    Let me preface this by saying that I do not intend this thread to troll any alliances that have surrendered. This is a serious question that I would like to hear some answers to. Feel free to answer or not to answer.

    The common thing with surrenders in this war, and with all wars in the past, is that the surrendering alliances always claim to have "learned from their past mistakes." My question is a simple one, what exactly is it that you feel your alliance has learned?

    you can't get casualties at 1k infra

    oh and whole your true friends are/who the treaty e-lawyering scumbags are :)

    Actually, Continuum did fail.

    The purpose of Continuum was to provide security for its member alliances. The fact that NPO and TPF are still being turned into cratered moonscapes, and most other former Q members are in the process of rebuilding from a disastrous war at the moment indicates to me that Continuum didn't work when it was needed to work.

    Well it provided that security for well over a year. Personally I think that all in all it was a successful bloc, despite how it ended.

    As necessary as this was, am sad to see this. Had some great times in this block.

    Also to those of you saying Continuum failed; as much as you may have disliked the bloc, it ruled the game for well over a year before choosing to break up. Hate em or love em, that's not a failure.

    No, Continuum as a bloc is what you are part of. Again, you are not an innocent ally dragged into this war. You are part of the core that caused it. But I realise why it is in your best interests to paint yourselves as unfortunate innocents. Sadly, some people are buying it.

    I don't really see what we did that was so evil this war, we just honoured our treaties. There's no spin there, it's just a plain cold fact.

    I guess this is a discussion for another time though :/

    For those of you who will respond with announcements of spectacular foresight saw this coming, that is a good trick because frankly I did not. I will consult you oracles when I determine what we are to do in future.

Failure to do so will result in every 5th poster in all future Polar threads to say either 'saw this coming', 'brilliant political move', or 'lines being drawn'. The oracle has spoken.

    Oinooink already tried that one in another thread. None of the Continuum are uninvolved alliances reluctantly dragged in via their treaties. You are part of the core of the Hegemony and therefore you should pay for what you have done both in the past and in this war.

    You trying to equate yourself with alliances like DOOM and SSSW18 is ridiculous but I understand why you try and do it. :P

    We were in this war due to honouring our treaties so my point still stands ;)

    You should have said "Pleasing to see alliances I like* who went to war via their treaties getting white peace."

    *I don't dislike would probably fit even better but it's not as much as a soundbite :P
