"After months of waiting since the Vaulian referendum, the pledged reunification has finally taken place. In a massive ceremony in the city of Petrograd, the new Federal Capital, the country celebrated this auspicious event. Millions of citizens turned out into the streets in celebration as President Rokossovska addressed the cheering crowds."-Reporter ***President Rokossovska's Speech*** "Today, the hopes and dreams of many citizens have been fulfilled. Today we stand on the brink of a new dawn. We have listened to the voices of the people, and they have resoundingly supported the principle of Federation. Therefore it gives me great honor to announce that the time of our unification is at hand. Tomorrow morning there will no longer be a separate Vaule and Buryatia. Tomorrow morning we shall be one nation, indivisible. Throughout the course of our history we have been at the mercy of several foreign powers, from the ancient Hordes, to the oppression of the Russians. But through those times we have managed to hold on to our culture and to our way of life. We shall never again permit such oppression to take place. We, as a nation, will move through the halls of the world on our feet and not on our knees. We are committed to defending our territorial integrity and are committed to diplomatic solutions to conflicts. This should not be interpreted as a sign of weakness. We are ready and able to use force when it is absolutely necessary, and we will never flinch in defense of our people or our land. While we may not always have seen eye to eye, our two nations share a common destiny and a common dream. This common fate has drawn us together once again, despite all odds and despite several obstacles. I say to citizens everywhere, celebrate the rebirth of our great nation! Celebrate the anniversary of our triumph against the Soviets! Celebrate the anniversary of the great victory against Russia! Celebrate the liberation of our people! Celebrate the turning of a new page in history. Celebrate the creation of our Democratic Socialist Union!"-President Rokossovska ***Back to Studio*** "The Buryatian Diplomatic Corps has sent messages to every embassy in Buryatia, as well as a public announcement to all television media, stating that the Socialist Union of Vauleo-Buryatia is the official successor state to Buryatia. Therefore all treaties and doctrines that were active during the existence of the United Kingdom of Buryatia, shall remain active for the duration of the existence of the Socialist Union of Vauleo-Buryatia, unless otherwise noted. The Diplomatic Corps also announced that nations who have questions or concerns regarding the transition may direct queries to either the Buryatian Diplomatic Corps, or the 3rd Deputy Foreign Minister. The Celebrations in Petrograd also included a massive display of Vauleo-Buryatia's military might"-Report ***Live from the Parade*** -The Siberian Guards "The Elite Siberian Guard unit was the first military unit on display as they marched across the Square to thunderous applause. The Siberian Guards are a women-only military unit charged with defending the President and Government of Buryatia." -People's Police Force (Women's Division) "The People's Police Force, which has now been made into a branch of the military for administrative purposes, was up next. The female unit, outfitted with new uniforms, marched across the Square with remarkable cohesion." -People's Army (Women's Division) -People's Army (Men's Division) "Next up, the key component of any Armed Force, the People's Army. The People's Army is charged with defending the nation from external threats through the use of troops and ground based equipment." -Presidential Guard -Naval Forces -People's Special Forces "As the sun set over the Square, there was a spectacular fireworks display as the Meritorious State Choir and Music Ensemble of the People's Army played the National Anthem." While our foreign policy is primarily Asian-centric, we would not be opposed to the opening of Diplomatic ties between our two nations.
