It isnt hard to see that out of the seven members of the Military Council, that three of them would be scientists. Ballistics, Computers, and Advanced Technology was their contribution for the Council. For the new project they were considering, they needed help from the outside...from some of the most brilliant thinkers on the planet...For this, they turned to the Eggman Empire.

Hello, as the military advisors for the King, we were hoping that you would help us in a joint military science project. It will include some of your greatest military strategists as well as computer engineers. If you can spare the time to send some of them down to meet with us, I believe that this will benefit both of our nations greatly militarily. I look foward to meeting with you.

Thank You,

The Miliary Council of the Kingdom of Carthage
Wallace Yerkes was in a sour mood. At the beginning of the week, he'd been happy. Earlier in the year, the new emperor Isaac Kintober, had placed him in charge of the 9th Experimental Infantry Division. The most powerful division in the country's military. Yerkes had the privilege of personally overseeing training exercises for the Happy Smiler troops under his command. Yerkes truly believed they were the way of the future. Then a few days ago, he'd been personally ordered by the Emperor to escort two high profile members of the government to Rabat, Morocco, for a joint brainstorming exercise or something. Yerkes was chagrined. He hated the heat. His mood only worsened when he realized who he was escorting. The state secret and obnoxious teenager, Kenny Kintober, and brother of Sammy Kintober and back-stabbing traitor, Jack Ulysses Kintober.

Yerkes viewed Kenny as immature and oblivious to the geo-political world around him. The teen was far to wrapped up in reminding everyone how he was a technological genius. And given how Jack had tried to take over Eggman Empire twice in as many years, Yerkes would much rather put a bullet in his brain. Though as much as he disliked both of them, Yerkes had a grudging respect for the two. Kenny was who he claimed: A technological genius. The teen had already created dozens of new types of military hardware that either boosted their current arsenal or opened the ways for entirely new venues. He was also an expert on cyber-warfare, and had developed a lot of software that made EE's current computer system an electronic fortress against cyber-attacks. Jack seemed to be Sammy's replacement where medical science was concerned. Since his installment into the EE government, Jack had developed no less then four new types of pathogens and their cures. He, along with Avita, were also developing new medical treatments that could help countless thousands through-out the world. If they decided to make them known to the general public, anyway. Yerkes leaned back in his seat and sighed. He tried to let the quiet whine of the jet's engines lull him to sleep, but when he got close, a nearby argument between Jack and Kenny started, and Yerkes groaned. He looked out the window and saw nothing but ocean. He groaned again. This flight was taking entirely too long.
-----
Some time later, they had finally reached Rabat. It was everything Yerkes had expected it to be and more. In so much as he'd expected it to be a sweltering inferno. Looking around, he saw both Jack and Kenny were looking uncomfortable in the heat, though his four escorts of Gen-8 Smilers seemed to be alright. Lucky genetically altered %^*%^*ers. Shaking those distractions from his head, Yerkes hurriedly dialed the number to contact Khaled Nezzar and let him know they were here. Now, all they could do was wait on the tarmac in front of their plane for their hosts to show up.

Khaled had answered the call by arriving with his partner in two black SUVs with tinted windows. The men were instructed to get in as they were taken to the location of the project. Khaled introduced himself to Yerkes personally, and then continued on with details.

"This project is to see how we are going to take battle prep to the next level. We will be taking 4D images from satellites stationed across the globe, and prepare a universe exactly like our own. From there, battle techniques will be enhanced as allies can place their military units into a video game simulator. We will have large cooridors that will have lines that will position the soldiers into the battle simulator. There will be no respawns. Each soldier will not be so bold as to treat this as a game as each will be delivered a knock out shock to the back of the spine that will not the unconscious and will allow for us to remove them from the game. With your skills, we hope to make this project more advanced, more realistic, and allow for people who are allies to test their strengths against one another and train each others troops to prepare for the wars ahead. It is the future of war simulations, and we wish for you to help ud headline it."

The SUVs stopped, and those packed inside removed themselves from the car and a large, outstretched warehouse armed to the teeth with soldiers and patrol. Khaled nodded towards the building.

"The structure has cemented cealing for bomb raids, a 5 mile civilian clearance radius as well as military outposts surrounding. This is for protection of our soldiers while they are in the simulator. For safety procautions, there is an emergency ejection that will immediately free the soldiers of the alternate universe effects and allow for one or even all of them to be released at the same time. In the next year or so, one of these warehouses will be stationed at each training camp in Carthage, along with smaller stations made for police forces and special unit divisions. What we need from you is to update and upgrade the software. We are limited in resources, but you have some of the more brilliant minds and we would gladly accept any help you are willing to give or even advice. "

The group listened to Khaled outline the project, and after he finished, Yerkes gestured to Kenny. "I'll take a look at your software. I'm sure I'll find something to spruce it up a bit." He said confidently. Jack also leaned forward and addressed Khaled.

"From what I understand, you intend to plug your soldiers into a VR training sim. What kind of machines are you using to hook the soldiers up to the machine?" Jack asked.

"Our hardware is classified. Suffice it to say that the machines are in no need of replacement, upgrades, or external overview. Your job here is to make the program and rest assured that our equipment will be able to handle whatever you throw at it." One of the engineers of the machines was represented at the conference, a Mr. Lelon (pronounced ley-on) who was there only by virtue of having his plane that was to fly him out of the country for his vacation hit a flight of birds.

Jack shot Lelon an "I would very much like to cut you up and use your organs for science" look, and leaned back. At the same time Kenny leaned forward. "So, what do you want me to do exactly? Program the simulation from scratch? Debug it? Test firewalls? What am I supposed to be doing?" He asked.

"Our current program isn't particularly complete, but the shell is there. The basics of what needs to be done is all laid out, blah blah blah, just build off of that. Submit reports and duplicate copies, and everything you touch will be automatically logged. Got it?" Lelon smiled at Jack's look.

Khaled looked over at Lelon, and then to Jack. He then stated,

"Our hardware is working fine. We have rows of established machines that are prepared to link up with the human's consciousness. We can allow for soldiers to perform mass field exercises. Virtual environments work well in military applications. When well designed, they provide the user with an accurate simulation of real events in a safe, controlled environment. So far we are unable to provide a real enough experience where the virtual reality completely affects the soldier. How can we alter the program visually considering that glasses projecting the landscape do not seem to work?"

Khaled walked over to one of the machines, sat down in it. The second he slipped his hands into the gloves, his feet were placed on a mat infront of him. A helmet was placed over the head with a visor that wrapped around the helmet coming down. A microphone, vents on the back rest, as well as the seat had turned on. The seat pushed off and brought Khaled to a standing position. He kneeled, and the mat came upward to bring him into a kneeling position.

"We have tried closed rooms, and they seem to look great. It is the open landscape where most of the battles will be fought that seem to lag and not be able to perform. Understandable this is a technical problem. The other, we apparently cannot control the environment. We need a computer that can alter the weather, add nuclear weapons, as well as other WMDs. Is there anyway you could design a computer that can be added to the network to perform these tasks?"

He clicked a button and the machine returned him to sitting position. He looked at Wallace Yerkes and smiled,

"We need every single weapon that would be used by a soldier and place them in the environment. From crowbars, to torpedoes, to EMPs."

(O0C:Sorry RL got me sidetracked.)
IC:Yerkes looked at Kenny. Kenny looked back at him, grinned, and cracked his knuckles. "I think I can help out a bit in that regard. Not too shabby when it comes to design work. I've made a few VR sims myself, though not on this scale. Regardless, I look forward to the challenge and I'm positive I'll get you results. Now, when do we start?"
