1. I have the highest damage ratio outside of DBDC, and I don't really consider them to be part of this war, they're just tech raiding everybody while we're busy shooting each other.

In Supremacy 1914, it is common practice for certain players to strike unprotected provinces, while the military might is focused on other fronts. On one hand we can revile the act. However, it isn't at all extraordinary that some get their kicks from exploiting the disadvantaged. In fact, I here it is also common place here...

  2. Gentle Persons

I do not drink so I will have to assume consuming large quantities of intoxicating beverages are required for this thread to begin to sound rational.  Given the merchandise being offered I can only offer this advice.Caveat emptor.

    Respectfully

    Dame Hime Themis

I don't recall drinks being passed around during negotiations. Onbekende, you better step up your game now that Hime has called you out.

  3. Also, sup SGC? Keep the tech either way. I know TOP really needs more. :D

I could be a time share? I love yew both <3

That's really nice of you Tela, for that I'd be willing to share Rota. You wanna do it Florida style, or divorcee (aka every other weekend)?

  4. That's quite a huge amount for such a worthless commodity.

Nah, Drew Carey called he said the price was right

As someone who's made and peeked at a lot of pointless babble over his career, this is probably the dumbest thing I've ever witnessed.

This, from you, means good things to me.

  5.

But we also recognize that the erudite Lex Quintus should make all future announcements for Kashmir, replete with literary analogies and festooned with all manner of dependent clauses and crafty witticisms.

This. So much this. My relationship with all those fine folk in Kushmir is on notice if this demand request is not met

  6. What on earth are you babbling about? I haven't bashed DBDC anywhere nor commented on them any further than stating that other alliances are clamoring to have them on their side.

You've essentially proved my point with that knee-jerk defensive reaction to something that wasn't even an insult.

No knee-jerking. Just a statement that is true regardless of whether or not it's applied here. Nothing is to presume that it is kiss-assery that is moving people over to their side. Granted, nothing is to presume that it isn't either. But of course when you flaunt it as though it is, well...don't get dizzy chasing your own tail

  7. I think you missed the point of my post. I wasn't referring to DBDC as "kissing ass".

Ah, well, I stand corrected, Starfox.

Wait, no, neither was I. Weren't you referring to others as kissing ass? Those nations of whom Hamilmania was implying were endorsing the alliance "virtually [of] being rouges"? If so, I'm saying that DBDC is not getting the gold medal here. An alliance lost their alliance head (with no heir) and DBDC came by and pointed it out.

Instead of this, supposed, monstrous alliance swooping in and preying on them, they didn't. Now we get an announcement that death has not reached one of our more respected alliances, and it was because DBDC decided to do the gentlemanly thing. We say "hurrah" to one and "thanks" to the other. Seriously, you gotta enjoy the simple things in life, and give the moment its due. I don't see a push for the redemption for DBDC after this, do you? You should probably move on from the effort to compartmentalize an alliance into the molded view you hold. All alliances of planet bob are too organic, with this landscape constantly changing, for stringent, unwavering, narrowly clamped perspectives.

  8. I remember when DBDC were getting attacked by virtually all alliances for being rouges... now they seem to be the 'alliance to love'.  :psyduck:

That's what happens when you have an average NS of 250k. People kiss ass.

I'm sure Cuba enjoys the change, and laughing at the pandering, though I can't fault them.

This has so little to do with kissing ass. This is the recognition of the moment, not a redemption thread. Inability to stay focused on the subject...why we can't have nice things

Fear is not a rational emotion.  You can respect something you know to be dangerous without having fear.  We all started with nothing and we will all end with nothing.  Fear does not guide us, fear does not control us, fear does not exist for us in this world.

Some targets will always cost more than others.  At some point I imagine several different alliances will band together to see what they can do to take us down and they will indeed learn the cost.  For now we strike at enemy alliances or the allies of those enemy alliances who have our friends at war.  I am personally a much bigger fan of doing something with purpose in this world than merely being a stat collector, but you are acting within the rules of planet Bob so different strokes and all of that.

I don't mean to be a stick in the mud, but fear is a rational emotion. Phobias are the irrational fears. Needless to say, DBDC is the spice Planet Bob's been missing, and what you've done here was nothing short of virtuous. DBDC is a new face to me. They may ruffle some feathers, or many, but to show respect where respect is due...Calhoun would be proud

  10.

From the outside, people probably think FEAR is talkin' !@#$ with these posts. Only us true believers know the depth of love it indicates.

    Toodles indeed. :)

♫When the trumpet of Admin shall sound, and CN is no more,

    And The End War breaks with devastating flair;

When the nations of both friend and foe gather face-to-face to war,

And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.♫

  11. Chax (et al), it's been a trip (and a half). In the end, all things fall apart...

Something about the journey, not the destination, and those along for the ride. "It is from their foes, not their friends, that cities learn the value of building high walls" and with that, those trying times, not our smoothest sailings, are the ones that enlighten us to our true strength.

I mourn not the passing of things, only that I could not have passed before them.

Genuinely, and from the deepest recesses of my soul,

    Toddles, cupcake

  12. No, trust me, Rotavele has more reasons to dislike me then he/she ever would Franz.

Rotavele is literally the worst CN has to offer.

Anyway I hate to sound like a mod, but I really don't see what your current "spat" with Starfox Rotavele has to do with OG or OBR.... :psyduck:

I wonder at what point it is when people just walk away from posts without having to respond to it.

Happy thanksgiving, and to make it pertinent, to those fine people in OBR also.

  13. we produce the content, we're all responsible for the quality of our world, if more took the initiative i do we'd be in a better place.

It's hard to say whether more or less folks (quantitatively speaking) is the solution for the quality of the world.

Then again, this all started because someone adequately made light of our current qualitative state. If it were different, the joke could not have been.
