Euphaia
*The Euphaian government's private jet lands on the runway at the airport in the Stormland's capital and comes to a stop. Several moments later, the Euphaian Secretary of State would disembark from the jet and be escorted by a Stormland diplomat to a car in a Stormland envoy. As the two diplmats enter the car and sit down, the Euphaian Secretary of State would greet the Stormland diplomat.* Secretary of State: Good afternoon, sir, it's nice to see you again. I only wish we could've met under less stressful pretenses, but alas, these are the times that we are in. As I am sure you have read reports on, a big nuisance that your country dealt with and knew very, very well, has recently been revived and has recently joined forces with a growing nuisance in my country of Euphaia. As you also know, the People's Revolution is putting a very large strain on our economy and is straining our monetary reserve, police force, and military to their limits. With the remnants of FARC, ELN, and the Sandinista National Front joining the membership of the People's Revolution, as well of smuggling large shipments of arms into our country, and our military already divided between monitoring large daily protests that range between 40,000 to 50,000 citizens and the ongoing battle for control in the city of Monternia, well... that battle's intensity has pretty much doubled in the last 12 hours. We are on the verge of being driven from the city and losing control of it to the insurgents. If that happens, it's almost assured they will launch an assault on a larger city, probably one as big as 30,000 to 40,000 total citizens. We can't let that happen, but without some aid, it's a real possibility. Unfortunately, with all our available monetary reserve being poured into our military, police force, and paying to retain the help of a PMO, we cannot currently afford to pay for any aid, though once this insurgency has been put down and our economy has rebounded, we'd have no problem paying for any aid at that time. Would the Stormlands be willing to send any aid in the way of military rifles, grenades, humvees, JLTVs, light tanks, Cobra helicopters, or Apache helicopters, to help squash this mutual pest before they cause any more trouble or damage to either of our governments? Ten Apaches or Cobras, 20 light tanks, and 100 humvees or JLTVs should be enough to push the insurgent back out of Monternia and ensure they can't successfully assault any other cities. Also, if your nation would be willing to sell, rent, or license the blueprints to any of these to our government, we could begin manufacture of these ourselves, as well. TheShammySocialist
Rhaemon Rhys'gar would greet the Euphaian diplomat at Stahel International Airport, having been dispatched on the behalf of the High Council to take care of this sudden diplomatic visit. Unaccustomed to typical diplomatic meetings, Rhaemon would sit quietly as the Euphaian made his case to the Stormlander, the SUV they were sitting in not moving from its place on the tarmac. "The Stormlands' Council of Shields and High Council send their regards Mr. Secretary, but they're very reluctant to relay equipment to an embattled regime, when we cannot guarantee the stability of your nation. The retreat of your military forces in the face of a rebel group makes the situation very delicate and intricate, and I'm afraid we cannot allow for the transfer of military weaponry. That said, we are very concerned about the situation on the ground in Euphaia, and therefore, the Stormlands will be taking steps to support your government in our own way. The Council of Shields have approved steps to be taken to suppress these rebel groups, and these steps will begin over the next twenty four hours," stated Rhaemon, in a curt sounding voice. Euphaia
Yes, the retreat from Monternia was indeed unfortunate, However it is jus a temporary strategic retreat to a few miles out of town, while that brigade assigned to the defense of Monternia regroups and reorganizes. Since FARC has merged with them, People's Revolution has had a surge in its ranks and it's supplies. They also seem better trained and less prone to flee or retreat. I suppose such is to be expected though, with FARC's experience and leadership. The military brigade will be re-entering Monternia again shortly, I have been informed, and with no more civilians inside the town to worry about, I am most certain they will have an easier time retaking Monternia. I am confident there will not be another falling back. While our government is open to the Stormlands military striking insurgents that cross over into the Stormlands, as well as limited strikes on our own soil, I must stress that any strikes that take place on our soil must have express permission from and with notification given to the Euphaian government, and that every precaution be taken not to harm any Euphaian military soldiers or innocent Euphaian civilians. To do otherwise would be both an infringement of our sovereignty and a breach of international law. Thank you for your time, Coumsilor Rhys'gard. Euphaia
*as the Euphaian ambassador rises to leave, he adds.* I have also been instructed to say that the Euphaian government has pre-authorized the Stormlands to send up to 100 peacekeepers into Euphaia, on a temporary limited time basis, if your government so wishes to do so. Please notify the Euphaian government first, if you do.
Euphaia
*there is a rap on the door to Rhys'gar's office at the Euphaian embassy, and a second later, the receptionist opens the door.* Rhys'gar: Yes, what is it? Receptionist: The Euphaian ambassador is here to see you, sir. Rhys'gar: Fine, fine. Let him in, please. *A moment later, the Euphaian ambassador enters into the office.* Rhys'gar: Please, be seated. Ambassador: Thank you, Rhaemon. *The Euphaian ambassador takes a seat.* Rhys'gar: What is it I can help you with today? Ambassador: I have been sent to reassure you, and the Stormlands government, that so long as we are in power...and we have every intention of making that quite a long time...that we will make sure that no FARC-PR bandits--at least the ones that are currently here on Euphaian's soil--will never be able to cross into Stormland's territory. You have President Jarris', the Secretary of State's, and the Secretary of Defense's solemn words on that. The Euphaian government sincerely values the mutual friendship and the mutual trust that it shares with the Stormlands, and vows to maintain that friendship and trust to the very best of it's abilities. There is no need for the Stormlands to worry; our government will snuff out this infernal insurrection. It just takes some time and a little patience. Euphaia
(OOC Geez, if you're going to be all uptight about that bare minimum, that adds to the flow of the RP, than fine, I won't. Ideally didn't think that you would be upset with that little bit of harmless fluff text, though. I'll respect your wish though. :) Sorry, didn't mean to rant at you like that. Apologies.) Lynneth
[OOC: Euphaia, it's an established rule in this RP forum that under no circumstances is a player permitted to RP another person's anything. Characters, population, etc. It's completely off-limits. Not RPing someone else's characters is just common courtesy. It's not being uptight. ]
Triyun
OOC: Actually the rules say no such thing. According to the rules we're in fucking Soviet Russia. Can I pay another person's characters?

Euphaia
(OOC - I didn't know it was off-limits to do even minor fluff RP with another's character. I was just trying to make my RP a bit more 'organic'. I apologize again, then.)
