The major problem with this is that although they can choose who they like and want to defend, there is no "legitimate" way that those friends can help them.
Great way to put them in the position of forcing this policy on them as well since they'd have to "Moldavi" (for lack of a better term) their way into any defense of you.
I'm glad you guys are following your muse and all but you've done nothing but make the political realities more difficult for your "friends" through selfishness.
I don't get it.
Anyone has the right to defend their friends in times of war. Just like anyone can aid and trade with whoever they like.
We are not forcing anyone to go the same route as us. We are taking control of our alliance and FA the WE feel we should, not the way CN thinks we should.
There is no law stating that we MUST be treatied by a piece of paper to be able to defend our friends or vice versa.

I therefore conclude that Gramlins can not/will not (based on this announcement) come in on TPF/IRON and any/all of IRON's allies side (multiple degrees of separation) for this war on any front.
The only way Grams will now come in on this war now is if TPF/IRON and her side DoW on one of Gramlins allies on Athens/RoK's side.
Please correct me if I'm wrong...but essentially TPF/IRON's side do not have the military support of Grams.
That's one way to look at it

The friendship and respect that we hold for the MCXA is in no way affected by this and all those that wish undue harm to our former treaty partners should know that we will not stand for that with or without a piece of paper. As a demonstration of this I am pledging the reputation and infra of my nation that I will do everything in my power to make sure that the MCXA are treated fairly whatever the outcome this war.

Don't mean to be critical, oh well I will be, but for younger nations this isn't as appealing as it sounds. Having been in the Citadel Trading Company, for like two days, I have to say it saps the life out of your zeal to play. Is 3 months of endless tests and just selling tech worth it?
Take it as you will.
The Hive is not a tech farm, Tech will be sold to help the members grow and it is more a training ground.
If a Hive members grows well and learns alot but does not make it to the Grämlins then they are still better for they have learnt alot of things and can use those things later in their CN career.
