1.
I think when TOP+Allies declared on MK+CnG in the BiPolar War it gave people a reminder of how things can go wrong if declare without a treaty obligation, you run the risk of everyone else deciding its time to e-lawyer it up with the treaties and pile as many alliances onto the attacker as they possibly can, then needing to pay high reps for the horrible crime of declaring a war before your treaty obligations make it necessary. Although Kerberos Nexus has no treaties and we were involved in two wars, the Six Million Dollar War and Roguefest 2010, and we're doing alright.
Hmmm... Seems that a piece of this action sounds a.... bit... normal?... nah... Familiar, that's it.
 2. I read pages 1 - 5 & 9 of this thread. My take on all I've read is this. Someone saw FAN roll out a potential green carpet in response to a Spy attack by a small allegiance in defense of a FAN Nation to show that FAN is ever watchful and responsive to the Planet BoB as it devolves around them. A kinder, gentler response than the past has shown that FAN is willing AND ABLE to provide btw. Now, within a week of such an action, two power blocks are Trying to roll over on their fat well enough to start something resembling a war over what could well be manufactured CB in the same tone that FAN brought to the evidence tray where FAN's was substantiated and real. Now, the postings following the announcements have devolved into exchanges of National Cowardice by being in PM VS. "How Brave I Am" posts for Not being in PM, additional accusations regarding the validity of the evidence provided in the CB et-al. What is really happening, IMHO, is everyone is trying to protect their Nations from damage, cover their allegiance "Street Creds" as fighters VS. peacemode players and nothing gets done about any war. Why is everyone acting like Kittens looking to get their belly fur rubbed and a soft "sweet kitty" whispered in their ear and walk away with a little dry mouth from talking a little too much, a little too lame and still sigh in relief that their Nations are untouched?
 3.
Well then that toy is a poor imitation of the real thing. It should go more like BRAAP BRRA-A-A-AP CLICK-JAM "&%^$!!!" *tap-rack-bang* CLICK-JAM-DOUBLE-FEED "MOTHER$%#^@#%$^@#*#!!!!!!!" PULL OUT MAGAZINE DISASSEMBLE UPPER RECEIVER CLEAR JAM REASSEMBLE BRAAP BRAA-A-A-CLICK-JAM "SON-OF-A-@#*%&!!!" GET SHOT IN THE HEAD WHILE TRYING TO CLEAR STOPPAGE.
Ah, the memories of Viet Nam... Gagh, well, I'm for the M14 or M2 Carbine. Then again, I'm also in favor of taking MFO to school to teach them the Creative Green Glass class too.
 4.
The number of double-standard holders in this thread is overwhelming.
To be expected... after all it involves FAN
 5.
I see unimpeachable evidence that one nation carried out a spy attack. I have seen nothing to even suggest that MFO endorsed or encouraged it, however. It's not all that hard to arrange for a single nation to commit an act of war under the flag of any alliance against any other alliance. It is the custom to respond to rogue attacks with a *narrow* military response - NOT a blitz on the entire originating alliance, and to allow diplomacy a chance to work, for a reason. The alternative is that every alliance can find itself at war at any moment, with no warning, because of a single rogue attack (whether the work of foreign agents or not) that they did nothing to encourage and could not possibly have stopped. I've always been fond of FAN, and the "Guns for Tots" program is truly praiseworthy. But blitzing an entire alliance over a rogue attack without even giving them a chance to deal with it? That is a precedent in no ones interest.
Ah, the "precedent" has already been set, lo many moons ago. You phail CN History for Remedial Students 101 or something? Or did you miss the Short Bus in creating your post?
