  1. The government structure you've described, Mandrivia, is very, very similar to the framework we employ in Vanguard, as described in The Document. The only exception is your positions of Co-Premiers, which I find entirely unnecessary, unless the alliance is of colossal proportions. An efficient 'Emperor' and 'Regent' should easily be able to handle the duties you've listed for the Premiers.

That's what I thinking of when I wrote that, that the alliance would be quite large. Other wise you could just have 1 premier or just have the regent in charge of the ministry.

  2. I, as well as probably many others have seen alliances doomed to fail because of their kind of government. Some kinds are democratic and slow, and the leaders have almost no power except when the alliance votes, or the alliance is overly authoritarian. What do you believe is the best kind of government that would be as efficient and effective as possible, and detail it. There is no right or wrong answer. Here is mine:

Mine would be something like semi-constitutional monarchy, for want of a better term.

The Emperor/Chancellor/president or whatever other name this guy has: He is the head honcho of the alliance. He runs for life unless he resigns or is impeached. He has the power to lay down his rule, issue executive orders, and veto votes performed by the body republic of the alliance that have passed with less than a 75% majority.

The Regent: He steps in for the emperor should he leave, and/or take his position if he never comes back. The regent is chosen if he is a well-known and contributing member of the alliance. He works together with the premiers to help with the ministry, as well as any other tasks delegated to him by the emperor.

    The Ministry:

The Co-Premiers: Both have the same powers and both are in charge of the cabinet, or the ministry. The first Premier oversees all internal matters, while the second, external. For example, the internal premier handles the department of recruitment, internal affairs, and finance. The external premier handles the foreign affairs and the communications department. Both handle the defence apartment.

Should the Emperor need information or give orders on a certain matter, he can talk to the respective Premier about it. They are the link between the executive cabinet and the emperor, as well as the body republic.

Minister of Foreign Affairs: diplomacy, the usual stuff.

Minister of Internal Affairs: Handles ghostsand members doing illegal actions.

Minister of Recruitment: Recruits members and puts them through the academy with the help of instructors.

Minister of Finance: Handles the bank and all other financial affairs, such as donation and tech deals as well as trades.

Minister of Communications: Writes up propoganda as well as images to advertise the alliance. Also designs medals. Must be good at drawing on the internet.

Minister of Defense: Organizes and orders the troops.

All of the Ministry MUST report to their superiors, whether their respective premier of the Emperor. Ministers are voted after they have been nominated by another member of the body republic for the election. The Premiers are appointed by the Emperor or Regent. Terms last for 2 full months.

Alliance council: Elected in the same way as minister, by nominations. They oversee any other operations needing to be done, as well as help with any member's concerns. They advise on legislation with the Ministry. There are 5 total members.

The Body Republic: Vote on issues unless the Emperor issues an executive orders. They also discuss issues and do whatever else alliance members do.

  3. I don't know what was more foolish - that those /b/tards actually did what they did, or that so many self-righteous softshells went and got offended because people posted shock on the Internet. There are certainly a lot more /b/tards, LUEsers, et al. on the Internet than there are those in the moral majority, and the fact that anyone expects the Internet to be a clean and friendly place is a very quaint and backwards little thing.

Very good point being made here, TBH. I of course don't condone their actions, but neither do I RP some guy with a carrot up my arse.

  4. MAX 2 MILL IN DAMAGES?

    I lost 450 infrastructure. That's a minimum of $46m + land / military costs.

    Stop trolling.

"(censored) you you (censored). Go (censored) a (censored)

    Now stop trolling me."

    *Censors put in by me.

Oh yeah, and I was exaggerating.

  5. Really people, leave EotRS alone. They were bound to enter the war because of their MADP with Mushroom Kingdoom, while at the same time thier forums are pretty much dead. They surrender with much losses, then after only a few days of 75 they were given to give reps they are attacked again, and harassed by other members on these forums. I see from Crowdog EotRS was not guaranteed surrender terms, so why bother? They're dead now, leave them be.

  6. Other than complain is GLOP planning on doing anything about this?

I doubt it. IAA is an undicisive alliance, but all the smaller alliances are afraid of them if they get into some kind of situation with them. I learned this from experience.

  7. ALL HAIL MARTENS THE MERCIFUL! Seriously, Have any of your been paying attention? Read the damn thread. Did any of you read the OP. Surrender terms WERE NOT MET WHEN THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE MET. That NULLS the Surrender. If then the Surrender is Nulled, that means that you are still in a state of War. Which means, if there is a war, NoV must protect themselves since breech of surrender terms IS considered an act of war.

So EoTRS committed and act of war by non-compliance to peace terms. I guess next time you bandwagon in a war you will make sure to not bite off more than you can chew.

MADP with MK. People should learn facts before just crying out "bandwagon!"
