end that's all thats going to matter. Your justified in holding grudges i guess, but than as i also said you're no better than what you've grown to hate.

It means don't go rogue and sanction a bunch of green nations on a whim, basically. That goes for both VE and GGA as well. If someone can't handle that the action we would most likely take is voting the offender out of senate. The evil of it all i know. I think that's what your referring to. the work of the advisors really falls on sognatore, ironchef and shaneprice as they are the active elders, anyone with any credibility (not looking to start a fight) would be more than aware of who our active elders are. Even Vox knew which elders were the ones who were around. I am aware our charter states they are advisors even if they're inactive, but i can assure you their silence as well as their general not being around do hinder going forward with any of their secret agendas. Bottom line they did retire in good standing and they were appointed their rightful position within the alliance. As far as the same membership, again not true, our membership has changed dramatically over the last three years, my time alone in the GGA i can say there's a fraction of who there used to be. Just as any other alliance. I myself have never "punished" an alliancefor crimes not made by their current govt. neither have KungFuHamster or Scotchwithrocks. Actually we've never punished anyone at all. You have yet to show just cause for attacking this current govt. with any evidence of our wrong doing. Not that im expecting you to, if it's your desire to hate us, you're going to regardless.

Thats a pretty weak argument at best. Emperor Lester for instance i have met a handful of times, always very short and i don't remember the last time he was actually on IRC. beareroftruth is in the same boat. They are rightfully in their place as elders (retired govt.) neither of whom partake in any decision making. All votes, and decisions are made by KungFuHamster, Scotchwithrocks, and myself. Holding us accountable because of a technicality within our signatures is a bit near sighted.

You are mistaken iFOK comes to mind, They still have a representative in our UJA channel, and are allowed to speak freely (they were even in there while we were at war with them). The UJA contains a NAP and admission is easy to obtain. Most importantly as in iFOK's case and they can tell you this themselves the UJA doesn't make them conform to anything even though they aren't a signatory. The current UJA even has a joint protectorate agreement in it to help foster growth for new green alliances. No one is forced into conforming to it, if they don't agree than so be it. The UJA isn't about making people on the green sphere like each other, it's about promoting growth and bringing trades into the sphere as well as maintaining the peace. Its about the least war mongering treaty out there, NPO declares on OV, VE declares in support of OV, GGA declares on the side of the NPO against Athens, iFOK declares in defense of athens. What the UJA did through that was exactly what it was supposed to do. At no time did VE, GGA or OV threaten to sanction wildly, at no time did anyone threaten to pull out their members from trade circles with people on the "other side" and at no time did anyone threaten the position of other signatories and their status within the UJA. Bottom line the UJA allowed us to be neutral towards each other for the sake of our sphere. Whats wrong with that?

Sounds a bit hegemonic You guys continue to impress the hell outta me, I'm sure thesame can be said for the rest of my govt. It's been a good long while since we controlled the green senate. Even during this war we remained respectful of both OV and VE and even to our hippie tree planting friends GPA () I know they could back up that statement. To be fair reading from page 10 to here I've seen a lot of "GGA forced alliances off green and asked for stupid reps in the past damn them all!" As the eldest serving Triumvir this is my first war (14-1 i knew i had that gunboat for a reason), None of the current Triumvirate have: - Signed anything but treaty upgrades (the only one that actually comes to mind is MDAP with valhalla) - This Govt. has never participated in extortion. - This Govt. has never wanted anything but unity on the Green sphere both for the good of the senate and for the free trading. - This govt.'s only real claim to bad PR was due entirely to our inexperience and having a lot of our internal dirty laundry aired for the masses. A lot of you label us as if we've been the same govt. for the past four years. Not only are we not, but we have taken proactive steps in removing ourselves from that position for months. Somehow it's either not enough or it falls on deaf ears. In that sense though your no better than what you've hated. This incarnation of the GGA govt. is the same as before this war, only we've learned some valuable lessons and we're not as in experienced as we were three, four, six, eight months ago. You can continue to troll us for the sake of trolling us, but guys like Athens who've actually dealt with our govt. and know what the hell they're talking about shouldn't be getting flak for treating us with some dignity. As i said before we're not the same govt. from three years ago.
