Diadochoi Military Leader Executed

Early today the nation was shocked to hear of the death of Commander Andrei Sergeyev, who was in command of military forces fighting rebel Imperialists in the town of Yevemensk. According to official reports, Sergeyev was dragged from his advance encampment by Imperialists, while most or all of his soldiers were either away or asleep. Those who did see him were apparently killed silently, as evidenced by bullet wounds found in some soldiers' bodies which were shot by a (likely) silenced Tokarev. When they discovered what happened, Sergeyev's troops retaliated in anger, destroying much of the Imperial resistance in Yevemensk. They did not find Sergeyev alive; they found his body, strapped down with metal to the bottom of a large metal tub full of water. It was apparent that the Imperialists had executed him in this way by drowning.

"He was too young to die so soon." sobbed his mother, who then became furious. "I hope all who did this to him burn in a hundred hells of agony."

"This is a terrible blow to us all," Gena Korsunsky, premier of Diadochoi, said to reporters in a press conference. "Sergeyev was young and had a promising career ahead of him, and the manner in which he was executed is simply awful and inhumane. This puts into perspective the kind of animal we are dealing with in this war. Let it be known to all Imperialists watching this that Sergeyev will be avenged, for even though he is in heaven looking down upon us, he remains forever in the hearts of all true Diadochoians."

that would be most excellent. at the moment 1400 troops and 10 tanks are moving to take an Imperialist fortification near Yevemensk. We expect heavy resisitance. If your men could join us in the attack we would be most grateful, it would greatly decrease our casualties.

The Church condemns this execution and hopes that the conflict is resolved soon.

OOC: Ok, what is Bump supposed to mean anyway?

EDIT: Misread something. Edited to make sense.

OOC: Just one hint we don't 'bump' threads here and even if we did not after half an hour.

OOC: i've seen it done loads of times so i thought it was not against the rules. thanks for the heads up.

OOC: Thats good and all, but uh....where's Yevemensk?

OOC: a town somewhere near the centre of Diadochoi

we believe it had been. with (we believe) the last of the Imperialist forces defeated or captured in the Battle of Golom Heights. The battle cost us over 900 lives, but it cost them over 1500 and the war. hopefully we've seen the last of the Imperialists. A commemorary statue of Sergeyev was erected in the slowly rebuilding Yevemensk, and we have captured the person we believe responsible for the uprising.
