I would have them be honest. They supported it to begin with, so now Tetris is just straight up lying when you say you didn't support it. No need for public berating, but a little consistency would not be the end of you.
You will find no record of me supporting it, and as far as my alliance goes my word is law.

You are correct, it's not the same. But, by posting screenshots, you have exposed that information to the general public who wouldn't have seen them had you not done it.
Yes, but going around sharing them with all of your contacts or 'friends' is doing essentially the same thing; showing information to people who wouldn't have otherwise seen them. Not really a big difference besides the number of people shown. I'm not saying what Hereno and Pollard did was somehow good, or moral, because its not a nice thing to do. But we are not guilty of the crime of spying.

    That came from Legion.
That is only proof we posted screenshots. Where is the proof that we actually did the spying?

Spying is not the same thing as posting screenshots. You are being intellectually dishonest confusing the two terms.

At any point did you ask Legion what you and by extension your alliance could do to make amends? Because telling Legion the things you would do is not the same thing. Even if the things you offer are the same things that would be requested. It reminds me of UPN bartering with Non Grata and then being surprised that the aggrieved party wasn't looking for a round of bartering but was wanting restitution on their own terms.
I did, and I was complying. I am a little surprised because I agreed to two things right away and had assumed they would come with more things they wanted us to do and eventually come see what the investigation produced. Being attacked while fulfilling their requests to get over all of this was not what I was expecting at all.
Recanting on your offer doesn't say much for your honor. For those who care for such things.
Neither does attacking after making requests to get over the situation. If they were not interested in reconciliation, why should I further comply with their requests? Though they were more concerned with looking like they have a spine and getting NSO involved. Such is the way of the world I suppose.

Hereno is not quite so bright for spying on Legion... C'mon, against Legion?!?! This is a joke, guys. Seriously, that move is like kicking a man in the balls, except it's a woman.

Anyway, props to Legion for taking this measure seriously and growing its reputation as a kind of an alliance to not screw around with. (About time).
Do you have proof Hereno spied on The Legion?

  5.
Someone stopped their politics education at an Associates. Let's take this one piece by piece.
Associates? Ouch man you totally got me there.
Yes, it was Hereno
Pretty sure we got attacked by Legion man.
Tetris screwed up, Tetris should go to Legion. Legion should not have to hunt you down to get answers from you, especially if the goal of your gov switch was to make things right.
We did go to Legion. If they wanted the information faster they could have come back to us, since you know I thought we were on cool speaking terms and all. At least that's the impression both of their representatives gave me.
Were for "naught."
Oh a spelling mistake, I obviously cannot be trusted.
A gov switchup doesn't change what Tetris the alliance did.
Yeah, I don't have a time machine, of course I can't change what we did in the past. What I did was take correct action, which actually shows we were sincere. And a government overhaul most certainly changes the believes of the government.
Spying is an aggressive act of war. The rsponse to an act of war is another act of war, say, counter-spying, or military retaliation. Legion has attacked you in response to your aggressive actions, they are defending themselves.
Good thing we didn't spy, so this whole part is irrelevant. So why are we at war?
Tetris seemed to be taking this pretty lightly with a topic title of "Sup, Legion?"

'Overthrown' is quite a stretch from what actually happened, which is more along the lines of 'election'.

Holding a Vote of No Confidence on a position that isn't elected is elected? Nice one bro.

May I ask what person Legion is protecting?

Me thinks you forgot to double check your copy-paste.
The ones who are making attacks upon my alliance of course. I forgot nothing.

Forgive me, but an argument that your past (see: within a week,) transgressions should be forgiven after your government firmly stated it was behind the actions of the individual is lacking.
While your efforts to remove these individuals are commendable, your word in this instance that you would cease your previously hostile actions towards another alliance would appear to be on somewhat shaky ground. That all should be forgiven when apparently little action against the individual who committed the transgression is evidence enough. You state yourself that he merely stepped down after committing a transgression that indeed as echoed by many in this cyberverse would constitute as an act of war against an alliance.
So I was basically doing everything right, except they couldn't take me at my word?

Anyways, yes transgressions were committed, but they are nothing worse than the crimes committed by many, even some who may have already posted in this thread do under the guise of pseudo-anonymity. I guess what we are debating is that you are claiming that spreading around screenshots taken by an unknown source is grounds for war. Because we certainly didn't spy, and to my best knowledge no one knows who the spy is. Now, I hope that you haven't ever spread around logs or screenshots of private conversations, because your logic follows that those actions are also acts of war. The only thing that separates those two scenarios is giving them to contacts and posting them for the world. Do I believe that our alliance should try to make amends with Legion? Yes, and that's exactly what I tried to do. Is posting screenshots given to you from other people an act of war? Absolutely not. A crappy thing to do? Sure.

  8.
I'm skeptical of that considering evidence has been provided that suggests Tetris did quite the opposite, at least initially.
It is certain that Tetris did willingfully distribute private information from Legion's forums.
Evidence provided shows Tetris' initial reaction was one that was totally behind the perpetrator in this instance, with little indication that future communication on the matter would be nothing more than mere farce.
Am I to believe they might regret their actions now? Some might even be happy to get what they wanted in goading The Legion? Perhaps, but that's speculative.
Before you go off trying to make a case for Legion's innocence you should know that we did much more than "reshuffle government." A vote of no confidence on your leader after publicly humiliating your alliance should be the first inclination that we were sorry about what happened. Our PoFM had also elected to step down from his post. Then I went to Legion and apologized to at least two members, one being Totem himself. I also said I would personally investigate where the screenshots were from. I guess they decided they didn't really care and attacked without asking me what I had found out, only like what? One or two days after I told them it would never happen again. Oh yeah I also said I would apologize to their entire alliance on their board.

Well Legion, I am ending my investigation and all previous offers are off the table. Apparently you would rather defend your honor than do some diplomacy and work with a government who has a completely different opinion of the previous administrations actions.

  9.
Of course, RV. An alliance that openly and unashamedly spies on another and announces it publicly should never be held to account for those actions by the aggrieved alliance. Poor Tetris.

The only reason Tetris did what they did was to allow you and others to take a shot at Legion and, by connection, Polar. You aren't coming to their defence, you are providing support for their spy attacks on Legion.
Hey you, when did we spy on Legion? What we did was post screenschots that who knows who gave to a member of ours, into World Affairs. If someone would gain spied screenshots from CNTEL and post them onto World Affairs I hardly think they would be getting attacked. If you can prove that we spied or that we know who the spy is, then I agree Legion has a valid CB. I have yet to see any evidence. This is an open invitation for anyone who supports these aggressive action by Legion.

Hello everyone. I didn't expect us to be making an appearance on this bulletin board used for important communications with the world again so soon, but someone has made our presence here necessary. So apparently our alliance is getting attacked for the previous administration's actions of posting second, third, or forth hand snippets of their general membership forums in a public venue. So I went ahead and rounded up support from everyone and took back control. Then I went and talked to a couple of Legion people for awhile and said I would launch an investigation to root out the mole on their forum, even though I had nothing to do with it, and had found out about the screenshots the same way most of you did. This was the very night I was placed as Game Developer and would be the last time we would speak, they made no efforts to follow up before this declaration.

So we recognize many things today. We recognize that our efforts of reconciliation were for not. We recognize that the stances of one overthrown administration can be approvingly attributed to the newer, more apologetic one. We recognize that one alliance can claim for themselves the status of defender, when it is been the other who had been the declarer. And of course, we recognize that The Legion has declared war on our alliance.

As this was an aggressive action willfully perpetrated with the support of the government of The Legion, All alliances that enter in defense of their action will be treated as aggressors and dealt with as such. Tetris does not enter into this lightly and has explored all avenues of diplomatic resolution. The direct attack upon my alliance can not be tolerated, nor can the act of government sponsored protection of person(s) involved in said act.

Ridin High, Game Developer of Tetris.

What? I thought Pollard would surely be in that line up? What happened? :P

Congratulations on the reshuffle. Hopefully this will be a good opportunity to examine where your efforts are really best applied. If you take this moment to re-adjust your FA priorities, I'm sure the unpleasantness of the last week can be as water under the bridge.

    Good luck moving forward.
Thanks, we can only hope.

  12. Hello everyone, I'm back. So yeah we are going to be switching things up a little bit here. Tonight we held a vote of no confidence for our Game Developer, and of course our government members unanimously agreed. So it appears that I have been chosen among the others to be the leader. I'm sorry to those who were burnt in the past couple months, I will be contacting you soon to privately discuss these issues.

    To the future o/

Edit: Welp shows how far apologizing to Legion can get you.
