  1. lolwut? Did you even read the post you quoted? The better idea is not getting new icons, because the old ones were fine.
  2. Are you kidding me? Why would we need new icons? What a waste of time that could have been spent adding new features instead. Also, the new icons look worse than the old ones. They all look kind of "3D" now, which makes them more complex to the eye and therefore less "iconic", and harder/slower to recognize.
  3. Question: what exactly does a "gradual increasing/decreasing" happiness mean. For example, if it's gradually increasing to +5, does that mean it starts at 0 and linearly increases to +5, so that the average is +2.5? The wording in the information index needs to be changed to eliminate this ambiguity.
  4. Rough calculations for the moon base/colony/mine for my nation (20k infra, 13k tech, agricultural resource set = 3 earth resources for Radon) initial investment: 1.2 billion additional (net) earnings accrued over the lifespan of the wonders: 4.0 billion effective ROI: 233% That's assuming 75% average hotspot efficiency, and the 90 day period it takes to get all 3 wonders set up for the first time has been amortized out. Additionally, the profitable infrastructure limit increases from 20k to 23k, and the curve becomes fairly flat all the way to 25k. woo more soldiers!
  5. Expected number of switches to get the resource you want = 2.25 (0 being you get the one you want right away).
  6. 2 slots left, get 'em while they're hot.
  7. Hello tech sellers, I am offering up to 6 individual $3M/100 tech deals. You know the drill. day1: receive $3M from me. day11: send 50 tech day21: send 50 tech Once our deal concludes, we can arrange to immediately do another 100 tech, if you wish. PM me in game. Provost Zakharov of Tandem. Thanks. Update: All slots have been filled. Thanks!
  8. It's actually 10% for every nuke. See here: http://www.cybernations.net/about_topics.asp#Nuclear_Weapons this is the formula I use: total upkeep = 10000*(1 + (n - 1)/10) uranium multiplies it by 50%, lead by 80%
  9. I assume you are referring to raiding. To quote you from before: So, first you give poor advice, and now you are advocating raiding. Shame on you.
  10. That is a completely meaningless statement. Quite well relative to what? Was land the best investment you could have made? Are you further now than if you spent that money on infra instead? I maintain that land in its current form is a poor investment.
  11. I believe that's my point. "Investing" in land isn't really going to help you out, and having tons of land does not negate the effects of this update. Contrary to what Diskord and others have been saying.
  12. That's right. If it takes 7.5 years to pay itself off, then it is a poor investment compared to things which return faster, such as improvements, wonders and infrastructure. If you wish to seriously dispute my statement, you're going to have to do a little better than the lol-smiley.
  13. I didn't have to buy it. I wanted to see how much land had improved after reading these rumors. Conclusion? Land is still worthless. I'm posting it here so other people can learn from it.
  14. All this stuff about land being better now is just lies. Land still sucks hard. I just bought 200 land (went from 3600 to 3800) and my income increased by 10,600/day. With a price tag of 29,000,000, that 200 land is going to take 7.5 years to pay itself off.
  15. I've noticed that the game can be accessed through either http://cybernations.net or http://www.cybernations.net Either way, all in-game links change to match the one you're using. Except one: on the world statistics screen, the "nation rankings" link always points to the www version, so if you're using the non-www version and you click this, it requires you to login again.
  16. I just bought a scientific development center which brings me to a total of 12 wonders, but it's still saying I have 11 wonders on the pay bills screen.
