It's one of the few things I can do while listening music and it gives me an excuse to write, so I often enjoy it once I get started. However, it takes time and gives inconsistent rewards. Usually you get no replies. Sometimes you'll get a few replies. Eventually, you'll get a solid applicant. Every once and a while you'll get an applicant that's extremely interested in the game, unusually intelligent, or otherwise remarkable. I don't mind the people that put aid into context or seem too new to realize that alliances offer more than aid. "I am interested in Vanguard but want to make sure that I will grow at a reasonable rate after joining" is fine. "You fail because you didn't tell me your sign on bonus" is not.
