Franz Ferdinand Posted December 8, 2010 Report Share Posted December 8, 2010 With rumours of Idaho-Montana troops moving moving into our borders, the Holy American Empire were called upon to safeguard American Union interests. A bill was drawn up and passed allowing civilians to carry weaponry and as a result, compulsory military training was brought into place to bring them up to speed in how to defend against aggressors. The initial reports showed approximately 200,000 civilians ready to die for their country along the Idaho-Montana border with an extra 200,000 ready to be called up when need be and additional recruits to call up when the time is right. Civilian contractors were also brought in to better fortify the borders through the construction of walls at key points in the border with artillery positions put in place to help keep back aggressors. Money was also pumped into the air defences, thus allowing for a readiness to repel any invaders. The construction of tanks had also started to help provide support the infantry in the likelihood of invasion. Approximately 2,000 were proposed for construction.
