  1. GPA lost its neutrality a long time ago. You don't have to choose sides in a war to lose your neutrality.

As a former GPA member, I could not agree more.

The GPA is basically an anti-Orders alliance that won't fight about it. (More broadly, they tend to loathe anyone who has ever been in the WUT, except....well, never mind.)

  2. Hell, the more alliances that join this, the less power that NoV, the major apparent 'threat' of this hegemony, has. So if anything, using the ideology of not joining it to restrain its warmongering would essentially give NoV more say and/or incentive.

Yes, we took part in this agreement in order to "restrain [our] warmongering."

    We are so busted.

*kingzog does his second facepalm of the day

tl;dr - For those who can't read three lines: faulty premise is faulty.

  3. To elaborate, it seems Martens wishes to invite all Maroon alliances. Except the ones that have been in conflict. So... the point of a united maroon is what? To stop conflict?

So clearly it makes the most sense to exclude from such a unity attempt the alliances that have been in conflict. Good form, guys.

In the aftermath of the recent global conflict it would be foolish to think that those who were enemies only a few weeks ago might become friends overnight. This does not preclude the fostering of positive relations between Maroon alliances, although it seems that some in the Maroon sphere would rather troll than make nice.

That's your choice, not one that has been magically "forced" upon you.

This treaty represents a goal that all Maroon alliances may aspire toward: unity. If you have no interest in the subject, then what is required of you is absolutely nothing. If, however, you believe that unity in the Maroon sphere is important, then you might wish to stop criticizing others for taking a positive step that others have failed to make.

If you or others wish to see this as some kind of exclusive association as a result of the above, that is certainly your prerogative. Please don't let the fact that you're wrong interfere with your reasoning.

  4. If you want to try and repeal your sentencing, do so in a PM to a NoV upper official and not in a thread on NoV or CN forums. Doing that will only worsen your chances.

    Striderwannabe

....whereupon you immediately posted a thread on the CN forum.

You really don't get it, do you?

Also, to those who whine about 'freedom of speech', I invite you to post seditious material on the CN forum while your alliance is at war. If your alliance has any sense, then all the "my opinion/not my alliance's" disclaimers in the world won't save you.

  5. To be fair, in NoV's conflict with the LSF, the LSF did have a presidentnorris-produced propaganda film on YouTube.

I believe it stayed up for about a day or, rather, until norris sobered up and realized that his choice and order of images suggested that NPO/NpO/GGA/NoV and others were responsible for 9-11. Also, it wasn't clear which side the video was intended to support until the last four or five seconds.

Perhaps the quality propaganda producers are on vacation?

  6. YES IM ON THE BLACKLIST!!!!!! THANK YOU ALL WHO VOTED FOR ME!!!!!!

and why is flooball world on there, he surrendered day 1

There was no vote, cheezy. That was me.

    And you're welcome.

Why not simply expel the blacklisted nations from the alliance, and allow the LSF to continue?

I don't want a CN without the LSF...

You're always welcome to resign from the GPA and join them.

  7. Why the blacklist? Did these people nuke you or something?

A quick read of the war-related threads should answer your question.

And Green Pieces from Piece of Green isn't on this list ...

Neither are approximately 100 other nations who flew the LSF AA until they adopted their laughable (and seemingly color-coded) "guerrilla tactics". Your point?

LSF members who have been begging to surrender since this war began now have the chance to rebuild. I trust they will take advantage of this opportunity.

  8. Why am I not surprised? But unless the NPO decide that this is against the protectorate they have with NoV, unfortunately it won't make any difference; spying is only wrong if it's politically expedient to act upon it, according to many of the powerful alliances.

NoV and the NPO have an MDP. Try to keep up with the rest of us.

Also, we apologize to the LSF for being unable to declare war on targeted nations who are also sitting in peace mode. Our knowledge of game mechanics is good but until Admin decides to join it's unlikely we'll be able to work the kind of miracles that are expected of us.

    Nice try, though.

  9. I am curious what FAN has to say, if anything, about him getting booted. I served with FAN for six months, and during my time there I never saw them kick anyone for defending themselves against anyone. I think there is more to the story than our friend is letting on.

    Shhh....you'll scare away the vultures.

  10. I still do not understand why the poll feature is enabled. Nothing meaningful or productive comes out of a poll thread. The majority of posts are "I voted yes", which is roughly equivalent to spam if you aren't willing to debate why you are right/wrong.

Most folks I know tend to vote the opposite of what they actually believe. I know I do.

    Also, voted 'no'.

  11. That conversation was strictly between friends and was meant to be ooc. and represented my own personal thoughts and opinions, and was not the opinions or policies of the ASC. If they were, I would have said so in the convo.

To post an ooc convo that was expressly meant between two friends was a violation of trust.

"You publicized the fact that I'm behaving in a two-faced manner and that makes me sad."

    Bad Bilrow! Bad!

  12. I have read this thread with some interest, but I am dismayed by its overall theme that ASC is somehow "ruining the game" for others.

Ruining the game would never include an alliance-wide policy to play Team America: World Police and attack small tech-raiding alliances, as eventually ASC will learn that one of their targets has ties they were unaware of and will find themselves, let us say, an "awkward" situation.

I guess what I'm saying is that it takes some effort to ruin the game. Adopting a foolish policy merely makes one, well, foolish.

  13. This.

Its generally considered polite for alliances to warn other alliances if they have information about a potential threat, but hardly mandatory.

Do you speak for LUE 2.0 as a whole, or are you merely intending to endanger yourself by continually trolling?

Let me repeat an important point, since you seem to be hard of hearing: neither TPF nor NoV owe you an explanation.

If you wish to continue in this manner, please do it on your own forum. Trolling NoV and TPF at the same time is only foolhardy, since neither alliance is famous for having an especially long fuse.
