As some have already pointed out, this sounds a lot like what Nemesis was founded on. It was a great idea and would have worked, but a lot of the founding fathers had RL get in the way and weren't able to lead for very long ... four months or so, as Zoom3 said. In order for it to work, you'd need the core founders to retain interest and be dedicated for a good year. Obviously, that is difficult to do.

While I have stepped down three times in my career(twice from RoK, once from Nemesis)and therefore understand the joke, I've only made one public retirement thread. When I retired last October, I did so internally and have remained retired ever since ... ten months and counting.

While GATO shockingly got out of their own way enough to mount a decent war effort, I have to guffaw at them getting cocky at all.
Also, if we're taking a poll, I would choose CSN as the weakest link militarily.
Lastly, I miss the SF backchannels.

Actually, Taut was supposed to wait until after the war was over. She was only in Polar for the war and always intended to return afterwards. For whatever reason, he decided not to wait and suddenly decided to step down. The entire issue seems to matter only to people outside of the alliance though.

Four years ago today I created a nation. I typically hate online games, but a long banned friend told me that I'd like this one and he was right.
Thanks to all of my friends and enemies who have made things interesting enough for me to still be around. I'd get reflective and go back through my days in CN, but we all pretty much just scan such posts for our names and alliances anyway. -
