For the Glorious Republic,

President Huey Long

"Let it be known that just because it is not required to defend doesn't mean we will shy away from conflicts. We have signed two treaties in two days and intend to fully honor them both. Our brothers across the Mississippi may not be as close to us as we originally intended, but we eventually hope we can upgrade this in the future."

Our congratulations on becoming friends. It is always better to be friends rather than enemies with your close neighbors.

We learned this the hard way. We congradulate our close friend, Tennessee, and our neighbor, Louisiana, on this treaty.

We agree! That is why we try to be good friends with our neighbors even if our... ideas do not necessarily agree. It surely benefits everyone!

OOC: I know two of my neighbors are communist (socialist... whatever) and my nation is like super capitalist... Glad they can be friends though!
