Voodoo Nova
OOC: Considering the mess of a RP that became after this post, Amyante and I decided to mutually restart from this point in a new thread. Any actions taken after this post in the original thread by either of us are null/void.
After receiving reports of Novakian soldiers in the Xinyan Republic, a brief and non-covert investigation was carried out. At learning that the Novakians were keeping the peace in Hulunbuir's New Barag Right Banner, a message was sent out to Novak itself.
From: Lu Gang, Zargathia To: Akhmed Shakir, Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the SSRN Subject: New Barag Right Banner, formerly known as the Xinyan Republic. Dear Chairman, It has come to our attention that the former government of the Xinyan Republic has recently transferred control of its territory over to your forces. However, they would have been unable to do so. As mentioned in Clause II of the New Barag Independence Accord, the territory would revert back to Zargathia in the event the Xinyan Republic would fall. As the governor of Inner Mongolia, the task of ensuring this clause is properly executed would be mine. How would you propose we see to this little problem? Looking forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience, Lu Gang, Crown Prince of Zargathia

From: Ministry of Foreign Affairs To: Lu Gang, Zargathia Subject: Re: New Barag Right Banner, formerly known as the Xinyan Republic. Dear Crown Prince Lu Gang, When the government of Xinyan Republic came to us regarding protecting their land, they did not fall. They merely transferred sovereignty and protection to our nation. Our history in East Asia has produced a number of successful states, namely in Burma and in Vietnam. We intend to protect this land until a new nation wishes to form or another reasonable settlement is made. You are invited to attend a meeting in Novak with Srant Mali regarding this and other issues relating to Asia. Amyante
From: Mr. Sherouk, Foreign Affairs Officer, Novak To: Lu Gang, Zargathia Subject: Re: New Barag Right Banner, formerly known as the Xinyan Republic. Dear mr. Sherouk, Unfortunately, the government of the Xinyan Republic was not authorized to give away their land without our express consent, as per the terms and conditions under which they were given autonomous control of the New Barag Right Banner of Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia, Zargathia. Due to this violation of terms, their autonomy would have been voided, again rendering them unable to transfer control of their nation to Novak. Let it be noted that we have nothing against your nation, and it was partially due to your history in East Asia that we decided to pursue a diplomatic solution to this problem. We accept your offer to attend a meeting, and for the purposes of information have enclosed a copy of the treaty and the related discussion that gave the government of the Xinyan Republic autonomous control of the territory. Please keep in mind that while the treaty is considered public, the discussion logs are not, therefore we will have faith in your discretion on the matter. Kind regards, Lu Gang Governor of Inner Mongolia, Crown Prince of Zargathia
Attached to the mail were the conversational logs and treaty, as announced in the letter. Amyante
Due to some ongoing matters the Zargathians were unable to schedule any meetings until next week, but at the agreed upon time a Zargathian ship was requesting permission to enter a Novakian harbor. Going by the name and registry it carried the Zargathian delegation that was to attend the meeting, in this particular case Queen Amyante and Fleet Admiral Sigrún Mäkinen. Amyante
The ship docked at the agreed upon pier, and after several minutes during which the ship was safely moored the Zargathian delegation made their way to Novakian soil. It would not be long before the meeting would be getting underway, and despite her efforts at the contrary the Queen couldn't help but feel a little tense over the whole situation. Amyante
Amyante sat down after greeting the Minister. - "Well, the matter which we would like to discuss is the situation regarding the former Xinyan Republic, or more specifically the currently ongoing confusion concerning this area. Before we begin though, we would like to hear your view on the matter."
