Oculus is barely statistically “winning” against the alliances it’s already fighting, and now the majority of your NS can’t touch Polar if they wanted to. That’s probably why you all have only managed 8 wars since this was posted, and your track record over the past few months doesn’t suggest that’s going to get much better.I get it, you need to cling on to this idea that Oculus can curb stomp anyone who gets out of line, but that’s just not the reality anymore, and tbh I’m really going to enjoy watching Polaris help prove that.

Honestly, congrats to KoRT. I know we’ve gone in very different directions, but I respect any alliance from our former sphere that can put its past behind and actively forge a new FA for today’s CN.

Yeah if you run any naval attack after doing battle support, the battle support gets lost. That includes battle support on another nation or blockades and destroy ships ops on anyone.
I think it's silly that it's like that, but it's not a bug.

I was spied once right after reset this morning, and then two more times just a little bit ago, even though there should have only been one more spy attempt allowed on me.
It doesn't mean anything for me since the last one failed, but I thought I'd report it anyway just to help out whoever might have lost a spy attempt that shouldn't have been allowed in the first place.

History from over a hundred years ago on a certain Other Planet has shown that multiple interlocking defense/aggression treaties, which are supposed to serve as a deterrent, instead make it so a minor conflict between groups that always hate each other will potentially inflame into a worldwide conflict that is very easy to start, but nearly impossible to stop.

Yeah, maybe they will. Probably not, but isn't that political uncertainty what's always been great about CN? You say this like it's a bad thing; like FTW should be threatened or anxious about Polar's independence and willingness to leave allies who don't have their best interests in mind. For me, though? I think that's fantastic. The challenge of needing to actually be a good and worthy ally is what's been missing in this game for years, and I'm really excited to have it back.

I actually reported this earlier in the war, and admin said it's a known issue, but that it shouldn't actually work if you try to click the button.
It would still be nice to have the message show consistently to prevent the inevitable confusion and concern when this happens. -
Yeah this is one of my favorite things that's come out of this war, up there with Piejonk's stats of course. It's the main thing I share with folks to show the state of the war. Awesome work.

Being outmatched? You had more tech and infra than Xander when you down declared on him, and that was your only active war to deal with. You had most statistical advantages except missing a few wonders that he has, and you did so poorly that you let him out of anarchy so he could declare more offensive wars on your former comrades; thanks for that btw. Xander is being nice because he's a kind person, but I would not be proud of a war like that if I were you.
You are incompetent and a coward, and you'll be lucky to find an alliance that accepts you after this.

Very interesting. Some tough competition on both sides, but I think ODN is indisputably the winner here, with (I believe) record lows in all 3 averaged categories. Congrats ODN on being the biggest dumpster fire!
As a side note, I'd be curious what it would look like to average the war scores for all members of each alliance, as well as to do a sort of war score for each alliance collectively that would be similar to the per member one, especially if there was a way to multiply it by the average score of the alliances each alliance is at war with. I don't think it would tell us a whole lot that these stats don't already show, but more data points are always fun lol.

Maybe I'm misreading it, but while the change seems to account for people who have only recently joined the war, it seems like it also penalizes people who have been "in the war" for a long time but haven't been fighting the entire time, right? If so, then I personally think it is a really good change to an already excellent formula.

It seems like CN's military activities have sped back up a lot too after having been very slow over the past week or so. Not sure if it was related but glad that it's fixed!

This is actually a really interesting way to view war stats, since you'd assume that most of these alliances built up a fair amount from the start of the year until the start of the war in late June. Basically, across the board, the entire world has lost almost a year's worth of nation building.
