  1. I currently have two slots. I'd like to conduct two tech deals as follows:

    1) First 10 days, I send you 3,000,000.

    2) 10 days later, you send me 50 tech.

    3) 10 days later, you send me 50 more.

    4) We both walk away smiling and satisfied.

If interested, PM me in game.

  2. Thank you for your well wishes- TOP really is something special.

We feel the loss each and every time a member comes or goes from our alliance. Admissions feels like an alliance wide affair at times. After my experiences elsewhere, I feel its safe to say that Paradoxia is one of the elite alliances in this game.

    To another year of Paradoxia!

    Paradoxia Vult!

    Johan Vult!

  3. Welcome to the Continuum.

Ladies and gentlemen, when you confront the largest stockpile of nuclear weapons in the Cyberverse- you get burned. Let this be a lesson to alliances who would defy us. We do not sleep. We do not back down. We cannot be intimidated. Our nations have been built for the sole purpose of warfare and our alliances are perpetually ready. Did you really think that we fear nuclear conflict? On the contrary, we expect nuclear conflict and hope that you are foolish enough to bring it to us. To quote our war hero ChefJoe: "The only thing I cannot buy is causalities."

    You will receive no mercy!

    Johan Vult!

    Paradoxia Vult!

  4. Leader/Triumvirs: Crymson (Quite possibily the most underrated figure in Cybernations)

    Minister of Defense: Diskord, Chefjoe

    Minister of Foreign Affairs: Philosopher

Minister of Internal Affairs: Bakunin's Dream, (DAC)Syzygy

Minister of Finance: Emperor Charles IV

I'm not sure any of these choices require explanation. I think EmperorCharles may be debated although I can say that many of my own banking concepts were inspired by his thinking. Charles first came up with many of the schemes alliances still use today. The NADC banking system was, in my personal opinion, a well oiled machine that could out preform the best of them.

Crymson may also be debated. Having known him for quite some time, Crymson is one of the most patient, intelligent people who play this game. As a leader he is rock solid and is therefore the cornerstone of my "fantasy government".

  5. Arguing in this thread serves no point:

    1) There was no reason to create this thread instead of responding to the other one.

    2) There are pretty much only 3 kinds of people posting in this thread: Ephriam's allies who will believe whatever he says and think that everything against him is doctored without any proof. Jderge's allies/Ephriam's enemies who believe that Ephriam's logs are doctored without any proof. And Disjointed observers who believe whoever put forth the last piece of evidence. None of these people can be convinced of anything.

    3) No matter who wins this "argument" or "characterization" or "smear campaign", it makes no difference as to the current war nor the MDP web, so I don't see much of a point in continuing.

You've forgot the fourth group, the silent majority who think this is all nonsense. At the end of it all, the role this conflict will have played in global politics is minute. However, in our over-complicated power entanglement of an MDP web, this is what passes as entertainment.

  6. It had become clear in recent weeks that our protectorate with Alpha Omega had run its course.

This treaty reestablishes the relationship our two alliances hold. I hope we may continue to grow both in strength and friendship.

    o/

  7. Why do people sign more treaties than what they require for adequate protection?

I used to think we had made a sad MDP web... this is just ridiculous. Thanks to Sharpe for pulling this off. It takes a Gramlin :P

  8. Buying a donation for April and as well as May if anyone is interested. Name your price, but I suggest PM'ing my nation.

Also, I'm willing to send out 5 slots of aid, but I refuse to find middle men. Thanks

  9. I send a lot of aid[1] to my Alliance but I anyway voted individualism, because I like the word more...

I do Tech Deals as seller, with preference for my Alliance.

[1] To be more accurate, I put ~35,000,000 in my Alliance this far that, for a Nation of the size/age of mine (~16k, 327 days), I think is pretty much aid.

Pretty foolish. If you didn't stunt your own growth, you could be moving 15,000,000 every 10 days by now.

  10. This government bears a striking resemblance to the last government Emperor Charles. In fact all appear to be your hand-picked appointees... running the government by proxy will not wash.

Grub, I'm not impressed. Nor is anyone else.

What do you want him to do? Perhaps construct a government of complete strangers to run an alliance? In turn, will the NpO become angered that payment of reparations are slow and rehash the war?

    "Tick Tock"

Why are you threatening an already conquered alliance? To look tough? To impose your will upon the NADC? I'm just full of questions! If you plan on complaining about their government, why don't you install a Viceroy?

To respond to your half page post (most of which is confusing at best):

You've clearly misinterpreted history. Which is sort of hard to believe, considering you were directly involved. You see, the story was put forward that Otto Van Bismark was the cause of problems. It was under the leadership of Emperor Charles (after the failed Coup De Tat) that the NADC was given peace. I mean, you've been attacking them verbally with no grounds. If you're intent on attacking them, you might as well do it. I don't think anyone is really fooled...

I remember when you used to be cool. You sold out man.

The truth is that Charles is a victim of his alliances poor positioning; his policy of independance cost him a great deal of hard work. All attempts to demonize the man are infact futile and at this point pathetic.

  11. Not really Ski, we just wish to make it clear that this is our little venture and that we'd be pretty grateful if folks left it well enough alone.

The CTC was never intended to be something that shifted the known paradigms on Planet Bob, just a place for safe and simplified trade. We, being honorable and well intentioned folks, felt it was of paramount importance to ensure that applicants weren't duped in any way into thinking that the CTC was anything other than an extended business contract - No treaties, no meaningful discussions, no meritorious promotions, no appointed promotions, no real influence in CTC affairs outside of their own personal dealings and little to no democracy. While the CTC can be a very relaxing and pleasurable place to be a member of, even the most despotic of alliances has better democratic tendencies than this.

It was this view that was the thrust of the bolded text in our announcement, which was addressed to perspective applicants. "Please be aware that the CTC is not an alliance as you may know it, it is a business enterprise and will be very different internally from alliances you may be familiar with". I certainly felt when writing parts of the draft announcement that this was the sentiment implied clearly, however it seems that our earnest attempt to be honest and open to the unaligned of Planet Bob was somehow misconstrued.

If people feel comfortable calling the CTC a business venture, then that's just super.

If people feel comfortable calling the CTC an alliance, then by all means do so.

If people feel comfortable calling the CTC a wonky air hockey table, then that also is acceptable.

So long as folks realize that we ain't out to cause trouble and also know that the CTC is The Citadel's protected business venture, alliance and/or wonky air hockey table.

Should there be any true issue, both now and in the future, in regards to the CTC then our friends will find us most amicable to reasoned suggestions made to us via private channels, just as we have always been.

    That was my take, anyhow.

    Someguy, I'm impressed.

Mr. Ski, I find it troubling that you never have anything nice to say about our league of Paradoxians, or the Citadel in general. I'd like to know who hurt you, so I can give you a hug, and prevent them from repeating it.

  12. Now I'm curious as multiple perma zi spies have fled to CTC in the past, what security measure are you taking to prevent massively aiding less than honorable players?

This question is absolutely rediculious for more than one reason.

First off, do you honestly think that some of the best connected alliances in the game would aid "Perma-ZI spies" (because there are so many of them around).

Second off, I imagine we'd be checking the ZI lists of major alliances. The FBI said they were too buisy to handle our stuff.

  13. So now we shall show them the other hand of CIS it carries not an olive branch but 5 arrows.

The nations of the FPI tremble in anticipation of the five arrows.

*Note: Was the 5 arrows a refrence to something? Or just an arbitrary number + arbitrary weapon?

  14. I hope there are "significant" in-game reasons for this. The DoW seems to hinge on the IRC conversation.

It seems irrational that this DoW stems from either:

    I) The inclusion of former \m/embers. (They're everywhere at this point)

II) The diplomatic directives of an alliance (Protectorate no less)

What I do know is that Mr. Lint has put a significant amount of time and energy into his political life. I'm not on terms with the rest of the FPI, but they seem like an ordinary bunch.

I've always been a defender of the FAN D-Day attack on NoV; no !@#$%^&*, no problems. This seems like an improper justification. Suddenly we can make fun of eating babies, but not epilepsy? Lets back off our triggers for a few moments gentlemen. The reasonable man agrees with this:

In character you have the abilities to do what you need to with in character matters. Out of Character you should not be policing others conversations just because you disagree with it. That's totalitarianism and defeating the point of a game.

In response to the "do something about it" challenge:

I submit, I will not. Nor will anyone else. However I have been provided with yet another example of the decline of national politics. Something about declaring war over a conversation outside of our realm of politics turns me the wrong way. It doesn't have the same ring as the masterful spins unleashed by Philosopher or the enraging speeches of Ivan Moldavi. If you're going to bring out the jackboot, please my friends, make it sound good.

What I wanted to know is, where in our DoW did we ask for your opinion, or stated that we cared what you thought of our CB? We merely posted so that you would have a tinsy clue as to what was going on...

FPI pissed us off, we are attacking them, end of story.

You see my friend, in this game, we issue declarations of war to appear honorable as an alliance. The masters use solid "CB" (The justification for war) to appear justified in their acts. Without this interaction process, Cybernations would be a very, very boring game. You asked for our opinion when you posted it on these forums. You can ignore the cries of the international community- someone will cry about everything. Yet, at least you posted about it.

The last bit concerns me. Diplomacy is the first answer in this game. War is less of an option and more of a boiling point. Examine the GPA conflict as a prime example. It took months, even years for that conflict to develop.

  15. Actually, Orange is wining because certain orange alliances spam links to this thread in their IRC channels, and post it on their forums, telling members to go vote for them, as if it's some world changing experience. That's what I meant when I said 'It's funny people take polls on the OWF so seriously.'

We have nothing better to do. These are the rewards of the entangled MDP web.
