The Kingdom of Sverige would send twenty of its Bifrost landing craft to the island of Osel, currently held by the nation of Landfall. The ships would be loaded up with supplies such as building supplies, medical supplies, food, clothing, and footwear. Also being brought were large quantities of small arms including a large number of each type currently equipped by the Sverige military, as well as large sums of ammunition. A small contingent of vehicles would be brought with them as well, Four Strf 9040C's, Two Stridsvagn 122, Two Stridsvagn 103, and Four Thor's. Also included would be large sums of the Sverige Kronos.

 

The Bifrost would land on the beaches and the engineering crews that went along with them began moving the supplies off the craft, and stack them in neat piles. There weren't really many soldiers guarding the ships or the engineering crews offloading everything, and it would be rather obvious that the crews and craft weren't on a hostile mission. Prior to the ships departing the Kingdom of Sverige had dispatched a message to the nation of Landfall.

The Kingdom of Sverige welcomes its new neighbor to the Baltic Sea, and we wish it good fortunes on its journeys. Due to the small size of your nation, we will be sending you a small aid package to help move things along a little easier, and if you like the equipment delivered, we will be more than happy to supply your nation with move of them.

The landing crafts would be met by the local militia company who would accept receipt of the vehicles. As their was no place in the Landfall Militia Order of Battle for such heavy equipment a great deal of thought would be needed to properly use it. The recent influx of immigrants from the old Baltic States would readily accept the generous contributions of Sverige. Many of them had arrived with only the clothes on their backs and it had proved a strain on the someone archaic Landfallian Social Support Network. 

 

The crews and Engineers would be hosted to a Fish dinner cooked right there on the beach along with live music from enthusiastic, yet someone ear straining, local bands.  Numerous bottles of Landfallian Death Juice, the signature 150 proof whiskey aged anywhere from 5 minutes to 18 years would be cracked open and passed around. 

 

Prime Minister Degrasse would make the drive from Salme and he would mingle with the Engineers and crewmen and thank them personally. He would give the highest ranking office a bottle of Landfallian Death Juice Select, aged 22 years from his private stock and ask that it be passed along to his commanding officer with the Prime Minister's thanks.

We thank you for your generous contributions. They'll be put to good use, we've had a recent influx of immigrants from the Baltic States and they'll appreciate the clothing and building materials. Landfall will not slap a generous hand away but we'd prefer to purchase all future supplies. To this end we have a great number of fishing boats at work and our catches are proving to be abundant. We'd like to begin trading our surplus of fish directly with you for building supplies and other manufactured goods.

The Engineering Crews of the Sverige Military would mingle and enjoy themselves with the locals, and the captain of the team would shake the hand of the Prime Minister when meeting with him and would say how much he was honored to meet the leader of the nation. He would also be quick to remind his people that they were representatives of Sverige, and they were here on a mission, and were getting paid by the Sverige crown, so to not disgrace themselves, any citizen of Landfall or do anything to disgrace the King of Sverige. 

 

In the distance a Sverige soldier could be seen talking to a Landfall Militiaman about the tanks, and he would point to the ocean, describe a ship and explain the extreme ranges that the cannon of the tanks could fire accurately and told him that they could use them as mobile anti-ship batteries.

We don't want you to feel in debt to us, we are doing this to help bolster and grow your nation, as well as grow your economy. If you wish to trade us fish, we are more than willing to accept such a trade, and would be willing to provide whatever building supplies, and other goods you would need. We would also like to start the construction of a Deep Water Port off the coast of your nation, as well as construction of a large dockyard for your island. This would allow us to use larger ships to transport to Deep Water Port, and from there between you may borrow from us, and in the future perhaps purchase, or purchase from others you may begin to move those supplies from the Deep Water Port to your island. This will also free up our Bifrost currently at your nation, as those are military craft, and are currently the only pieces of equipment we had that could make the journey there, land on your shores, then return home afterwards.

"We'd be willing to accept such an offer with the proper financing arrangements. Those being that Sverige agrees finance the port construction with the expectation of gaining 15 percent of all port duties over the next 25 years as repayment. As for the offer of the ships, we'd very much love to explore this relationship further. We have several start up companies looking to lease or purchase ships, it would be a mutually beneficial arrangement for both parties over the long run with the proper financing arrangements."

Diplomatic Note from Sverige

 

We appreciate your efforts at wishing to repay early efforts of ours to help boost your nation, but if you wish to pay us over a 25 year period, I would suggest that you only give us 5 percent of all port duties, as our economic teams project that after 20 years at 5 percent you would have already paid off the debt with extra, and the five years extra I am sure you would attempt to argue for interest on the loan given, so we won't try to argue with you on it as we feel that it could go on for days, and it would only delay the rebuilding. We are also prepared to remove dues from the Sound Tolls from any shipping, and we are prepared to lease your government on a two year contract 20 Transport ships built for transporting between an independent Deep Sea Port, not attached to land to your islands dockyard. Any building projects you wish to embark upon, we are willing to help finance. We also have a small portion of our population that would be interested in traveling to your nation to help with reconstruction, some for humanitarian reasons, others looking for work. They would be coming with their families, and some may possibly wish to stay within your nation.

"The government of Landfall is looking to outfight eight QRF companies for local security. We wish to purchase 24 of your excellent MBTs with spare parts and other necessary accouterments for the servicing of these fine vehicles. Further, we require another 72 of your fine APCs and spare parts. Thusly, the end is not yet here, we wish to acquire eight LCACs and are hoping your fine naval ship yards can produce these wonderful craft for us. And, we are in the market for combat aircraft and wish to acquire upwards of 24 squadrons of an air craft that is well suited for air defense and ground support operations.

This total will come at significant cost to our nation, however, we are willing to enter into a long term payment plan. Further, I think you'll find a certain fondness in the hearts of all Landfallians for your nation due to your generosity and that we'd be willing to reciprocate in this generosity by agreeing to some sort of regional defensive pact.

Diplomatic Reply from Sverige

 

The Kingdom of Sverige would be more than willing to provide Landfall with the requested equipment, as well as produce the requested LCACs. The LCAC production would be a rather simple conversion and small modification of our current Bifrost Landing Craft to small dimensions and to your specifications and with the spare parts we have produced for them, production would be done in no time. All of the other military equipment and vehicles you have requested, we will pull out of military surplus stock, go over them properly, fix and repair any issues they may have and transport them over to you at once, with additional spare parts. As far as payment, we do not require that of you at this time, our current agreements are well enough for us, and providing defensive capabilities for your nation in turn protects our investment in your nation.
