The Confederacy of Independent States was an alliance founded on November 12th, 2006 by Kasmage and Zocane. The alliance later merged with IMU to form The Confederacy of Imperial States and eventually disbanded. On May 25th, 2009, The Confederacy of Independent States was reformed by its original founders, Kasmage (now Sir Parry) and Zocane. The declaration of rebirth can be found here. How many times to Derek and I have to tell you that he founded the god dang alliance. If cutting and running means being told to step down by the future leaders who would run CIS into the ground, then yes, you are correct in saying that.

I'd say he's pretty worthy with the amount of support he's receiving from his former alliance mates and foreigners alike. Well now it's just our word against yours. Until you present another solid argument, I'm done here. EDIT: I'm actually not done yet.

I completely agree. From firsthand experience, Halsa was a great community to be a part of. A community founded by Kasmage. So being an admirer of someone now means that you worship them? If that is the case, I might have to reconsider my religion.

It's not hero worship. I see the facts, and I see success. Under Kas's leadership, he got CIS extremely close to being sanctioned, which was far closer than the Confederacy of Imperial States ever got. That's quite an accomplishment for anyone. Not to mention he founded the alliance. I'll continue to use my same arguing point. All those things that contributed to CIS's disbandment were not under Kas's leadership, but under QS's and Spak's. Kas never wanted to disband CIS. All he did was propose a merge with VE, which seems to be a cardinal sin in your book. CIS under Kas was far above average. I repeat myself, they were very close to being sanctioned under his leadership. These are the facts.

The merge is in complete contradiction with all of you Kas-haters bashing him for proposing a merge with VE. You got mad at him for proposing a merge, and then, what do Spak and QS do? Merge. There was widespread criticism for CIS's CB for the FPI War, it did hurt them quite a bit. I'm not going to sit here and argue would have's and if's with you. Once again, CIS did fall apart and disband under QS's and Spak's leadership. Yeah, some relief. After he stepped down, you merged and were forced to disband.

No, Confederacy of Imperial States was run into the ground because of the FPI War and the fact that CIS merged with IMU in the first place. The facts remain that CIS disbanded and was going to be crushed by NPO under Spak and QS's leadership, which, I will add, was attained by asking Kas to step down. CIS died under their leadership.

@Merrie Melodies: If you are unwilling to recognize the difference between the original CIS and the imperial CIS, then your opinions mean nothing to me.

The CIS that was totaled by NPO was the Confederacy of Imperial States. They were under different leadership than this alliance, and they are responsible for that alliance's downfall. This is the Confederacy of Independent States, founded by the original founders of the original CIS.

When CIS was wiped out "way back when", they were under different leadership. The new CIS is under the original leadership, both of its founders. You all keep bashing Kas for talking of merging into VE, saying he "crumbled under pressure". The second CIS was the product of a merge and "crumbled under pressure" when they heard NPO was going to attack them, and they promptly disbanded.

If my statement is true, then it's not any Karma alliance's job to speak up against these actions, nor would it make anything better if they did. Only the alliances involved, TPF, PC, and California, have an obligation to settle this issue. The rest is just commentary. Take note that I do not think this was a good move on PC's part (despite the above statement), but then again, I have no knowledge of PC's raiding policies.
