Hm, it's been so long since I wrote a blog that for a minute I was unsure if I picked "Schattenmann's Disused Blog" as a subtitle, or if the forum knows. I guess I knew myself pretty well to have picked that. On to it.
There it is. The image that made Monday more than the crummy first day of the week. The header that helped reshape the world; my own small contribution. The image thousands anticipated every week, and for everyone that read it transformed me from a scrappy troll to the face of a revolution sticking it to the man with witty commentary that assigned global importance to the most mundane daily activities like tech dealing.
I love to write, I always have. I like to debate, even argue. TWiP was the culmination of my best work and a weekly platform to have fun doing it.
And I can't stand it.
In the past year, the memory of Vox really has gone from the public mind. Just as we all promised, as soon as it appeared that the fight was over, we all scattered to the wind; I haven't really spoken to anyone from Vox since we dissolved. Vox's showing in the CN Awards was pathetic, even if MK hadn't been in the polls. My former viewers think of me only in that context from a part of their minds which has collectively faded.
Every venture onto the public scene is a step into the critical mob:
I thought this was supposed to be This Week in Pacifica not This Week in Justitia. Pssh.
edit: In all seriousness, hopefully you can start to gain some momentum with your alliance, Shantamantaman.

Fun read none the less and i'm glad to see that a 'This week in...' style of series is still being made even now.
Not only is the Cult an awesome alliance, but I love your writing. Reminiscient of TWiP. Good read, Shantanamann.

You apparently didn't read TWiP. He's often entertaining, but facts aren't high on his priority list.
TWiP, TWiP, TWiP, TWiP, TWiP! It's all I hear! My magnum opus turned leg-iron. The bit of past yoked onto my neck.
What's worse, seeking to find the audience again, I parody myself:
These necromantic ventures disgust me. Shoulders sagging with the weight of my past and public expectation, throat tight with ire, mouth drawn, I put on my clown suit for everyone's benefit.
I'm tired of it now; I don't want to be the host of TWiP anymore.
