The rift was created, and on that day, the Ori were born. But the hatred of those who strayed from the true path festered and bloomed in the dark corners of the Avernakis to which they have been cast! It is time to cast aside the shackles of the past and embrace the destiny that has been laid before you. Your people are all children of the Ori, open your eyes and your minds and follow the one true path of Origin. All those that follow the Ori shall be raised up high, they shall ascend and join the Ori on the plains of enlightenment. Do not be ignorant and shun the plain truth before you; embrace the Ori and join their Holy Empire. Fear not, the Ori do not require blind obedience. They will forgive transgressions and provide for their followers, the Book of Origin says: "So it came to pass that Ver Omesh was gripped by a great famine. So Markon went to the Prophet Articus and asked to go to the forest for food. The prophet bade him be patient, for the Ori provide for all who have faith. But Markon did not believe. So the prophet drew a line in the sand and told him, 'step across and you may do as you wish.' So Markon did and left the village and feasted on wild berries.The fruit was bitter. It did not satisfy him. He longed to return to the village, but found that the line had widened to a great chasm. He called out to the Prophet in fear, but the Prophet said, 'The line has not changed; it is you who have changed. Step across if you truly believe' So Markon prayed for forgiveness and took the first step and the hands of the Ori enveloped all those who welcomed him back." The Empire has need of true followers of the Ori's divine will. The Empire offers opportunities to become Administrators over groups of nations, supervising their rulers; or to become Commanders in charge of a portion of the Ori's holy army. For those of you willing to tread the path of Origin more fully there is the opportunity to become a Prior of the Ori, spreading the word of Origin out amongst the stars and taking command of groups of Commanders in times of war. Of course, simply joining the Empire is entering the service of the Ori and you will be provided for. "Egidius of Valdair needed to speak things that could only be spoken in the light of the fire."
