NFL Draft News
Jimmy Clausen
After being projected to go as high as #4 to the Washington Redskins, Jimmy Clausen falls all the way to the second round to the Carolina Panther at 48.
Taylor Mays
After falling to the second round to the 49ers, Taylor Mays had some harsh words to say to his former coach at USC, Pete Carroll.
Mays was a projected Top 15 draft pick in last years draft. Carroll begged him to stay, insisting he would teach Mays how to become a more complete NFL safety. Instead, Carroll changed his defensive scheme to one that would cause Taylor Mays to be more of a deep coverage safety, instead of showcasing May's talent at playing near the line and making big hits.
Sam Bradford
As expected, Sam Bradford was picked #1 overall by the St. Louis Rams. Now that they've got him, they are going to have to pay him some ridiculous money, probably alot more than what was given to last years #1, Matthew Stafford.
Tim Tebow
In a strange twist, Tim Tebow was picked #25 to the Denver Broncos, before Jimmy Clausen, Colt McCoy, Dan Lefevour, or Tony Pike, all quarterbacks rated as better pro prospects than him. Is it really good for the Broncos to spend a first rounder on a guy who isn't going to be NFL ready for 2-4 years?
