Centurius
OOC Note: The result of this poll will only be binding for 50% of the Assembly of the People. IC: With almost a year past since the planned elections and wars coming to an end and the inclusion of the Antarctic territories and the New Palma Republic all citizens received a call to vote, as always voting was mandatory unless a person was unable to do so due to an illness. Athenian Socialist Alliance With the Athenian Socialist Alliance and the Athenian Communist Party merged together the Athenian Socialist Alliance is by far the biggest party currently in the Assembly, originally founded by the Empress during the resistance against the former Greek government the Alliance has been in the government of the Federation since its foundation guiding it throughout the world and beyond. The Slavic Unity Party is suspected of having links with the terrorist Slavic Independence Army and assisting the rebels in the Bulgarian Civil War. There currently are 11 trials against important figures within the party. Political Spectrum: Extreme-Right Ideology: Conservatism/Nationalism Main Election Promises: -Improve funding of projects within Bulgaria, Macedonia and the parts of Greece with relative majorities of ethnic Russians and Croatians -Increase funding to the military to make the Hellenic Armed Forces an even stronger force -Improving independence and autonomy of regions from Athens -Abolish the Monarchy and implement a republic Equal Rights Party Like the other 3 parties not yet represented in the Assembly the Equal Rights Party is a newcomer to the scene, formed by Dutch immigrants but with a serious increase of other ethnic groups the Equal Rights Party seeks to balance the plethora of ethnicities within the Federation to create a fair and equal society without any form of racism or discrimination. Due to its ideology both the party as its electorate mostly consist of people between the ages of 18 and 30. In addition it advocates segregation in public places and stopping immigration. The party itself is currently facing a trial by the Supreme Court to rule on its legitimacy, it is also suspected of having links with several extreme-right militias. IC: Friedland does not wish to interfere with the due process of another sovereign state, and so will not encourage any single party in these elections, but hopes that the history and tradition of the Hellenic nation is served and wishes peace and prosperity as the result of these new elections. The FSM
Reports of fascist elements involved in the Athenian electoral process has become fodder for a number of hawkish pundits on Sicilian opinion shows and talk radio. The opinion of these pundits is that Sicily must begin to prepare for the overthrow of the Athenian government by fascists and ways to prevent this fascist revolution they expect to arrive from reaching Sicily. Most people pay no attention.
Centurius
With initial polls coming in a large grow towards the fascist sides of the political system have been found an interesting development considering the normal very open attitude towards other cultures the Hellenic state maintains in response a spokesperson from the ASA said the following. "It is incredibly dustbring that both the Slavic Unity Party as Hellenic Pride Party have so much support while they advocate fascist policies of hate and intolerance. Should the ASA be part of a future coalition government we will make it our goal to correct this situation and help cultures interact"
