  1. I've got a new job that will involve my getting up at 5AM every day, central time. That's in addition to my teaching duties. And my coaching duties. And my being a husband and a father. And trying to finish writing this dang ol' book on Mexico.

pssshhhh... what is this job i hear of? You seemed fine when I saw you the other day at the high school. :P

  2. At this point in time, I am pleased to end the viceroyship of BDC. While I wish it could have worked out better, I told them that if we couldn't turn things around, I would let them do as they wanted. I am a man of my word, and as such, have allowed them to form this group here. I apologize to them for not being as active as I thought I could be, but I am pleased this had a happy ending.

yes, dilber you are soo sexy!!!!!! Thx for all you did and imo, this couldn't have turned out better for us all. :D

  3. Out of curiosity, are the majority of new government members people who were part of the administration that condoned the spying, or are they mainly former government members that had since taken a less active position in alliance leadership?

FYI, the spying was orchestrated by one member, Black Dagger, and as such he is being ZI'd. The only mistake we the government made was let him back into the alliance without fully clearing it with NPO. We never said, "Zomg! Let's spy on teh NPO!" We had no reason to.

  4. Now, I haven't been over to your forums, so I don't know what you're using, but typically, the root account has unlimited powers over the forums and if the holder of the account goes rogue, you can't do anything about it. However, with Invisionfree at least, you can mark an administrator account as having root powers, giving them elevated access and powers over a normal administrator. The difference between a root admin and normal admin is slight, mainly in that you need another root admin to deadmin them and there's no way to restrict their access, but as long as you have the root account, you can stop any rogue root admin.

We run IPB 2.3.3 and it's really simple to just add and remove an account to the root user group if you're a root yourself or if you have database access.
