Here it was, the Coronation Festival and Ceremony. The people of the United Kingdom of Idaho-Montana had taken the initial announcement from Sir Franklyn quite well. The people were truly happy to finally happy to have a true King on the throne who would lead them through any and all tribulations. To truly show off the rebirth of loyalty and pride in the UKIM. The people have launched into a massive Kingdom-wide "Clean-up and Cheer-up" Initiative. Gone were the glum, sorry faces of pain and desperation which had gripped the people of late. In their stead, cheerful tunes being sung and whistled at every street corner. Shops reopened and businesses were on the rebound. The people could finally breathe deeply and unclench from the pain of the recent events which had gripped the country. Their King too could finally breathe freely. This was his time and he held the future in his hands.

On the eve of his coronation, Sir Franklyn fasted, gave alms, and partook in a confession of his past misdeeds. He then walked on foot from the royal castle to the Basilica of St. Stanisław, patron saint of the United Kingdom of Idaho-Montana. Unlike the remainder of the service, the royal procession was opened to the masses.

Inside the church, the royal regalia of the Kingdom are laid on the high altar, while Chadwick was seated on a low chair nearby. The royal oath is to be administered, and the new monarch then kneels before the altar. Two mitred abbots next entered from a side chapel, carrying a mixture of holy oils, with which the ruler was then anointed. Following this, the new King, Franklyn is handed a sword, which he uses to trace a cross in the air. Next he is to be crowned by the Archbishop, assisted by two other bishops, following which he received his orb and scepter. The high mass continued, with the newly-crowned sovereign receiving Holy Communion, then kissing a crucifix and mounting his throne.

The new King, King Franklyn I opened his royal court in Church that night to any royal observers or other visitors who came to view the coronation.

Maria Angelika von Hapsburg, sat at the back of the church, away from the eyes of the nobles and the other aristocrats, beyond the view of the clergy, but her white sundress and bright sandy brown hair still would catch the eye of the new King of Idaho-Montana. She was happy, everything had gone perfectly and more so, it hadn't cost her anything in money or in blood. The old king had given up his power without a fight and Franklyn had jumped at the chance to lead Idaho-Montana into an age of peace, which the country hadn't enjoyed for years. That was not to say that everything would change over night, Angelika doubted that immensely and she didn't have the faith to completely let the nobility return to their way of running things around Idaho-Montana. No. She made a promise in her head as she watched Franklyn take the throne that she wouldn't let Idaho-Montana repeat the mistakes it had in the past, there was too much potential here, strength, wealth, power, and the lack-luster gentry was not going to destroy it a second time.

She chuckled, the name of the church was St. Stanisław and her mind drifted to Poland. Idaho-Montana reminded the Princess a great deal of Poland, its pathetic gentry who had done nothing but party in their castles and palaces while her countrymen, the Prussians, and the Russians divided their territory amongst themselves. The parallels were the same here, the URSR, Pravus Inguro, the rest of North America, all perhaps eying the rolling plains of the Northwest with suspicion and greed. But as the crown touched his head, she clapped with the gentry and with the clergy.

"It took an Austrian to put him on the throne and an Austrian will make sure he stays on the throne." Reaching down, Angelika took out her own crucifix hanging on a golden chain around her neck and kissed it. "I accept."

Vice President Robert McNeil of The United States attended and enjoyed the heart churning ceremony. With he himself being a Catholic he felt he had a special place here in the church while this all went on.
With everything that happens in the world, it is nice to sit back and watch a historic ceremony. To think, one day his children will look back and say, "My father witnessed the crowning of a King who still stands to rule to this day."

Also, with North America's history of war, this was a great thing to see done peacefully. Robert was tired of war. War had consumed his country, his life, his best friend's life. Peace was so nice to finally be a witness of.
How long had it been since Robert had gone to confession? A a few weeks? A month? He didn't want to know. But thoughts like these started passing through his tired mind. He had been attending church often although he needed to be reconciled.
David looked over a Maria Hapsburg and gazed for a second at her beauty. A fellow - well let's just say a friend - knocked him on his shoulder, "Don't get any ideas Mr. Vice President, she is the fiance of..." Robert caught on and quickly made the sign of the cross.

His Highness Kerala Varma, the King of Cochin, along with the Cochin Royal Family and the Kingdom of Cochin congratulates King Franklin I, the new King of the United Kingdom of Idaho and Montana. A special personal envoy would be sent by HH Kerala Varma to present King Franklin I with an ancient dagger, beautiful yet spartan, crafted centuries ago by Malabar's ancient armorers in the traditional Kalari Payattu style.
