  1. I'll leave you all to your treaty celebrations.

Obviously you forgot you wrote this huh? You have the power to stop this argument just like everyone else does, just simply stop posting in this thread...

It's really pretty simple to do and you can focus on things that matter specifically to you like your alliance or perhaps [ooc]RL[/ooc]?

  2. I wasn't aware common decency prevented one from telling the truth. As far as throwing rocks etc., I find that a hilariously ironic piece of advice coming from Sparta.

I wasn't speaking for Sparta, I was speaking for Regent of Omerta. I find it "hilariously ironic" that some one like you who seems some what intelligent can't recognize what common decency really is and wants to persist on running his mouth about stuff that ultimately has no bearing on you or how you play the game.

You are obviously here grasping for straws in your attempt to get a rise out of people and it seems to be upsetting you that your failing at it.

I see the document in the OP as reference material for the rest of CN with respect to Sparta so they have an idea where we stand on Bob. It was not posted to gain your approval and quite frankly your opinion means absolutely nothing to me and I'm pretty sure to Sparta as individuals and as a group. Again, not speaking for Sparta, just throwing out a general sentiment that obviously you seem to have missed.

  3. Sparta care to comment on how by removing the senate from the charter you in theory leaving the democratic ties behind and adopting a more monarchical hierarchy, I hope why the founders added the senate in the 1st place unless they did so to put a check and allow the voice of the democracy to voice dissent?

We have people in Sparta, like myself, who are definitely not afraid to say what we think. I'm not in government there and have no plans to be, but if I feel that strongly against something, you can bet the farm that I will speak up. The thing you should really take from this overall statement, more so than my willingness to stand my ground, is that the government there has yet to brush anyone off that I've seen. They handle all questions or concerns professionally and with the interests of all parties involved as their primary concern.

@Duke - Common decency also would have procluded you from making your most recent snipe toward Sparta. Don't throw rocks when you live in a glass house okay? and don't start reading that as a threat, it's simply some sound advice to live by.

  4. Um, Sileath? I'm not jumping on the bandwagon here, mainly because this does not concern me in the least BUT....

You just admitted publicly that you have no issue with spying because you have done it more than once. I can see why these people don't plan to give you a moment's peace dude. And your casualty rate only tells me that people in this game have seen your transgressions and dealt with them, doesn't say anything about you as a person other than you can't seem to keep yourself out of trouble.

Again, just an observation from a seriously disinterested and non-caring party.

  5. I think alot of people realize that it isnt needed, but is rather interesting. I dont think this was a ploy for attention as much as they were trying to make an analysis of political culture on planet bob.

Actually it is just the opposite. I've seen screams for attention from a toddler that were less vocal.

  6. Hmm I was hoping Sparta would get rid of that duel Monarch system as its just...ugh...it even contradicts the word Monarchy. Is it really that hard to have 1 King and some sort of regent? Aside from that and the excessive amounts of government positions (hey your almost as big as Athens now :P ) it seems to be a very complete system. Best of luck to Sparta.

They have a "Regent"......ME! They don't need two lol. I'm enough trouble in my own right.

Your government needs to correspond in size to the amount of nations you have in your alliance. That way one or two people are not being worked to death having to do it all themselves.

  7. I've seen episodes of Jerry Springer with less name dropping and insults being thrown.

This is pathetic regardless of what happened. If you have a problem with some one in game, bring it to them in-game. Leave the OOC personal stuff alone. If you can't play that way, then get out of the game period because you obviously can't keep real world and fantasy separate.

CG, good luck finding who did this and getting it straight. Regardless of what you do, back your stuff up often and change your passwords to something only you as admins know. Make it difficult and write it down somewhere. Even if you get hacked, the host should be able to get into it and reset the site admins password to get you back to a point where you yourself can back it up. Nothing is perfect, but with some effort you can prevent alot of this kinda crap.

Yes, I've been through it before anybody asks. Just advice from lessons learned.

and before a mod warns me for saying this three days later, please understand that I was offering advice to help them prevent it in the future so yeah, my comments here are more than rambling.

  8. I myself have not served in this capacity but my father is retired army SFC and served in Vietnam and was in Cuba during the "Bay of Pigs" crisis. My brother is a retired senior CPO with 25 years in the USCG. Brother was on watch when Andrew devastated Homestead Florida as he was stationed at COMSTA Miami.

I have worked for the past seven years in Emergency Management and although I have seen no combat, I have seen more than my share of pain, suffering and even death. I am not comparing this to what any of you have seen but want you to understand that not only do I support each of you who have served, I thank you for doing so with all of my heart and soul. I only wish I had been able to serve but a childhood illness ruined any chance of that for me.

As for the comparison of RL to this game, Death and destruction are a whole different ball game when they're up close and personally staring you in the face.

This past Thursday, I resigned the position of Grand Master of The Templar Knights and thus defacto ruler of said alliance. I have reached the point where I feel I do not have the drive or time to continue in this capacity. I want everyone in this game to clearly understand that I do this of my own free will. I was not forced out nor were any other government who decided to step down around the same time I did. It was happenstance that all occurred in a short time as many of us grew weary of the commitment this takes. It seemed a good time for new people at the helm and to give others a chance to shine. Hopefully I am right in making this decision as I did not make it lightly, but it is time for a changing of the guard and I feel confident a new leadership with a good drive and direction can lead from this point on.

I also saw some of the largest changes to the Templar Knights have ever seen. I did my best to relinquish a great deal of power to the priory and membership than any other previous Grandmaster, promoting the ability of the Alliance to direct itself. Economically, TTK has risen in average NS of nearly 29,000, an increase of over 10,000 in average NS. That is a rather significant climb for any alliance to make. It shows that our growth in members may have tapered off, but our drive to be a success was not hampered in the slightest. I think that was more of a team effort and shows the resolve of a small group when a common goal is defined.

To my friends in the Chestnut accords and Maroon Economic Pact, I hope you will continue to treat the new Grand Master with the same respect that you have shown me. It was a privilege to work with all of you on the level we did. I think my replacement will be able to continue and even progress those efforts beyond what my contributions did. What we accomplished was a feat I never thought possible and is no small achievement for a sphere once referred to as the Balkans. I hope my efforts will be considered as an asset to the whole sphere, not just TTK.

I say all of that not for recognition, but to give a benchmark for the incoming Grand Master. I think he will take my efforts and excel far above them. I hope he does. If his attitude is any indication of what he is capable of. He will go far in this game and in real life. He has been the voice of reason many times when I was angered to the point of exploding. A testament to his ability to lead by example. I know I have learned from him as much as I hope I have given him to work with. Time will tell. I know I speak for the entire alliance, and many others friends in wishing him well for the future in both Planet Bob and life in general. He is more than deserving.

With all of that said, this has left a gap within TTK’s leadership. Following the charter , an election was held. The whole alliance membership having the opportunity to exercise their choice over a selection of candidates for a new Grand Master was held for the first time in the history of The Templar Knights.

Thus, Cyphon88 was duly elected Grand Master for The Templar Knights. May his reign be peaceful and successful. You deserve it my friend. You definitely earned it.

Newest Patriarch of the Templar Knights, Loyal member of the Priory

  10. i saw it coming, everyone retaliates, its human nature to use self defence but i stand by my point that some alliances are polluting Maroon, not necessarily directed just at your protectorate but several maroon alliances and maroon team members and like it or not i have a right to say my opinion, and i think its a valid one from a maroon team member of three years and former leader of a maroon alliance

If you plan to insult people, please be sure to use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation. It makes you appear more literate and people can take you a bit more seriously. For now, I will merely sit and shake my head at your post. I assume you are the former "Star Fox" in which case you really should learn to do something besides try to incite aggravation and have your nation beat to a pulp by those you irritate. After a while, you simply become a laughing stock.

Pat, we go way back and I for one am happy to see you get this off the ground. Good luck with it my friend.

Bud, it's all good man. It's just pixels and so many here are brave when they have nothing at stake.
