News from the port at Colombo, A new fleet of merchant ships are ordered to be constructed by the Master of port. The fleet is said to be with 25 small merchant ships (each with a capacity of 200 barrels and a crew of 50) and 5 Large merchant ships( each with a capacity of 800 barrels and a crew of 200) Royal funds have been sent to increase fishing activities and to increase the production of dried fish. The fort at Colombo is garrisoned with 100 more troops sent from Kandy. A decrease merchant ships from North India has resulted in increased exports to SAE , advisers express concern about economic monopoly of SAE and advice to increase trade with East Asian countries .

News from the Royal palace at Kandy, All inhuman punishments such as mutilation , burning, putting in a spike , drowning etc are here by banned and they will be replaced with hanging for extreme crimes(inactive at times of peace) , life sentences at work-camps and expulsion from the mainland. Thilinesian gunsmiths specialize in manufacturing light flintlocks with smaller bores than European guns, with their barrels extended for accuracy. The Thilinesians also developed a unique form of hand-held cannon, the kodithuwakkuwa. These innovations allowed the kingdom to produce heavy artillery on the scale and quality of European forces.
