  1. There are a lot of great personalities out there but I'd say 99% of them went inactive years ago.

To be honest, I am not the greatest spokesman for RIA, I don't have Delta1212's debate skills or irresistible reasonableness, I don't have Shadow's implacable cool or writing skills, Moth's ironic wit or llamavore's gift for humor.  Sadly for all of you folks, they can't be bothered anymore, so you have to put up with me.

The giants of OWF are largely all gone, we lesser men struggle on as best we can.

    I miss ardus.
  2. Yes yes honor

    In fairness:

First of all PT was probably one of the best things that happened to misfits. At least empirically speaking, you all have faired and done significantly better post PT than prior- your strategy has adapted to counter the potency of the tactics applied against you. You should be thanking me.

Second of all I would contend that we fought rather valiantly against you for the better part of the round in which Planet Tokyo existed. TE is full of stifling conventions and just because it is often predictable does not mean that it ought to be or has to be. The conventional approach to TE is min/maxed to best suit those who stand the greatest chance to 'win', its the will of those AA's most suited to excel that maintains those conventions. I see no reason why you should cling to them, or hold animosity towards anyone who sought to challenge them.
  3. What I'm saying is even without some formal structured system of resurrection you can simply refuse to acknowledge the action, or provide roger rabbitesque evasions to the point where its essentially impossible to actually eliminate your character. If anything the proposal weakens the existing protections by entrenching the idea that its even practically possible to kill a character.

  4. Alexander arrived a few days prior to the gathering to both enjoy and take in the scenic beauty of the historic city- as well as to conduct some business. Trade between his country and the Athenians had never been greater, and there were more than a few commercial calls he intended to take having been enlisted by his industry to negotiate specific accounts on their behalf. A shrewd purveyor of systems he looked to business as he did his research, another domain with its own mechanics, but which was nonetheless defined in its operations. Top on his list was the continued leg work involved in eventually negotiating a port on the adriatic - mediterranean commerce seeming both far more secure as well as well as potentially lucrative for its proximity to the suez. The sun set outside as he poured over the work to be done, so few hours in the day, so much work.

  5. To me it seems like there's really too much ambiguity to even pin down a leader with certainty. If you bomb the capital, whose to say my leader is even there, or in the country at all? When I do RP, I frequently Rp my leading characters in multiple concurrent locations so as to have several lines or story going on at once. While, I see the concern, and I know character hunting has gone on, I've also seen people use the abundance of wiggle room to slip out of whatever was thrown at them. So idk if this is actually an issue that demands a rule change.

  6. Hello! I wanted to know, what are the valid reasons for declaring war? Should you only declare war for a good reason (another nation is spying on you, etc.) or are you allowed to declare war and attack for any reason (to test your military, to gain money and land, etc.)?

Hit goons, they're too immoral to be left alone.

You can offer loans they can't repay, if you're happy to wait for a CB so you don't take the stability/AE penalty when declaring.
