    Incorrect. There is only power. The strong have it, and the weak must simply endure until they grow strong. It is the constant struggle that shows the strong and forges heats of iron.

    If the weak fall, it is only right, as the weak should not defeat the strong, because if that appears to happen, the weak had hidden strength, the the strong had a weak core.

    This actually is reflective of Imperium conceptions of the world. Such a statement can be found in our own nation's founding articles.

    As time has progressed humanity has itself become detached from things once thought certain. Absolutism the moral ideology of the past which dictated a set of norms that were inherently, and eternally true has given way to relativism. A system which dynamically adjusts itself, and dictates a set of norms based upon the coercive ability of certain notions of “form” to themselves be imposed upon others. Therefore it comes as no surprise that power no longer is decided by authority but rather authority is decided by power, there can be no illegitimate power without another power declaring itself legitimate and a committing the converse upon the other. Thus the only legitimate government is that which is capable of imposing itself upon its subjects. Thus the only true state is that which has the power to decide upon the norm.

    OOC: You make fair points, though I don't think the IG limitations actually apply to cruise missiles and bombs as they are so readily used in RL that it would be ridiculous to apply them. I mean 50 cruise missile would be in a total war completely inadequate. Not to mention you are not really limited by the game anyway as you can just re-buy used weaponry. Moreover such weaponry is really only meant to be applied once or twice in a war as after the initial advantage of surprise is lost there is no longer a reason to use them. Why use special ICBM's and stealth warheads when the enemy already is aware of what I am doing; I might as well just bomb them conventionally as it is more cost effective. Additionally to compensate for the extreme cost I myself intended to not use this weaponry excessively or at least wait a while as the submarines would need to be rearmed. However considering my infa level I think I am within the range to at least apply this technology once or twice within a reasonable period of time.

    Not to complain but usually people just write; "X country fired multiple salvo's of long range cruise missiles at strategic targets within Y country." It seems as though when you actually take the time to rp it out and specify then people start criticizing even though both have the same relative effect. Also apologies Sovyet Gelibolu I should have been more clear; I was afraid someone might see the words warhead and nuclear in the same paragraph and think I had done something insane :P.

    OOC: They are not nukes, we are just talking about conventional explosive nothing more than a bomb a few rockets for guidance and a computer chip. The United states is presently using technology that can lift ten full scale nuclear warheads each with the capacity to at the very least destroy a large portion of a city. I think its fairly reasonable that fifty or why not twenty conventional explosive warheads could be lifted with a bit of tinkering. They would be less complex than an actual nuclear warhead allowing them to be more compact. Additionally we are talking about present day so if the soviets could produce ICBM's capable of lifting 20 warheads of nuclear capacity I think today the technology would be significantly improved. Finally its basically just another way to describe a bunch of smart bombs or cruise missiles. I don't seeing it really being that much of a balance issue as those are already essentially limitless.

    The Bolshevik Federation does not agree with this statement. All nations, regardless of size or strength should be allowed to follow their own path of development. The strong require responsibility and obligation to lead the world on a prosperous path, jsut as the weak require guidence, friendship, and help to better contribute to the ideal goals of the strong.

    Didn't you say there is no international law or true universal rights? Your own ideology justifies truth with the force imposed by the masses of a nation, so in reality this is true. Might is always right as might defines the nature of rightness.

    OOC: You don't have to declare standard defensive structures. You are RPing based on your in game nation. Since you have not declared any special alternative systems or additional structures we just RPed against what we assume you have. If you wish to RP that you had none of these then that's fine though I don't see how that helps you. Unless a GM strikes our attacks from the record they are still in existence and if you choose to not recognize them you will lose by default.

    Also, you should have seen my original draft of my attacks on your nation :P; it took total war to a new level.

    IC: We wish to shield Asia from the hegemony of foreign powers and promote a local regional concert of influential bodies. The Imperium does not have a problem with your beliefs we have a problem with your complicity with Commintern. If the three of you wish to wholly denounce the Communist International and all allegiances to it as well as join us in promoting a regionally directed Asia then that is fine. The truth is we are concerned how powerful the Communist International has become and can no longer stand by while they surround us and position themselves to take action against us. Our only aim here is to push them out of the east. What they do in the western hemisphere is there business.

    As for why we have skipped diplomacy; you all denounce our legal legitimacy and the binding nature of international contract; diplomacy is a meaningless joke; and our only option remaining is to simply push you all from the region. Once you all are gone we will help rebuild the nations your governments leave behind.

    Consolidation of Forces & Defenses on alert

    The forces stationed in western china, were moved since the original backing of the USC; three hundred thousand Imperium soldiers along with 3000 tanks now are stationed in the Imperial Republic awaiting orders. Imperial republic forces have already been placed on alert and are awaiting the commands from their own nation to act. Forces in the Imperium have also been placed on alert and re-allocated around the whole of the nation to best defend should an invasion occur. A nuclear class submarine sits in the Persian gulf essentially the center of the nation onboard are ten omega class devastator missiles; should an invasion occur Osiris will pick up the activity and the missiles each armed with many MIRV conventional warheads will be strategically deployed to destroy the invasion force. Special silos within the Imperium holding these missiles are also on alert and ready to launch. Rail gun emplacements on the coast lines as well as the strategic islands have been placed on alert and are ready to repel enemy naval invasions. Coordination with Osiris will allow these guns to pre-emptively strike enemy forces before they become visible from the surface. The air defense grid has also been placed on alert and is ready to combat air forces a portion of the Imperial Air Force has also been scrambled to help reinforce the grid. The nations SDI has also been placed on alert should the war regress to a nuclear holocaust. A large porition of the navy has also been moved to the pacific theater to assist the USC in the naval destruction of commintern

    Missile Strikes

    Two of the nuclear class submarines sitting off the coast of Sumatra launch ten of their Devastator Missiles. Each ICBM climbs into the upper atmosphere until It reaches low orbit. At that point each rocket shatters deploying fifty compacted MIRV warheads each containing conventional explosive. Coordinates chosen by Osiris are beamed to each of the war heads which begin to fire their retro-rockets adjusting speed and direction to the trajectory paths selected for them. The one thousand warheads too numerous to be intercepted, and too small to be detected as their radar signature is too small and they are firing no active rockets the nation of Mongol Sweeden will be completely surprised. (OOC: a list of targets is included below, as to not god mode I didn’t RP them striking).

    Oligy; Altay; Bayonhongor; Ulan Bator; Korla; Urumqi; Burgin; Kashi; and other key population centers (OOC: you don’t have a fact book so I had trouble specifying which additional cities I am hitting)

    Multiple F-35 fighter bomber squadrons of the Imperial Airforce have been deployed to quickly gain dominance over the air and reinforce the actions of the USC. Each squadron with the assistance of Osiris is targeting any and all enemy fighters including those which have not or are scrambling. Several squadrons of stealth f117s have been deployed to each of the cities struck. As they approach the city they deploy a series of cruise missiles. As these approach the city they shatter and deploy many short range guided warheads. Osiris calculating based on wind speeds and direction sends specific coordinates to each point. Once they arrive they will themselves shatter releasing thick dense clouds of tear, which has been further mixed with a sedative gas. The Clouds will remain for several hours before dissipating. Assuming success these cities will be crippled and unable to respond to invasion. Along the country side fighter bombers continue to target remaining defensive emplacements.

    Ground Forces

    Imperium Ground forces move across the country side towards what remains of the major cities and are eliminating opposition as it comes along. Air support is being used to wipe out most of the resistance forces before they even hit the vanguard. Once forces arrive at the city they will occupy them. Anyone who resists will be arrested and sent back to a set of POW camps in the Imperial Republic. Said camps will reeducate any radicals and release them at the end of the war. Imperium doctors will distribute medical care and food to peaceful people in need. As well as evacuate those who wish to do so from the region to relocation settlements in other areas around Mongolia. Insurrection in any city will result in a block by block search of the effected areas of the city.

    There is no law or universal rule for human nature. Otherwise we would not be seeing the rise of this ideals aroudn the world. For example nations like ours (Bolshevik Federation) and those of the Comintern have survived and prospered from their revolutions, and I ask if you can specifically name nations that have endured the failure of the Communist system.

    So you agree then that your own ideology is simply a social construction and no more good or bad than those of anyone else? We only ask as we are seriously curious as to how you all have overcome is problem. Marx denies all claims to a universal transendent morality but at the same time asserts one himself. Or perhaps he doesn't?

    A lot of our political class happen to also be philosophical scholars and are fascinated with the writings of postmodernists and anti-statists (as well as leftists). As they themselves benefit from the power they have they clearly do not act upon the philosophies but find the concepts to be of intellectual interest. Some of these individuals have requested that they be allowed to attend one of your functions. While they are not interested in signing your pact they are interested in gaining a better understanding of communism as it is an interest of their personal studies. Despite the disputes in Asia as well as our disagreements ideologically the Imperium wonders if the International would allow these individuals to attend as we all have a mutual interest in theory as well as the expansion of intellectual thought. If allowed they will be there as individual scholars not agents of the Imperium or voices of state ideology and politics. Perhaps their unique perspective may even allow them to contribute to the meeting.

    In contemplating the problem of the spreading international socialism I have formulated a way in which we can combat it. Up to this point we have been fighting communism on the military and diplomatic fronts yet what we have not up to this point realized is that its a battle not for a piece of land or a section of the ocean but rather the hearts and minds of the people in each nation. Their ideology is naturally appealing to the poor and even some of the middle class of each nation, therefore nations with economic trouble or a high ratio of poor to middle class are susceptible to the ideology. Right now we are fairly secure from them as we manage to maintain our cultural isolation from the outside world and our people are themselves very prosperous economically as well as satisfied with the system we have and the government; however should this change we need to indoctrinate the people to reject communism not because they think its a bad system but because they think it threatens them. There is a marxist writer named Antonio Gramsci who during his lifetime theorized as to why the industrialized workers of the world had not revolved against the capitalist class. He ultimately realized that marxism had not won the cultural war of the age, while people knew they were being exploited they had decided to accept exploitation and instead pursue their own goals and attempt to rise through the power structure and exploit others themselves. In a sense the value system of the upper class had been imprinted upon the middle and lower classes. His solution to this problem was that marxists needed to infiltrate the power structure and change it by replacing the cultural hegemony with their own. Therefore my solution is this; in our movies, our schools, our books, our news papers and so on we must imprint the value system of the upper class upon our middle and lower class. We must make their personal economic goals be centered around self betterment and encourage them to uphold this value before any alternative collectivist value. We must pit them against each other make them competitors; this will make them work harder, as well as cause them to despise communism which threatens their ability to move up and exploit others. We can reinforce this by spreading and creating frequently told examples of great social mobility in our nation, while a lot of it will be truth it will be hyperbolized; the intent will be to make people think that if they just apply themselves they will be capable of anything. Beyond this we can continue to invest in social programs which will break the back of revolutionary socialism in our nation before it even arrives by taking away any popular support. In addition we should take the position of political moderates when it comes to communism; don't be against it because we reject the concepts, be against it because we think its too radical, too violent, and too aggressive, paint their leaders as simply power hungry thugs using a well intentioned political ideology to justify a hegemonic and imperialistic agenda. If we do all of this we will be fully immune from any communistic coup and even an invasion and occupation as our own people will never submit to the rule or support the new regime. Instead they will idealize the present regime and an open revolt against the invaders would restore the previous system. Finally as long as we keep communists out of power, which is a fairly easy thing to do considering our system communists will be unable to infiltrate the power structure and impose their views. The worst they would be able to do is isolate us internationally and force us to just function internally. Shall I put together a commission to pursue this?

    Yuktobania shall oppose the USC's policy of political cleansing. The Chinese should have every right to free political ideologies.

    There is a diffrence though, by choosing a communist ideology they instantly expand the influence of commieintern into the region; which means down the line the other nations sovereignty in the region will be threatened, and we will be prevented from freely following our own political ideologies and systems. While they can hide behind the value of self determinism now, they will ultimately end up just trying to convert or destroy those who remain. Their actions and movements now are essentially just a philosophical word game forcing us to contradict ourselves and seem imperialistic even though ultimately they are the ones who are being expansionist. And its really not even the expansionism the Imperium has a problem with its the fact that they are threatening nations that are already established, and forcing their ideology down our throats.

    While publicly for awhile the Imperium has maintained its composure and position of indifference in regard to the actions of Commintern we can no longer continue to ignore the threat they pose. The Imperium is it self not entirely devoid of socialist ideals, we invest heavily in public works, maintain laws which protect all of our people from exploitation, and have social programs which ensure the general welfare of the people we rule in essence we have sought to absorb the positive aspects of leftist advocacy while still maintaining the structure and other aspects which have worked are are established within our society already. As such we have been somewhat sympathetic of the reactionist position of communism and find it understandable that the exploited of a nation would act as they do. We have tolerated to this point the actions of these nations to this point knowing that as the system became more established and time progressed the extremists would die off and moderates would take their place. However have come to the conclusion that there may not be enough time for that. Ignoring the reasons and simply looking at the actions of this bloc we have realized that the ideologies of communism and its economic aspect of socialism are themselves convenient as they reject the sovereignty of any nation as well as advocate an internationalist position of spreading the doctrine and thus the influence of system itself. Like an evangelist religion we understand now that the subordinates of the leftist nations truly believe that they must expand the power of their nation as it is the only means to true liberation. Meanwhile the leadership of these nations though only seeming to be elected representatives are allowing the public to press them for violently imperialistic policies (couping governments ect) and illegal actions. Rather than have to justify controversial actions to their people these leaders have simply devised a way to be asked to do so. The truth, regardless of whatever excuse they may offer is that the communist international is forming a hegemony. They have conqured the west, and have begun to march in the east.

    That said the Imperium continues to support the USC, the east must be shielded from this ever expanding empire and the domination it seeks to impose.
