  2. and so with great ado I return to the stage which helps keep PAIN at the top. PAIN is currently undergoing elections and I will be very glad to announce the results shortly.

Thank you everyone who has applied, I am still reviewing several of the requests to join, to try and find the right three to finish this trade set up, though there are enough other applicants that I will most likely try to set up two more trade circles and include everybody that didn't get into this one...

  5. Technology never expires, it may not be resellable but it never expires. Hell, how long has the wheel been used? did the wheel expire? no it was improved, and the improved wheel costs more to develop, but the knowledge you gain from that R&D never goes away. the way I see it when a lower NS nation sells to a higher NS nation it plays out like this. Higher NS nations outsources its R&D to the lower NS nation where it can R&D for a fraction of the cost in its host nation, in return for using the nation the lower NS nation gets a kick back. in essence, the higher NS nation sends its highly trained and knowledgeable scientists to the lower NS nation where they can do their work for fractions of the costs it would take to do it in their native country. They do their R&D there in the lower NS nation, and take the findings back to their native nation, for cooperating with this venture the higher NS nation gives the lower NS nation a kick back (ie: profit). This to me works perfectly with what is going on now in RL... and so it should be in CN, as while the tech is being developed, the nations shows itself as having 50 tech more than it actually has, and then the scientists leave with the findings, and bring it to their native country, leaving the Lower NS nation back where it was tech wise and the higher NS nation 50 tech higher than before. The system repeats itself when the lower NS nation becomes a higher NS nation... I'm sorry as for MMORPGs, this level of consistent and inflatable natural economy in the game is completely perfect, without it, the game would be worthless.
  6. right now I am completely for this change, even though it detriments my nation as I like a bit of believability in RP, especially when RP'ing RL... Though I do agree whole heartedly that there should be improvements that increase your environmental score. Hell, in RL right now there are several nations now with a specific division of government that deal with nothing but the environment and how it affects us and how to keep it at a respective level.

  9. Speaking from the bottom of the barrel nations, I lost only 16 citizens, and that is just a normal flux for me and being so low on the totem pole NS wise. I really like this change as it now means 1 more strategy and interest put into each nation and each decision you have to make with nation regarding trades, tech ratios, and whether or not you support the use of Nukes in game... 100% expect a great increase in the Nuke=bad population here on cybernations edit: after buying 40 miles of land giving me a 18.05 pop density my pop rose to 40 over where I was before... seems to me that this change was made and affects our nations like RL nations would be affected. My lush small environmentally friendly nation attracts more people, while the larger smog filled environmentally unfriendly nations attract less and even go so far as to drive some off... I vote in favor of this change.
  10. If you can find a Marble/lumber or Marble/Iron trade we can finish this trade circle up and you are definitely in... I ran out of messages I could send today (sent the max 200 messages) and I'm just waiting on replies... if not it'll most likely be another 48hrs still till I can get the right combo for the TC and get it started, do to the fact that I still have yet to find a marble trade and that trade will most likely get first priority over the other volunteers.

  17. You are completely welcome to stay on the purple team until the circle is complete... I can send you a PM when you are needed to switch teams... Right now it is orange because the trade circle is posted on 4 other orange team trade boards, so the majority will be orange... if that is not the case we can discuss team color...
