Ironic that you're fighting so badly against The Shadowhood, yet to your allies, a one man alliance doesn't equate to an alliance at all.
To me a one man alliance does not equate an alliance. But to the Shadoehood it cleary does thus they announced a formal declaration of war. Not my fault they did that.

Technically, a one man alliance isn't even considered an alliance in my book. Larger alliances agree with me - having something in the AA when it's still just you by yourself is just hiding the fact that you are still a none. So basically, you are opened to tech raiders 24/7.

Stupiest diplomatic moves normally include your alliance getting beat down into nothingness.
This individual took sides. Vocally. Trying to lend support to the GOONS via propoganda. This declaration of war is symbolic (for now). You want to stay nuetral, stay nuetral, in every aspect.
Yes and you will get your alliance stomped to nothingness for this act of foolishness. Its one thing to take someone down if you feel they have insulted your alliance in peace time but to hit a nuetral alliance in the middle of a great war breaking out is just plain stupid. Now every nuetral that has an opinion that this is stupid might as well join in against you because you will attack them anyway. Attacking nuetrals is just plain foolish, but you will soon find that out, no doubt.

I am not goint to flame NPO here and I am sorry others have. NPO has alwasy stood for something agree or disagree with them they have always stood buy allies. That bought them a great deal, when they needed FAN dealt with we were thier, when Electron Spounge joined with Ivan to coup the NPO it was the allies you now abandon that stood by you. Maybe Ivan was corrent when he said the NPO was not what it once was, what I see here today shows the NPO of old is no more. I for one will miss it.

I dont know what the Shadowhead is but they have just attacked a nuetral in the middle of a great war. This will last in history as one of the stupist diplomatic moves in the middle of a war ever. I mean really The Shadowhead could not find say an alliance that is involved in the war. I guess you can say you were in the war, just not fighting any of the enemy.

The Phoenix Federation declares The Osirian Compact are newest protectorate. It has been a long time coming.
The Preamble:In their desire for furthering friendship, security, and peace The Phoenix Federation and the
agree that The Osirian Compact become a protectorate of The Phoenix Federation.
Article I:
The Phoenix Federation and The Osirian Compact agree to treat each other with respect and friendship at all times and invite each other to hot tub parties. The Osirian Compact will have full access to The Phoenix Federation hot tubs.
Article II:
The Phoenix Federation and The Osirian Compact will consider any attack on one as an attack on the other. If The Phoenix Federation should conduct an offensive war The Osirian Compact is not required to aid The Phoenix Federation unless they so choose to after a request from The Phoenix Federation. The Osirian Compact will not conduct any offensive war without the approval of The Phoenix Federation. If The Phoenix Federation approves of an The Osirian Compact offensive war The Phoenix Federation will provide whatever level of aid it so chooses.
Article III:
If The Osirian Compact requests it, The Phoenix Federation will provide a small number of advisors in military, trade and economic areas.
Article IV:
The Phoenix Federation and The Osirian Compact agree to share intelligence on potential threats to either alliance. The Phoenix Federation and The Osirian Compact agree to keep any intelligence shared confidential if so requested.
Article V:
The Phoenix Federation will in no way interfere in The Osirian Compact internal affairs. The Osirian Compact will clear all treaties with other alliances with The Phoenix Federation. The Osirian Compact can also request The Phoenix Federation use its larger diplomatic corps to assist it in diplomatic matters.
Article VI:
All The Osirian Compact nations will place "Protectorate of The Phoenix Federation" in their nations bios so that friends and enemies alike will know The Osirian Compact is under the protection of The Phoenix Federation.
Article VII:
The Osirain Compact will support TPF senate canidates.
Article VIII:
Either The Phoenix Federation or The Osirian Compact can cancel this agreement at anytime, with the protectorate becoming void 48 hours after both alliances are notified.

An entire alliance can't be held accountable for the actions of a few idiots. I'm checking out Genmay's war slots and it looks like a bunch of your members tech raid nations in alliances (besides BOTS that is).

Yes yes, and all of this should clearly lead to a war and I am sure the guy who made that decision can now say it was absolutely worth it. If war was declared every time there was a delayed response to rogue attacks, Planet Bob's times of peace would be rarer then it already is.

I don't know. FAN attacked an NPO protectorate and that turned out well for them, didn't it?
To make it similar you would have had to have NoV raiding FAN and then 2 weeks of negotiating where NPO said they had no control over NoV and NoV refused to stop.

The spirit of WUT has long been dead, I hate to tell you. Disregarding treaties and their consequences without consulting others tends to put a hamper on the whole "Establishment of Unity" thing as well. I think the NPO might've liked to know that another WUT Signatory was going to be indirectly attacking their longest and closest ally.
Wow I had no idea NPO and BoTS went so far back.
