  1. No one reply to imbored24470's posts, she's very busy.

    Yes.

So... I heard I was supposed to reply to you in an attempt to get you to reply back?

Well I finished my movie now so I'm good.

    Onward Stickmen!

Btw I didn't think Paranormal Activity was the scariest movie of all time. Then again the copy I had was anticlimatic and had a meh ending.

(Do I need OOC brackets for this? Can my CN ruler be watching Paranormal Activity? I mean rulers don't just sit the whole time being ruler-y do they?)

  2. Haha, you're entirely misinterpreting what I said. I think it's cool you guys are challenging your status quo and doing what you think is right. More power to you. Posting this thread is a call-out though; it brings public attention to an issue you probably could have negotiated on your own, and because you seem like a group of charismatic guys, this thread is probably going to end up pretty fun. I don't agree or disagree with your acts, I just know what I would have done in your place, and if you're looking for an answer to your problem I don't think calling out the Purple Senate bloc was the most effective way to do it. I could always be wrong.

Oh like how Avalon called us out? That was a fun thread.

  3. Antagonizing Purple publicly probably isn't the fastest or most diplomatic way of getting what you want. But it certainly is the most entertaining.

How dare we have our own candidate and support him.

What terrible kind of people have candidates for senator and actually support them!

Maybe I should make a formal complaint to Stickmen on the forums.

  4. Quoted for posterity and verification of Stickmen policy.

I said this before and I'll say it again. Most nations in Stickmen have the ability to take the LESS THAN 2 SECONDS it takes to click on the name of the message sender and check the AA.

"Is this alliance telling me to vote for a senator in my alliance or an ally? No? Ok I'll vote for one of my allies instead then."

Surely not a difficult task. Finding the AA of who sent you a message is less difficult than voting itself.

  5. Perhaps it was them saying we are neutral leave us out of it followed by them actually going and telling their members to vote for the PEACE candidates?

GearHead, we weren't messaging Avalon or any other alliance, It was a blanket message to all purple nations as sovereign nations.

    This.

Also let me say this. Avalon went and made this public before contacting any Stickmen government from what I'm aware of.

If this was just to remind people they aren't in senate elections they don't need to include us in it at all.

Talk to gov, solve that problem in a few minutes.

For a post say "This is a friendly reminder to all nations that Avalon do not vote in senate and would appreciate not having any of our members on any amsg links."

Saves so much time typing and would hardly have this kind of response.

Anyhow I'm tired as our Soda factories have closed for the night leaving me with no caffeine. Therefore I shall sleep now.

(OOC: See my nation name is Sodas, that means me sleeping is in character as I'm relating it to my nation.. I think?)

  6. Its actually more like a salesman is calling us up and we tell them to take us off their list please, but in a manner so that all salesmen might know to take us off their list.

If all of CN was salesmen, I suppose so. Otherwise it's like having an announcement on the news to tell the world you don't want salesmen to call you.

A bit over the top I think.

  7. Hey you know how Avalon were being polite and simply making a request that you don't message them and didn't resort to any of this !@#$-flinging nonsense and how you've now just made yourselves look like complete tools trying to look big and clever by parodying an otherwise harmless request thread. Which also could have resulted in some lovely PR for you, had you decided to just say "kthxbai" and not pull a childish stunt like this. (which has actually been done before, so it's not even original material you guys are doing here, where's the innovation at, amirite?)

    Yeah, good times. Congratulations.

Clearly you should discuss that topic in that thread. Also no they didn't just ask us. they went to all of CN and announced it and then decided to message their nations specifically to vote AGAINST our senator.

Also.. A parody isn't original? Why I never!

  8. Greeting assembled rulers,

The government of SLCB convenes this day and comes before you all with a troubled heart. We unfortunately finds ourselves forced to lodge a formal public grievance with NSO. Our complaint is in regards to the apparent onslaught of spam sent by NSO this afternoon. We awoke this afternoon (we're lazy and we sleep in) to receive reports coming in from across our beloved ocean of messengers from members of NSO delivering various forms of the following missive to our fellow citizens:

    34qnr41.png

As this spamming has taken on an inherently public character, we feel compelled to give a response that may be filed on the public record. This mass spamming of another sovereign entity is not in keeping with the standards of civilized conduct on Planet Bob. Just as an alliance seeking to merge ought not to spam recruitment messages to the citizens of another foreign entity, those seeking new members should speak to unaligned nations, not another alliances citizens. Such tactics are the tools of underground guerrilla campaigns and the like, not for use by upstanding formal alliances of honour. SLCB can neither endorse, nor condone through our public silence, the use of alliance-wide spamming for the purposes of recruitment.

SLCB does not seek any sort of apology or other political mechanization. We are seeking only to make a public awareness of how and why such violation of common political etiquette can be construed as rude. It is our desire to see this rectified by the cessation of further such occurrences.

This incident has started off relations with NSO on the wrong foot. And despite any such incident we continue to hold a special place in our hearts for NSO, a very very DEEP place in our hearts. We hope that future incidents of this nature can be avoided and that our relations with NSO can improve after this unfortunate start.

    tl;dr

    Long Live SLCB

    DIAF NSO

Also, please vote Michiel de Ruyter for Purple senate.

  9. Correction, that was until you decided to involve us in Senate politics. Once again however, how does this matter either way to the issue at hand?

Because a message requesting you to please vote for someone involves you and means you have to? Is it not the individual nations choice to vote or not?
