Motto: "Bersatu, Berusaha, Berbakti" ("Unity, Effort, Duteous")
Capital: Bantong
Official Language: Bahasa Malay
Unrecognized Minority Languages: Various Malay dialects and Hakka Chinese.

Administrative divisions
Administratively, The Federation consists of two States (Malay: Negara). Sabah in the north and East Kalimantan in the south. Each state is further divided into districts called Bahagian.
The collapse of the government in neighboring areas of Borneo has seen Malay forces move in to liberate the areas from foreign domination. Plans are underway to incorporate them as the following provinces: Brunei, Sarawak, Central Kalimantan, West Kalimantan & South Kalimantan.

Demographics
The Federation has a ethnic Malay majority population which are classed as Bumiputra or ‘Sons of the soil’, a term used to denote those portions of the population belonging to one of the various Malayo-Polynesian groupings within the federation, who are known by a variety of different names. The largest Malay groupings are the Sabah-Malays, Bugis, Dayak, Banjarese, Kadazan-Dusun’s and the Bajau, in addition there is a plethora of smaller groupings and tribes scattered throughout the Federation. The Bahasa Malay language (which originates from the Malay Peninsular to the west of Borneo) is the official language of the Federation and remains the lingua franca throughout the nation.

There is a large Chinese minority who retain their native customs and language despite Malay Nationalist pressure to assimilate into Malay norms. The vast majority of the Chinese population trace their roots to Hakka Chinese migrants and the Hakka language remains the most spoken Chinese language in the Federation (with much smaller pockets of Cantonese and Fujianese speakers scattered across the Federation).

Religion
The Federation is officially secular however religion remains a strong part of everyday society. The majority adhere to Sunni Islam, however large Christian populations can also be found among the Kadazan-Dusun and Dayaks who are both overwhelmingly Christian. A debased form of Ancient Hinduism called Kaharingan can also be found in the more remote areas of Kalimantan state. Among the Chinese minority Buddhism remains the prime faith.

Economy
The Economy is based on four main industries; Aluminium Mining, Uranium mining, Agriculture and commercial fishing. The Government has also signaled its intention to develop a tourism industry.

Angkatan Tentera – Federation Armed Forces

Tentera Darat - Army
The Army operates a strict recruitment policy based on racial lines, with non-Malays not accepted into the ranks. The 1st Regiment (1. Rejimen Asker Melayu) consists largely of Mechanized infantry with specialist Artillery, signals, engineering and logistic batallions). The 2nd ‘Rangers’ Regiment (2. Rejimen Renjer Melayu) consists largely of light infantry battalions and 2 airborne battalions, it is trained to specialize in both conventional and irregular warfare in the mountains and jungles of the Federation.

Tentera Udara – Air Force
The Air Force recently took its first delivery of F-5E Tiger II’s which will form the backbone of the Air forces capabilities. In addition to the F-5E orders have been placed for C130 transports and UH1 Iroquois helicopters which re likely to be delivered in the coming months.

Tentera Laut – Navy
The navy is the smallest of the branches of the Armed Forces, it currently has one Corvette (the ‘Borneo’) and a small patrol boats in active service.
All commissioned ships of the Navy have a prefix KP, which means Kapal Persekutuan (Federation Ship).

OOC: I will expand this over time.
