  1. One hundred thousand soldiers have been withdrawn from Administrative Zone Two, (fifty thousand remain) and have been re-deployed to madagascar to secure our holdings and ensure the new Viceroyalty is successfully installed. Andrew Olney has been appointed viceroy of the region and has been sent to the new capital of New Sion (Antananarivo).

  2. Actually, what bugged me about some of your claims was the whole 'fusion' thing. If I remember the tech scale correctly, you're modern day and there's no nation today that relies primarily on fusion - nuclear, certainly, but it makes little sense for you considering you're sitting on top of the world's biggest oil reserve.

The massive body of water comment was more pointed at the whole Caribbean issue.

That's fair, triyun and I had a long conversation about this. Essentially the argument was that almost every major nation has a well funded fusion project and that the theoretical knowledge is there to at the very least present the possibility that the world could have an extremely inefficient but workable reactor in place. The only thing holding it back at that point would be market share. Furthermore we only take a significant portion of our energy from fusion the majority really comes from a series of solar arrays positioned in the deserts which are quite prevalent and present a good environment to construct such a structure as there is little cloud cover. Moreover in regards to the oil wealth of the middle east the decision to not use the oil domestically relies primarily on the fact that investing in sustainable long term options while we have the money is a better decision than shortsightedly burning through our present resources. Not to mention doing this allows us to export 98% (our military still uses fossil fuels) of our product bringing more wealth into the nation. Finally I don't really see the problem with this as it really has no strategic effect on the game and really is just something cool. It would be like me RPing a massive farming project, or the commissioning of a monument its just there to create a nice story. I don't intend to RP anything terribly technologically advanced when it comes to strategic technology like impenetrable shields, ray guns, death stars, as I understand how that would effect the other players.

  3. Rampant imperialistic moves, unfeasible claims of control over massive bodies of water and some questionable technological achievements... all the things that bugged me about CNRP are still here in CNRP-R. *sigh*

Actually I posted a clarification on what you are referring to. I never claimed the ocean I was just saying that I would be enforcing my laws upon it in a passive manner. This was mostly a justification to take madagascar as it would give me two ports on opposite sides of the Indian ocean. And to be honest I think these are all positive elements of the game, it is keeping things fluid and dynamic. A game where nations claim land form a UN to keep everyone in place and then sit and tell stories about how their nations are like any nation that exists in the world today would be a horribly boring and dismal game. When there was still unclaimed and legally unrecognized portions of the world the powers of the time practiced blatant imperialism, nations enforced their laws on the ocean, and persued politics reflecting the IR theory of Realism. I don't see what makes this at all unrealistic.

The Imperium has positioned one of its nuclear class submarines off the coast of its second administrative zone in Indonesia and placed it on alert. The submarine is armed with twenty of its new Devastator Missiles. These are MIRV capable ICBM's loaded with conventional warheads rather than nuclear ones. Should an invasion of the New Ming Empire be needed this submarine could target and cripple the nation's defenses and ease the invasion.

  5. What law and by whos authority have these people broken by carrying out their right to revolution?

The law that the collective power of the parties involved in the matter have imposed. The People have no right to revolution as long as a greater force exists to counter and suppress it. Rights and legal truth are the product of power and its application not unjustified metaphysics.

Moreover the Imperium would also like to point out the lack of tact which America has demonstrated by insulting the intellectual capability of the Imperium. Rather than attack the argument put forth you have merely resorted to personal attacks. We thank you however for implicitly confirming its truth by conceding the point.

  6. The Imperium does not recognize the legitimacy of the new government which has replaced the former dynasty. Its assertion of power was an illegal seizure of authority violating the sovereignty of a legally recognized government. Moreover the inexperience, and the nature of those who have seized power leads us to believe that the new regime will be incompetent and not serve the best interests of the society it now is responsible for. The catalyst for this take over was a natural disaster and an unfortunate one, yet not the fault of the original administration, moreover this take over was by a single student group who opportunistically took advantage of the misery of others to meet a personal political end. That said this take over is unjustified and does not reflect the true un-coerced will of the general population; therefore we do not recognize it. Being a nation with territory in the east we believe we have a stake in the affairs of Asia; that said we align ourselves with the interests of the USC should they find it necessary to take further action on the matter they have our complete support.

    Elsewhere

The Imperium will be deploying 200,000 soldiers to the neutral territory of Xinjiang as part of a training exercise with the USC.

  7. We ask where you get these definitions and what dictionary you are using. I can find plenty of states in which there is no ruling "class", but simply a body of officials which act as rulers. A state which used "violence and coercion" would not find itself to be a state very long. The ruling body would be overthrown and a new one set up. The use of "violence and coercion" would cause the exact opposite of a state. Please, when you figure out that you are now in the 21st century and that you are not the only ones in the world with an opinion, try contacting us again.

OOC: Technically he is on par with Marxist ideology and epistemology which rejects western conceptions of the state as tools of the capitalist class or the powerful in a nation to dominate the proletariat. His idea is that the proletariat elects and thereby controls the nation. What you describe is an idealistic conception of western attempts at democracy he rejects this as its fundamental system of capitalism always creates a ruling class which dominates the nation's wealth and people. Of course his country would by the west still be called state, though within his own framework its not as it is not existing to coerce or control the workers but rather only exists as an extension of them. Moreover you can't expect them to speak in western terms for to so and continue to describe their own critique of it would be impossible. In the same way you shouldn't argue with him for to describe western society in the way in which you wish to would further be just as impossible. Im not a communist lol but I have studied communist and postmodernist philosophy.

  8. OOC: Just to clarify this is CNRPR

Internal Memo Circulated within Imperium Intelligence Interests

    START

As we saw with the Indonesian affair it seems consultants un-associated with the Imperium along with unofficial Imperium controlled mercenary forces have been injected into the region of Sudan. Again we are seeing billions being pumped into the region and flowing to specific political entities which seem to have a leftist mindset and advocacy. Militia activity is up twenty percent in the last few days. Moreover state propaganda sources in the Imperium have begun to circulate information which suggests that commieintern is an eminent threat and danger in the east as well as in Africa. We are at this point uncertain of what is truly going on and can only continue to observe. The timing along with the actions of the USC suggests a number of possibilities. It is possible the Imperium is initiating a proxy war to halt USC intervention in Africa, or simply creating a false enemy to aid and justify the movements of the USC. More information should become available as time progresses.

  9. Due to some misconceptions about this allow me to clairfy. The Imperium is in no way claiming an ocean, we are in our own courts considering the currently international waters to be those of the Imperium so that we may enforce our laws on them. Waters occupied by India or any other nation are their own, as well as their own right to enforce their own laws on the Indian ocean as well. All we are saying is we reserve the right to halt criminal activities and try the criminals under our own laws. The Imperium is essentially doing exactly what the USC said, reserving the right to impose our nation's power onto criminals in international waters. We apologize for the misunderstanding.

OOC: Just spicing things up :P.

  10. Ladies and gentlemen we come to you today a bit saddened by the extreme situation before us. Our nation’s intelligence service has finally been able to explain the attacks upon our offshore rigs in the java trench, and the large tankers full of deuterium moving back to the Imperium; and that is that a large band of pirate forces have begun to raid these resources. Traditionally there has been a natural deterrent to this as only registered deuterium supplied by a lisceneced provider would be required in most fusion reactor licensing contracts. However this has begun to change as several nations have altered their contracts to allow the use of any deuterium as these contracts did essentially block its artificial though more inefficient production. To quell these acts of piracy we have doing two things. The first is to in a legal sense declare supremacy over the whole of the Indian ocean what we will now refer to in the Imperium as “Imperial Waters”. While this sounds extreme it really isn’t. All this doctrine says is that Imperial law is enforceable there. No international traffic will be kept out, impeded, or have our laws imposed upon it. Only criminals such as the pirates raiding our ships. These individuals are too small to officially declare war on, but are too detrimental for us to ignore any longer. Moreover to get a more commanding presence over the waters a second port overseas is required. We will be moving into and claiming Madagascar as a viceroyalty.

OOC: I just wanted to say all these claims are only protectorates, I fully intend to divide them up and give them away once the map starts getting crowded. This is also the last of theses sort of claims Intend to make.

  11. The Imperium welcomes its new neighbor in the region, Viceroy Kaine has been sent to the Capital to meet the new leaders. The Imperium would also like to offer the use of some of its force stationed in the Imperium Viceroyalty to help quell the violence as well as maintain order until the new regime gets on its feet.

  12. Application

    Nation Name: Republic Of Indonesia

    Nation Capital: Jakarta

    Government Type: Democracy

Areas wanted: Rest Of Indonesia and Timor

Ethnicities: (does not have to be equal to the ones in the area IRL) Indonesian

    Link to nation: http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_d...ation_ID=289634

I already requested that this be earmarked for a friend who is applying today; I have also already started RPing this into the game. Unless a GM would like to say otherwise please choose a different territory.

  13. The Imperium would like to announce that it is hosting a military parade in honor of this great victory and would like to invite its allies and interested parties to attend. Our cities are domed and environment sealed so there is no need to dress for the cold of our nuclear winter.

Memo sent to the office of the Imperial Regent by the head of the Solex Office of Security, James Patterson.

    START

As ordered forces have been assassinating local leaders who appear to be resisting the new Conglomerate, or refuse to join it. Moreover said assassinations have been masked to appear to be nothing more than local instability. To help in stabilizing control over your own viceroyalty a false warlord has been created propaganda has been employed to unify the people in the new Viceroyalty against anti-Imperium sentiment. Moreover SOS forces are continuing to terrorize areas external of the AZ2 (administrative zone two) this will prime the locals for the new government led by local officials. As ordered most of these are hyperbolized and spread using local means of information exchange. In most cases these are actually acts of terror on buildings we ourselves built, are abandoned, or are unoccupied. Expect the new government to be in place within the following weeks.

  15. I'd like to request that the rest of Indonesia as well as the small islands not current claimed east of it be earmarked for a friend who intends to sign up tomarrow. I only ask as I have already started RPing him into the game. :/

Insurgency and Revolution- Especially in colonized areas, do we want to have this be an option for new players, or for players who support national liberation ideologies to be able to back. Perhaps a counter to colonial armies if done in reason.

I am also a bit worried about this. I think the colonized areas ought to work like protectorates. (We can call them whatever we like). Once land runs out a nation that wants to join can request to claim on a piece of a colony and the nation would then work out the deal and let it happen. I don't like the idea of allowing anyone to just do that though without consulting the original nation first. I also don't really feel comfortable with the actual claims of a nation being open to revolution without prior agreement. Moreover I wouldn't really want such a thing to start going into effect until after most if not all of the land on the map has been claimed.

Internal Memo circulated around Imperium banking interests.

    START

It appears the Imperial Government has begun to finance clouted individuals and groups in the island chains south of their vicroyalty in south east Asia. Several billion in credits have been funneled through a series of dummy corporations; what is particularly interesting is that all this money seems to be stemming from the heavily subsidized multinational energy firm Solex. A series of consultants and advisers publicly not associated with the imperium appear to be active in the region; their exact purposes are unknown, however we do know they are on the payroll of Great House Kaine. Moreover Solex Office of Security personal appear to be running operations in areas of Indonesia not under the Viceroyalty's control. This will be particularly interesting to continue to watch.

    /END

OOC: No further Imperialism is planned in the region; I am just Rping a friend into the game.
