[font="Calibri"][size="2"]In order for a member to be a member, they have to ask to be a member. The application forms are available at TLK's forums, and always will be. membership via private message or IRC is not permitted, unless special permission is given from the Director. [/size][/font]

[font="Calibri"][size="2"]All memberships will be treated the same, and are archived for security. In the event that the membership requirements change, all existing members will not have to change anything in their application, and the new rules will apply from the moment they are announced onward. [/size][/font]

[font="Calibri"][size="2"]While members are asked to be active on forums and IRC, it is not a requirement. At times, TLK may send out messages asking members to be more active, but they are under noob ligation to do so. [/size][/font]

[font="Calibri"][size="2"]TLK's governmen tstructure is constantly being expanded and changed on an ongoing basis. To guarantee the sections below are accurate, it is advised that you read thi sdirectly from TLK's forums, or receive a copy from one of their members.[/size][/font]

[font="Calibri"][size="2"]The Director of TLK is the main figure of their government structure. Although he does not have complete control, he remains more powerful than any single member of the alliance. In times of need, he reserves the ability to make decisions without the consent of the other governing bodies, but they must be in the best interest of TLK as a whole.[/size][/font]

[font="Calibri"][size="2"]The Director is required to sign all treaties, declare any war announcements, keep members informed, and appoint other members to government seats, or host elections when he feels necessary.[/size][/font]

[font="Calibri"][size="2"]The Director's term lasts as long as he wishes it to last. Upon his resignation, he can either appoint someone to his position, or instead leave it open for The Overwatch todecide.[/size][/font]

[font="Calibri"][size="2"]The Minister of Economics (MoE) is responsible for the economic state of the alliance. External and Internal tech deals, outgoing aid, and war relief efforts among our allies.Nation reviews and economic strategies also fall under this category.[/size][/font]

[font="Calibri"][size="2"]Minister of War)[/size][/font]

[font="Calibri"][size="2"]The Minister of War is in charge of all rogue wars, both aggressive and defensive within TLK. He is also in charge of making sure each and every nation knows what to do in time sof war, and regular war chest checkups. The Minister of War is required to sign any military-related treaties signed by TLK.[/size][/font]

[font="Calibri"][size="2"]While everyone is asked to recruit, the Minister of Recruiting should be what TLK considers to be their 'best' recruiter. However, that the theory means showing excellence in behind it, as well as the actual recruiting itself. The Minister of Recruitment is responsible for making sure only 1 person is recruiting at any time, the method recruiters use, and the payments they receive.[/size][/font]

[font="Calibri"][size="2"]The Overwatch)[/size][/font]

[font="Calibri"][size="2"]The Overwatch serves as the second-in-command government body, after the Director, and before the minister body. The Overwatch is in charge of what is commonly known as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Education, as well as a few other small jobs. The Overwatch should contain 2-5% of the bodies within TLK at any time. Other ministers and government bodies may maintain their former position, and a position on The Overwatch at the same time, but it is usually better that they do not, and is at the discretion of The Director.[/size][/font]

[font="Calibri"][size="2"]Article 2: The Web )The treaty web is a miraculous thing. We tried to hire experts to analyze it for us, but they started crawling around on the floor and catching flies instead. So we decided that we don't want any part in it. [/size][/font]

[font="Calibri"][size="2"]Article 3: The Claws) To give you simple-minded folks some text you can read, any and all treaties signed by TLK in the future, or currently existing ones are in agreements of a no-webbing clause. If you have a treaty with us, and your friends get attacked,we'll be there on the other side, but unless we have a specific treaty with them, their protection isn't our concern.[/size][/font]

[font="Calibri"][size="2"]Article 4: The Fallback ) We realize that not every alliance agrees with this clause, and therefore we will make sure it is known before the signing of every treaty, andour current allies know of it's existence and are in agreement of it. However,if an alliance thinks differently, and acts in our defense, because of a treaty with an alliance TLK is tied to, we'll throw you a thank you and be on our way.[/size][/font]

[font="Calibri"][size="2"]Article 5: Security) TLK also realizes that this document may not always be in the interest of the government, or general membership of TLK, therefore with a voting pass of the General, The Ministers, and 75% of the Overwatch, a webbing clause can be included in a treaty. In the events that this doctrine is no longer found to be efficient, it can be edited with the same support as signing a treaty with a webbing clause requires, or:[/size][/font]

[font="Calibri"][size="2"]Article 6:Cancellation ) In the event that the TLK government no longer feels this doctrine to be efficient, it can be canceled with a vote of the General, Allthe current Ministers, and 85% of the Overwatch. After the vote is passed,every existing treaty must be revisited, and in combination with the other signatory decide on a webbing clause for the duration of the treaty.[/size][/font]
