All I hear from these arguments is huge nations crying over a tiny extra 2-4million profit for a seller nation and would rather generate exorbitant amounts of tech at the expense of the seller nations.

They're not really complaining about the price of tech, it's the speed of accumulation. A cash on delivery system would put this argument to bed.

Well the thing with both of them had a lot of people internally dealing, once they started growing out of that, it became a lot harder to continue high percentages and they stopped having them as high since it's really easy to do internal deals but not when you grow most out of seller range. Internal deals mean when one person sends two slots are filled in an alliance rather just one. Most people didn't want to stay sellers.  It's a lot of effort to find external sellers especially when often times they'll quit or be late.  DK was more successful at external buying than others with their Doommerce or whatever the name was  but it took a lot of effort and they were also paying  a higher rate and that rate ended up being eclipsed.

Doommerce had the same rate as interstellar, 12/300 15/300 18/300 depending on wonders. It can be a lot of effort but the pressure of running it can be lessened if some sellers voluntarily give out 400 instead 300 and/or there are tech banks giving out 600 while the official rate to buyers stays the same.

  3. After uploading alliance flags that contain a good amount of red; I have noticed they gain noise over the red.

It happened on one of our old flags that was nearly entirely red and it's now happening on ones that have corners that are red, can this be fixed? is it a bug?

  4. Going by the pic mean Aid not Trade, you have used all 5 of your Trade Sots. You have 6 Aid slots in total so unless you're trying to aid a blue nation (where you are currently sanctioned) this is either a bug or you clicked Trade instead of Aid.

  5. Foreign Ministry - $120,000.00 - Increases population income by 5%. Opens +1 extra foreign aid slot. Limit one foreign ministry per nation.

Harbor - $200,000.00 - Increases population income by 1%. Opens +1 extra trade slot. Limit one harbor per nation. This improvement may not be destroyed if it is supporting trade agreements or navy vessels until those trade agreements and navy vessels are first removed.

I'm guessing you are getting these two mixed up.

Just saw this. I'd like to see that documentation. You didn't state what bonus is applied.

I can see some issues with that due to external factors.

The problem with that is that it will force you to maintain infra for the sake of a growing land mass. Land automatically expands over time without purchasing, so that to maintain the bonus, it also forces you to spend on infra. Since the cost of infra also increases for each infra level you spend, you could easily overspend what you planned on due to the time it takes to collect in your budget. Ignoring it isn't going to be an issue when you can spend on the infra you want. If you ever want to buy more land at the same time, have at it as well. Either way, maintaining the bonus is going to suck the attention from you and your money to worry about that. Not to mention, events, wars, and trades also tip that balance. I don't see that is a viable, productive, or useful benefit.

I could have worded it better but you could also have just looked at the cn wiki. If your land isn't half of your Infra then you have -1 environment, so the land just needs to be half or more than your infra; it doesn't encourage you to buy more infra.

Unless Galerion gives me his word you're banned from the alliance, I think you're just ghosting to attack us

Junka's actions are his own, if Canik is happy to have him there I don't see a issue.

As for you wanting me to ban him from returning to ISX; you are in no position to dictate to me who I do or don't accept to ISX and if you decide to open yet another war front with ISX then more fool you.

Great guide, thanks for sharing.  I just want to comment on this section.

I get the first part....  (I've been doing it like this, so I pay bills w/ 5 labor camps, then on the date I decided to back-collect (I usually go more than 5 days), I destroy labor camps and replace w/ other, collect, then the same day re-buy labor camps).

I just don't get the second part of this.... why every 2 days?  Why not all at once?  Is this the remnant of when game rules were different?  If so, it should be updated (probably simply remove the entire second portion.

That last sentence is very misleading as well and should probably be omitted or rephrased.  If you are already back-collecting, there's no reason not to combine that with improvement swapping.  Sell x5, Buy x5, Collect, Sell x5, Buy x5 (every 10-20 days) is not that complicated.  That second portion (and last sentence) actually deterred me from doing improvement swapping when I was already back-collecting because it made it appear more complicated.

Also, it should be noted that the savings increase significantly as you grow bigger.

Not read this whole thread just what you've written and quoted, I agree it's badly written. What seem to be being suggested is to collect taxes with full econ improvement (no labor camps) for two days (collects could be on both of those days or together on the second) and after the collect on the second day purchase labor camps and pay the bills for those two days. If you were to wait to the third day you would be unable to swap in the labor camps to pay your unpaid bills as you can not make purchases if you have three days unpaid bills.

I can't see a reason to do this as a regularly thing though.

You may want to do it after a twenty day collect to increase your cash on hand but that would just mean you have a extra two days worth of money you wouldn't have for eighteen days, after those eighteen you have less cash on hand than you would have had if you had gone straight into another 20 day collect.
It probably comes down to if you think you are at risk of war but for efficiency just stick to 20 day collects.

it really does need explaining when someone (in your alliance!) has explicitly claimed there is an advisor position and junka is filling it

To expect a 39 day old nation who has been on the alliance 30 days to fully grasp all of the finer point of a AA's structure and operation is a bit much rey, I guess me expecting people here to look at things with some intelligence maybe a mistake though.

this is why you should come on and say stuff like this.

It really shouldn't need explaining, ISX has had a hierarchical structure for the last 2 years where the only signatures on treaties come from Emperor and Hand. So Emperor or Hand are the only equivalent to government members in other alliances whose signatures you see on their treaties, If you want to know who speaks for a alliance then you only need to look at who gives their consent on official documentation. I know there are alliances who mess around with stuff like this but ISX hasn't been one of them.

"This guy is explicitly named an advisor and thus obviously helps mold policy but he doesn't speak for the alliance even a little bit"

He hasn't been named "advisor" as a position within ISX, that isn't something I have said. All members are free to offer advice.

The information they are immediately privy to, which may instigate advice is what changes with their position.
