All systems are go based on the plans that we managed to retrieve from the Jeju-do Weapons Research Complex." "Very good. Begin test at will." "At once." A siren blared as a lone missile silo opened up and exposed its precious cargo. "Begin testing of the Ulsan Project." The timer counted down. Silence struck the room as the counter reached zero. Then a large eruption occurred as the missile shot up. Some ten minutes later, a large flash, a boom, and a brilliant red mushroom cloud showed them what they wanted to see. Korea was nuclear once more. [Public] New Hansong, Empire of Korea This afternoon at roughly 4:45 PM, Imperial scientists and weapons experts launched a nuclear weapons test within the Empire. The already desolate island of Jeju-do, the former home of the Old Empire's most prominent weapons research complex, was targeted by a test nuclear warhead that detonated successfully. Radiation cleanup crews have already taken to cleaning up the area surrounding the island so that there will be very little after effect. OOC: Bought my Manhattan Project today. The Empire is nominally neutral in all global affairs and shall remain so. However, we shall use our nuclear weaponry for the defense of the Empire and for the defense of the Empire only. We will not use them in preemptive strikes but will retain the ability to use them in the event that the Empire is beset upon by enemy hordes.
